I'm having some random trouble with MorphGear. I did a hunt an can't really find any help on my problems with it.
Ive got it all installed an it runs no problem. I've got the generator thing installed to play Mega Drive games an got Sonic running - heres my problems tho.
1. I've downloaded the game pad on here (see link below) an done what it says but only 2 of the buttons work (A & B). D pad works fine

2. When I enable sound its poppy, slow an like it struggling and the game slows right down. Soon as I take the sound off its fine.

1) Read this Better MorphGearPerformance and 4 button gamepad or this Play GBA/GB/GB Roms and 2 button controller
2) dont use sound, device is not good enough for this!

Thats kinda sux on the sound! Being my Nokia N73 using the Picodrive can run a full spec sound an full frame rate you would thin ka windows Mobile would handel it with ease

hello, im actually using a cavalier, but i was hoping someone here would be able to help me out, i used to use a dash and ive gotta say, ive never seen a bigger or better collection of people willing to help a brother out. Im using pocketsnes on my cavalier but for some reason when im playing, ill be moving with the dpad and press one of the softkeys to jump or shoot or what ever, and the dpad movement stops, so i have to take my figer off the dpad then press it again. now this may not seem like a big deal, but if youve played super mario world, which im sure most of you have, you need to press the run button while holding the dpad direction. anyone have an idea? i was thinking it was maybe a windows mobile setting somewhere, i know that WM pro has an option for long key strokes and what not. anyway, i appreciate any and all responses, thanks in advance
Which version of PocketSNES are you using?
Not sure what to tell you. I tried to duplicate the problem on my dash using PocketSNES 1.53 and Super Mario World and did not find any problems. The two biggest things that it could be is the version you are using or your key mapping for the emulator. Off topic, how does the cavalier handle SNES emulation with sound enabled? Does it run pretty smooth?
im using 1.53 as well. runs just about perfectly with sound, a tiny bit of choppiness, but totally playable and im sure fixable with some setting adjustments. when i use W A S D for the directions i have no problem, but when i use the dpad, it doesnt repeat the key stroke when i press anything else. maybe its the rom? i have no idea. help is appreciated

Wow, that is weird... I wonder if the problem is a hardware issue although I know the two phones are almost similar besides the processor, camera and ram, etc. I'm not sure what it could be at this point.
I'm sorry for resurrecting this topic, but I've a related question:

Just reposting this as a start of the themes and apps for X1 .
Now who was it that insisted that Xperia lacked a 3D chip? Thanks to itje for basing his latest Custom ROM on the leaked R3AA ROM and seperately providing CABs to some of the goodies available in the new ROM version, you can get your hands on ‘Xtrakt’ - a new 3D game by Sony Ericsson – right now! The game has really great graphics and runs quite smoothly on the device. Though it warns not to run any other applications when playing the game, it ran just fine with SPB Screenshot running besides it.
Best controlled with a stylus, you control the main character of the game on a future motorcycle destroying monsters. Doesn’t sound too appealing, i know, but the game is actually good! Better than many games that i’ve played on my iPhone and opens the door to better gaming on Windows Mobile. (True that an accelerometer would have been quite handy in handling the bike, but stylus/finger control of the bike sits well with the game).
To download head on here. You do not need to flash to the custom ROM to play this game. However, there definitely might be better graphics drivers in the R3AA ROM than the R2 or R1 ROMs.

No need to double post it! (I know you probally just hit the submit reply button 2x on accident ).
Stock rom should run just as good as a custom one. It uses hardware acceleration with OpenGL drivers that are already on the phone so.

Install to phone, not to storage card
i did........
doesn't even let me get as far as to ask. i've tried installing it *from* both storage card and main memory, but it instantly says unsuccessful.
might be due to VF hackery.
ah well, i'll just wait til it actually get released.

Working now. I think perhaps that I didn't have enough room in my memory so it failed. Excellent graphics and game play, 10 levels! Very impressive to show people, certainly throws a punch against the iPhone!

i am making a game called ganondolf's adventure (named after me).
I have made a demo for u guys, its an alpha build. im hoping u could give me suggestions and tell me of any bugs.
this is a 3 level build.

