Hello Everybody,
Made this thread so that there be a common point where you can find all the Roms either cooked or upgraded ones. I would like all of you to get involved and use this thread and paste the links of all the Roms along with their snapshots so that who so ever flash a new rom knows how it looks.
Hope this thread be a useful one for all of us.

Sorry to bother you, I'm sure this info is somewhere (or if I understood it a bit better), but if someone could clear a few things up:
1) Have downloaded Hard-SPL 1.23, 1.34 and the latest version - is the newer better/more stable? Or I do have to use the one that matches the ROM I am flashing to?
2) If I want to do a cooked a ROM, will any of the versions of Hard-SPL listed above work for that too?
3) Is there an easy way to back up operator settings (internet, voice mail number etc?) Just got it so there's nothing else on it that needs backing up.
4) Offical ROMs are in .exe format, can I just install them on to my XDA?
Edit: Found the official ROMs, just required looking through several pages (sorry). Can anyone answer the other questions, especially how to back-up network settings.
For the mo I just want to get rid of the O2 branding.
Thanks for your time - have been a mod on several forums and I know you end up having to answer questions 20 times over.
Cheers,
Joe
Regarding Hard SPL, read here fully and carefully. It will tell you all you need to know.
With regards to ROMs, you could use the official ones but you will find AZTOR ROMs far superior. (AZTOR = Alpha Zero Tweaked Official ROM) or alternatively Shaks.P ROM in my signature which is set up for the UK. Both will automatically detect your network and use the correct settings and both are as stable as the original ROMs but with improved performance
I have a UK o2 xda ignito, and the only hard spl I have used is 1.93 from this thread.

Most of the modded roms can be flashed with the included utilities. But most of the official 2.03 roms can only be flashed from internal storage.
Any info you need can be found with the search function, with a little time.
All the best.

Responding To Questions:
1) It doesn't have to match your original SPL...if the one you have downloaded works then use it. Very few chefs recommend a specific Hard SPL with there ROM. But this is so rare.
2) if you want to flash a unsigned ROM then you need a developers edition Hards SPL.....or jocky's works as well....I personally use 1.93 so I recommend that one.
3) don't worry about backing up operators settings.....most of these roms come with a "Connection Setup" which allows you to select from a list of operators and it does everything for you. I also have a little app for this if your rom doesn't have this.
@Everyone: thanks for your help.
Will install the 1.93 Developers HSPL and see how that goes.
Can anyone recommend a ROM (don't want any visual tweaks)?
Thanks again
Asking such a question can close this thread .........
This is out of the respect of the chefs who work hard. Please refrain from this topic regarding best roms, etc.
Just try them out and read the threads.

I understand people have put a lot of hard work in and have taken a look at a few cooked ROMs, and fully intend to start cooking my own when (if) I have learned the skills.
However just got it and it has O2 branding, so i'd like to play with the original interface for a day or two before I start seeing what can really be done with the interface
Yeah, good idea, this will allow you to compare the true difference between a original and a cooked Rom. That is where one can begin to truly see how much better a cooked Rom is.
AZTOR version for UK?
Gonna try the AZTOR, looks like its got some solid improvements without affecting the UI, which version (WWE/GER) are using for the UK Mike?
Thanks again everyone, you've been a great help.
A mod can close this thread if you want now, got my problems sorted.
Thanks all.

