MDA III help!!!

I can't restart my MDA III, It's died. Display appeared only the words:" Serial v 2.05"!!! I have tried hard reset but not operate at all. anyone knows how to restart normally..plzz helps me!!

You need to flash your rom. Search this forum to see how.

I can't solve this problem with all following instructions with holding power button and press reset or hold power button and camera button and reset .... but display allways appear with this words "serial v2.05"
anyone has other advice ????..thanks in advance!!!

Then reinstall the ROM to your MDAIII.

thanks for help but my device can't synchronize with ActiveSync, how I can update ROM.... Display allways appear Serial v 2.05, Can you show me how to synchronize with device first???

No need for synchronization.
TIP:
1. Remove PDA from cradle.
2. Reboot your PC.
3. Replace PDA back in cradle.
4. Install new ROM.
Should work.

P3300 Boot Problem

Please Help
I Have A P3300 And After Changing Rom (had Greek Rom) And I Put The Pdaviet The Pda Can Not Boot.
I Tried With Hard Reset To Make It Boot Again But Even If I Tried Several Times The Result Is Always The Same:
Ipl 3.04.0001
Spl 3.04.000.
Gsm 02.93.90
Os 4.0.0.0
And The Booting Stops There
Does Anybody Can Help?

Boot Problem
Unfortunately I Can Not Syncronize It So I Can Not Put The Boatloader

you can go into the bootloader by pressing the voice speed dial button and soft reset your device.
then you will get a 3 collor screen (red,green and blue). if you are in the screen connect your usb cable and you will have a connection so you can update the rom.
first use USPL and after that run the rom update utility

Unfortunately The Spl Can Not Finish And Stuck Always In 50.
From 30 To 50 The Message Is :cant Spawn Cmd.exe.:no Such File In Directory C:

The first time that I have attempted to perform the upgrade to a cooked rom and everything has gone horribly wrong.
A reset (using the pin hole) gives a blank display. Nothing at all.
A hard reset (using pin hole and soft keys) gives the option to perform hard reset by pressing Yes. This then gives HTC logo screen and then system hangs after displaying
IPL 3.13.0001
SPL 1.11.0000
I can go into bootloader screen (pressing two side buttons) and can connect USB. When I try to install factory ROM or any cooked ROM it stops at 2% and gives me an error saying
Error 228 - Invalid File Size
Is there anything I can do to save my device?
Please help.

are you sure that you have the right factory rom?
must be the one that was on your device when you bought it!
had the same problem! flashing with original rom solved it!

Yes - this is the WM5 rom that I had orginally before upgrading to WM6.

Bootloader is not just by pressing two buttons. Press both the buttons and make a soft-reset. When the tri-color screen appears, connect to USB and perform the ROM upgrade again. If it fails, perform the upgrade with a factory ROM. This will bring back your device to working condition.
Next time before flashing, make sure you have applied Hard SPL once.

Help me to unlock htc 8525 spl1.11

i have a htc 8525 at$t locked-details as below
rom version 2.15.502.3
rom date 04/09/07
radio version 1.40.30.00
bootloader screen details as below
HERM100
IPL-1.03
SPL-1.11
i got HTC_Hermes_SIM_Unlock_v2a to unlock-in it procedure as below.
Install Instructions:
1. Enter bootloader mode on your Phone. To do this, simultaneously hold side OK and POWER buttons together and reset
with stylus.
[You should see SPL-1.04 on the top of the tri-color screen, if you see SPL-1.06 this unlocker will not work, please
wait for the next version]
2. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB lead.
3. Run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe program – this will reflash your phone with a patched radio ROM required to unlock.
4. Wait patiently.
5. Once the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe upgrade completes, it will end up saying "Upgrade Error 114", but the patched radio ROM
will be flashed anyway, dont worry about that error!
6. Soft reset with stylus (Device will not be hard reset and no data will be lost)
7. Allow your phone to reboot. Once it has, connect to your PC using Activesync, and copy the HERM_Unlock_v2a.exe program
onto your phone. Alternatively, copy it to an SD card and insert into your phone.
8. Run HERM_Unlock_v2a.exe on your phone. Wait about 1 minute.
9. You should see a "SUCCESS!" message from HERM_Unlock_v2a.exe, after that soft reset your phone.
10. Process is (hopefully) complete!
11. If the phone requests unlock code when you put a locked SIM, the code is: 22051978
but my doubt is my SPL is 1.11
can i unlock using HTC_Hermes_SIM_Unlock_v2a?

[Q] Bricked Artemis - can enter bootloader

Hello,
a friend of mine probably bricked his Artemis. He tried to flash, but did not HSPL first. Now the device can enter only bootloader. I tried many USPLs, MTTY, micro SD but nothing worked.
The version of SPL is 1.14, active sync does not go green after connecting, but if I try to flash, it is recognized and returns Error 300. I guess I need the original ROM, but it was in czech and I cannot find it anywhere.
Any ideas are very welcome.

for SPL Artemis you can try this and to l his official ROM you can look at -> http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=windows mobile&model = Artemis​ but first try to him that your friend's device hardreset !! like this way :To perform a hard reset
Press and hold the Left SOFT KEY and the Right SOFT KEY, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button at the lower left side of your device.
Release the stylus, but continue pressing the two soft key buttons. Release them only when you see the following message on your device screen: “Press Send to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.“
Press on your device. Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed.

thanks for ideas. HR cannot be made - returns error like "cannot format partition".
On the shipped ROMs site I cannot download anything - it only says something about redirection on ppc geeks

whats your red numbers and letters at device start-up?

I can get only to bootloader, so the IPL : 1.14.0001 and SPL 1.14.0000 , that's all I can get

hmm, after a communication with official HTC servise in Czech Republic I got the number of original ROM and successfully downloaded it.
But still the same issue. Is it possible, that Bootloader is corrupted ? The guy told me that it is the only possible cause, if this ROM does not work

Try this original rom..
The bootloader of this rom matches yours..
(1.14.0000)
1. Put device into bootloader
2. Connect device to PC
3. Run the RUU
4(a). If this does not work, then you are stuck in the mud..
4(b). If that original rom does work, then click here for USPL 1.11.CMON