Know Stuff:
Game is a bit laggy
not much sound
no animations
Save / Load does not work yet
bug: player falls through ground sometimes (i think this is caused by the lag jerks the player in the wrong place).
my x1 has been sent for repair (cracking probs) so cant test myself. i and a friend has tested a 1 level build so there should not be any probs installing (i have a x1, he has a touch pro 2).

update:
good start,
after looking and waiting at the "ganondolfs.. presents" screen for like 2 min (after which i realized i had to tap the screen,) the rest of the menu was straight forward although none of my hardware keys worked during the game/menu (with the exception of the xpanel.
the instructions seemed easy to understand, although clicking "main menu" resets the game to the intro (which is okay, didnt mind it, just fyi.)
load game doesn't work correctly yet, as you have stated.
Game: seems easy but hard since the lag (due to being the alpha), also difficult to know just how close i can get to the enemies with out dying ( large character, but you dont need to change that its fine)
opening the keyboard doesn't seem to rotate the screen but does change the lay out of the hardware directional pad.
i did manage to jump out of the game (quickly pressing up+right/left lead me to an invisible platform then out of the screen by jumping over the bricks)
its fun and looks nice too, reminds me of the Prince of Persia (funny how anything in the air appears OVER the on screen buttons )
keep up the good work, looking forward to the future of Ganondolf software's games. hope my observations help the development.

it suppose to go back to the main menu screen, i will change it. i made it unlimited lives as i know how hard it is, will have save working on the level complete screen.
lag is a problem, trying to fix it.

Ok, so earlier on i was having a mees about with the deviceconfig.xml in the asphalt obb file.
I got some good graphics working but it added a bit of lag.
I have now created a deviceconfig.xml wich will put the game to max graphics and also be extremely smooth. (Its about the same as we have now with the latest update, if not smoother)
Basicly what i have done is....gone into device config.xml and swithed our device with the galaxy s3, our device falls under medium-hi dev class. (That class has bad graphics) and changed it with high-dev class devices (galaxy s3 max graphics) so all i have done is switched the to names around.
There are one or two graphic effects i have turned off. They are very minor and not even noticable.
So..... heres what you have to do.
1. Copy the .obb file off you're device from android/data/obb/ com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA7HM/ main.101.com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftA7HM.obb
2. Using 7 zip right click the file and open archive, now go to data/deviceconfig/ and you will see 1 file (deviceconfig.xml) delete it. It will take anout 2 minutes to delete.
PLEASE READ If anyone is nterested in having the game the way it should be then what we need to do is tell gameloft to enable hires_map for tegra 3 on twitter. just simplyu copy and paste this to gameloft. @gameloft please enable hires_map for asphalt heat tegra 3 {nexus 7) also put it in youre review in the playstore. it seams a bit extreme but otherwise we wil never have the game the way it should be. wich is what we all thought we where getting when we purchased it.
if enough people do this then maybe they will listen. its no good one or two people doing it as gameloft seam happy with the game the way it is.
3. Now copy the new deviceconfig.xml over o where the old one was. Once again this will take about 3 minutes to copy over.
4. Now exit 7 zip, delete the obb file wich is still on youre tablet and now copy the new one over.
5. Start the game, it will tell you it needs to download 1mb of data (this normaly resets everything we have done but it wont)
6. Enjoy.
I put a lot of trying and error into this to get it working the way it is. If there are any hiccups i will once again edit this file.
UPDATE!!!!!!
Enabled msaa
enabled gamma illuminance
enable high quality car shader
maybe one or two more things.
there is not much i can do in reguards to the enviroment. allthough it does look better.
you should try a quick race on huwai and you should see the differance. i noticed a slight frame rate drop every now and then, nothing to bad though and i am enjoying the game very much the way i have this xml set up.
i reccomend you pull the xml you are using now and keep it on youre computer for backup reasons, incase you think the game is to laggy.

this as hire map enabled. i disabled some other graphices to make this even remotely playable. i would not reccomend you keep using this si its laggy. this is just to show you what the game should look like. infact it should look better than this but as i said i dissabled some effects.ie gamma illuminance. post process render textures. dynamic car shader.

I hear batman does not have that good graphics on nexus 7. I dont have the game and not sure if there is a deviceconfig.xml in the files. But if someone can check and if there is, upload it here. I would be more than happy to take a look and see wht i can do.
I hav checked nova 3 and moden combat 3 and cant see a deviceonfig.xml so there is nothing i can do with those two games. Maybe spiderman has one but i dont own that game either.

Spiderman has very glitchy graphics and could really do with a tweek! I've deleted it off my tab to make room for Horn so can't fit it back on to check if it has one of these files.

i can confirm that this does work to improve the graphics of A7. most improved was the reflections off the car what was dull before has environmental reflections now. hard to tell if there has been any track or environment improvements maybe leelaa can go into detail on what he has done?