You won't have much spare time now you have started flasshing
Hello all,
To be clear I'm not asking for a ROM, I'm asking if the XDA-Dev tools can be used to produce a TG01 ROM?
I've just got one on an upgrade and I'm not sure if I like it enough yet, one of the big deals would be if I could take a dump of the factory installed ROM and then play around trying to get it how I like it. And then I geuss a follow on question would be, can the HTC roms be used on the TG01?
I know that XDA-Dev is really for HTC devices, just think this is the best source on the net to ask WinMo brains a question.
Cheers
Until there's a way to flash your modified ROM back (without bricking the device too), what's the point of playing with the ROM dump reconstruction?
To answer your question, yes, you can use some of the tools found here with TG01 ROM dump, e.g. to rebuild IMGFS. Most probably existing tools won't be capable of creating a flashable ROM image in the format TG01 expects/supports though. Especially since this format is not known yet AFAIK.
Hello,
because for a noob like me, it's very difficult to see the differences between ROM's, I want some hints and advice for this.
I noticed the ROM of Shady and the ROM of Emrulez. For me the difference is not clear.
Can someone compare those ROM's please?
Also the word kitchen isn't clear .... :$
There is no differences. You should say Kudos to Microsoft for these ROMs and their effort. The cookers here only add and delete programs using kitchen.
thats my question, whats the difference.
nobody?:s ...
Yes it is a good question.
I am trying to figure it out myself.
At the moment, only thing that I am certain about, is that build number is different
is there any difference about battery drain ?
well the build number is like an update of the windows, higher build >>more recent release.
and roms differs with stability, free ram, storage, bugs, addons
that's why every1 r keep trying till he got the rom he like.
and about the battery drain,, they r differs too, since some have a UI interface which drains battery and other background processes assuming they use the same radio version since the radio version is one of the important things with battery drains.
to build a rom u need to build a kitchen with by it u can do it... there some ppl who like to share their kitchens to make any1 can modify the rom with his needs.. but to do that u have to know a few things
hope this helped
maybe it's a good idea if someone (I? ) creates a new topic with a Rom-overview?
The first message will show all the ROMS with the following info:
Date of last update
Windows version, build number
Programs added
Programs deleted
Free Memory
Bugs
Link to the topic
...?
Based on that message, users can choose their favorite ROM. I do not want to make a competition of this, only make it user friendly to choose.

Hello thanks for your information. So there is no general kitchen which i can use to modify the ROMs? has every ROM it own kitchen? And I wonder where the people always get the new OS versions since I never seen you can download them at Microsoft or so....
@ babbelut
well yes i think cud be so helpful too , but i think it's too hard specially when a lot of roms r being created !!
@ TalhaX
well ya there is no a general kitchen, each cooker has his own kitchens some share it as u can find.
u can build ur own kitchen or use one of these kitchens,,, couple of days ago a saw a kitchen called superjustkitchen i think this may help u.. i don't know about these stuff. and where from they came with these builds but u can search here,,, and if r planning to do this make sure of what u r doing
I've made a wikipage:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=XDA_ROMS
Please feel free to contact me or add some ROMS !!
It's not so wise to make such a page. ROM i for specific device and will not work on other.
Here is a page for Artemis
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Artemis
and you should make your subpage there.
I use xdadevelopers many years and it's sad that everyone works alone on ROMs. There are only a few people owning each model and doing their own kitchen/ROMs. They should work together to make one, best kitchen, and set of quality ROMs.
Now we have for example SHADY's kitchen which is probably very good, but ROMs have many bugs. And there is nobody who can fix them, because Shady don't have time, and others fix their own ROMs. And now we have new build and new kitchen and new ROM and new bugs. Yes, they are the newest, have all bells & whistles, but are useless because of bugs
I'm looking to replace my Touch ROM, which were very good, but author has abandoned it.
it is a subpage of artemis, not?
Hello everyone!
I am new to this so please forgive me if my questions are simple and stupid.
I have read many pages here but i think i didnt see any answer to my questions.
I have the htc hd. since it is new i have the officiall rom and the windows 6.1
i have heard that changing rom or windows from a non-HTC officiall suplier/provider will result to lose my guarantee.
I see you people posting themes for different roms and that makes me wonder. if i install one of those themes on mine, will it work?
also. i found a touchflo theme creator here but it is to be installed at the phone directly. is there a similar program available for PC? i personally think its much easier (to me) to create a theme on your PC and then install it as a .cab file to your mobile!
Thank you

one thing to know is that you need to read wich version of manila you have on your phone and read for wich version of manila the themes are made so you can see if its compatible or not.
hi to everyone
i never try to flash my tp2 with a custom rom but i would create my own rom with the only program that i really use.
is there a program where i can start from an original htc rom and exclude or add some programs?
thank you

Chef central has the kitchens, builds and some of the source files you'll need. Look in the stickies of the forum before you post in there. Good luck and share your rom once you have it running.