TDKR graphics are not bad at all and it's actually a fun game. i will have a look at the obb for it in a few.

first have your N7 plugged into the PC. go into your my computer and in your drives list it should have your n7 as the last one. look at the file list and open the android folder two options data / obb click obb. open the folder for A7HM. you will see the a7hm obb file listed as 1.36g right click copy. right click your desktop and select paste. if you did it right a pop up should come up showing the file moving to your pc.
then follow leelaas directions.
I just tried the fix and I can also confirm that it improves some graphics, namely the reflections on your car and the motion blur effect while using NO2.
Some minor problems occurred though: on the Rio track, at some points opponent cars appeared to disappear and reappear out of nowhere. Also, the game doesn't wait for you to touch the screen to continue after you've finished a race, moving instead right on to the results screen. Both of these are relatively minor niggles considering the improvement.

what i have mainly done is switched are device config withe the galaxy s3's. the galaxy s3's class in the deviceconfig.xml has all graphics turned on. the only one that isnt is use_msaa {multi sample anti alasing} i have tried with this turned on and it does improve the overall quality of the graphics slightly, but there was quite a bit of frame rate drops. it was still very playable but i wanted to keep the game as smooth as possible and at the same time keep an acceptable frame rate. if anyone would like i could upload the deviceconfig.xml with the mssa enabled? and you can decide on the performance vs graphic quality.
as for the game going straight to the results, i have noticed this too. i dont know what is causing it but really isnt a problem. as the only thing you can really do after a race is touch the screen to continue. so really i see this as saving us doing a job lol. i will take another look in the xml in about an hour and see what i can bump up.
on a side note, i put the gameplay hud in low res texture. i personaly cant notice any diferance but this improved performance.

ok so i have bumped every setting i can, and for some reason it plays smoother than the last one i uploaded here. i cocked up one setting though and you could only see the car wheels. but not the actual car. i would say the lightiong and enviroment is as good as we can possibly get. i dont think we will ever see these graphics on our device from gameloft. just waiting for the obb file to copy to my device so i can see if i have corrected the car issue where you can see wheals only. if all is well i will upload. i think this can be compared to ios graphics if not better.

Been playing the updated graphics version on the elite kernel set at 1.6 with the 650gpu and there is no lag at all. Why the he** is gameloft dumming down the graphics for n7 owners? Total crap from dumbloft

No it is not the new link, the next one i put will be calked updated. I have been running asphalt now with max graphics. Even graphics that are not turned on by default ie use_msaa and gamma_illuminance. I want to change the actual gamma file as i think i can make the graphics look even better. This process will take about 10 minutes and i know i can do it so theres no worries there.
The only problem is my lapop screen is completely broke so i have to connect it to our tv. But my wife is eatching the soaps. Its a stupid situation, but new file will be up tonight. And trust me, you will love it
Sorry or the hold up guys.
So my next process will be......edit the gamma.txt file, and test that on one or two tracks. If that pans out the way i want it to i will upload. If it does not look as good as the one i am testing now i will revert the gmma.txt and upload.
So there may be two files you have to copy over this time.
I will update the instructions if needed.

The reason why are device has the bad graphics is dow to the xml. There are 4 classes low,medium,medium hi dev and high. For a strange reason our device falls in the meium category. I dont know why this happens but its something gameloft need to sort. But they dont seem to of acknowledged this at all. Because when the game was released our device was in medium class. And it was very bad, yes fir enough they updated the game and the graphics looked slightly better and framerate- bu in other places the graphics are worse. The main thing is that our device still falls into medium class.
All they really need to do is create a tegra class and assign our device to that class along with other tegra devices. Its such a simple fix but they dont do it. They are lazy and take shortcuts by doing what i am doing now and it seems they cant even do that properly.
We bought the game that was advertised, not a work in progress.

Dear XDA Developers,
I have searched everywhere looking for a way to get this Half Life Quake port working on my Xperia Play. So far out of the few Quake android ports. Ql4A is the only one that runs it, and it doesn't let press buttons and there is no use item. The other ports don't works as well, so I recommend using Ql4A. Has anyone found a way to get it working or found an alternative Quake port that is able to run the game with use button working? Is there a Xperia Play optimized Quake port that can run this? Please help, I want to play Half LIfe so bad!
I know its possible because of this.

Ok, i finally figured it out by myself. (thanks for the help guys)
Heres what you do:
Edit in config.cfg buttons, and it just to be sure to root of game (\Quake) and all roots of mods (\Quake\hl).
-It's important to set "usebutton" in Config.cfg, there's no way, how you can set it in game; I set it on JOY1, it's my joystick button, and I advice to you, to set primary and secondary fire too, I set it on q and r, it's my softkeys (that two under display, depends on your device, you can't found it in game controls settings).

This is really amazing work; I don't know how you got all these half life models and maps to work with Kurok.....you even have the flashlight working, and the use button for using the health and armor chargers and doors. Crouching also works for the most part with the select button. And secondary fire! You're very good at quakeC. great work
One question, why do the models seems like jelly? They don't have a perfectly solid shape

I never figured it out. But if you download quake touch and select the folder where you keep the half life mod files and then set the menu button as something you can do it. Email the Quake Touch developer who is really helpful if you can't figure out how to set the button
