PDA2 ROM straight from I-mate!

They work without being signed in to i-mate!

The ROM's are dated 1/27/05 but the ****ers did not release the phone until a week or two ago.. What was the hold up? ****ers!
My PDA2 has the same rom as they give on their web site.

OMG! if what you say means what i think it does ( ie .. i can upgrade my xda2i without country id error) then my friend... YOU RULE!
if not then .. sadly.. were back to square 1

hey good news.. atleast for me.. i found the way to get past the country id error.... HEHEHEHEHEHE

is the file maupgradeut_noid.exe ...run it twice.. first time it gives error then second time it works perfectly....
i wanna kiss the guy who made this utility... YOU RULE!!!

Hi. Will these work on an O2 XDA IIi (English) ?
I need to upgrade mine to see if I can make the bluetooth work better, its very crackly with the default rom (from the o2 website I am using)

What rom is this? WM5? Dont think so. So why would they release an older rom ???

this is just 2003SE rom .. but an updated one.. i find it more stable and gsm signals are stronger ....
havent tried bluetooth yet but the it seems to have the same version as xda2i rom .. however the quality of BT is often related to the radio rom aswell which in this pda2 rom is of higher build..
go ahead try the rom and share your experiences here

Installed it on my O2 XDA IIi. All went well and it looks like its fine.
Will post any observations later...

yeah its been a whole day that ive ran the new rom.. i havent had a single hang on the device...
though there is one thing that bothers me... this rom and ext rom doesnt have a antivirus that the retail pda2 had when i saw it in the shop...
could it be that our pd2 rom donwloaded from the clubimate site is different than the one on retail models...
may be crazzy can tell us whether his retail pda2 has that antivirus app or not.. if so is it in the ce rom or ext rom (his extended rom posted on xda ftp doesnt have it)

will this work on a sx66?

It still gives me Update utility error...cam u help

I'll try it today and see how it goes.
Has anyone tried this and then successfully gone back to the o2 rom?

Installed, working fine so far.
Looks to have improved the Auto camera setting as well, it actually adjusts now and doesn't look dark in all conditions!

yeah the first time the utility gets you into bootloader mode and gives the error ... the second time (without disconnecting the device) running the utility is succesful...
what you have to do before that is... run the pda2 rom intact then look for the *.nbf files in the temp folder.. copy everything in that folder to another folder of your liking.. copy the mdaupgrade_no id utility to that same folder and run twice from there

All still working fine, except for a slight issue with viewing pictures.
I click on a jpg image, "Album" appears at the top of the screen as though it's just taking a short while to run, then soft resets.
Anyone else?

Karmba_a HELP .. problem with bluetooth in most of your roms

Hi everyone..
These days, when it is rare to find roms with less bugs in.
I believe that the best roms that ever came are ( KARMBA ) roms.
I tried most of karmba roms- from 5 to 7.1 - & planed to stick with it till my trinity suffers
BUT now we have a problem with SENDING A BIG file - like 2 or 3 MB - by Bluetooth , the device hangs up & you have to soft reset sometimes
It is OK in receiving
I tried several programs like Resco Explorer , Dr.Yar and other Bluetooth programs some of them hangs and some stops working
So can you Mr Karmba or anyone help to solve this problem?

yes same problem with tom codon-black&blue.
didn't experience it thu with bepe 0.76.
any idea people what's wrong?

ALL wm6 roms have this bug

have you tried by constantly awakening your device by touching the screen, or scroll buttons? Maybe it's a power problem, after some time it just turn of itself and goes to some power management mode

I tried that but it didn't help.

downgraded from karamba 7.1 to bepe 0.76 and bluetooth big files transfers is working gr8 again!
before jumping to conclusions i hope if someone else did the same and tell us if it works with him/her too.

So, you think the problem is with the RADIO...
because now I am using 1.50.xx.x

maybe it's the WM6 built
seems all is having pbs with bluetooth.
but guys, does anyone have BT working as it should be? what's ur radio and rom??

I don't know if this helps but I am using AX3L's Lite ROM and I am sending big files (30-50 MB, especially music, videos, movies, etc.) and is all working ok!
Rest of bluetooth activity is also ok. So maybe it is a problem with your ROMs?

people who say it's working all use 1.46.00.11 ...
i'll try and keep u posted ...

i tried the 1.46.00.11 radio ...
and guess what ... no change at all ...
i guess it's the rom then ...

from pc to ppc without problem,
but from ppc to other mobile or pc

still nothing
any breakthroughs ... bluetooth wise?
it still cant send filez > 2mb ???

Yesterday I've sent a 173MB file via bluetooth and several media files of approx. 50MB each through bluetooth to a notebook, a SE phone and a Polaris.

I really like the finixnover 3.0.2 ... but cant get the bluetooth to work with it ... dunno why !!
btw which program do u use for the transfer ...
i tried transfering byt the file explorer .. it worked .. unfortunately it didn't have progress bar
by resco explorer ... didn't!!
i wanted resco because of the progress bar
I guess i'll give AXel a try ... any other advices???

Hi everyone...
Its a tinny help about roms radios ..
So now Im use the Diamond Projects V3.3 WWE, perfect, but before install this rom I used Duttys V2.2, and in this version and the new one of Diamond Projects, I had some erros I guess..
Cause, before I used those rom's my Wi-Fi work perfect, find all acess points for internet no problem. In this two versions, I saw the same bug I guess.
When you install those rom's after you align the screen, The device find your NETWORK like (COUNTRY: BRASIL / COMPANY: TIM) and ask if you want apply this configs... So the first time I had apply, perfect, the first time my Wi-fi find one acess point security.... But don't find the Wi-Fi I wanted, its Wi-Fi of my job. Before this two rom's I always connect in wireless here in my job, so after those rom's never more I found.
Oh, and I had try to don't accept those changes, but don't work too.. I can't find my Job Wireless? What's happen guy's? please help me...

need wlan driver for wlan to work on my device. anyone has it?

just bought a C730. it didnt have wlan on its connection menu. thought flashing it would fix and bring it back.
1. tried both the full and customized cavalier 1st WM6.1 Rom but still no wlan menu. 2. tried the 3volution series and finally wlan showed up. but when i tried activating it, it wouldnt start and said the wlan was not loaded.
anyone can please help me please....

The 3vo ROM works. WLAN works. The 0.99 version with the older sys is very stable and everything seems to work well. Try that one.

thanks ookba. that's what's now loaded on my dopod c730. yup the wifi menu is there but under connections status on wlan settings, status says DRIVER IN NOT LOADED :-(
I've already tried about 5 roms and its only this 3VO .99 version showed the WLAN menu.
The latest 3VO version likewise had the wifi menu but unfortunately I couldnt locate the settings for the Jogger.
Can this be a hardware problem? I'm still hoping its just a software glitch

Im on the same issue with my cavalier :s, I gues is a hardware problem because, I tried upgrading to WME 6.1 and WME 6.5 and same thing "driver unloaded".
Im working with the poor GPRS connection from my provider :s

Problem kaiser with android no network

HI
i have kaiser 130
I tried few diffrent android version but with evry version phone cant connect to network sometimes he connects for few minutes but not longer. With windows everything ok
I tried:
Incubus26Jc's Super Eclair Lite 2.1
Warm Donut RLS 5 with Kaiser updates integrated including battery
Im using
HardSpl 3.34
radio 1.70.19.09 (tried 1.70.18.02)
Protocol 25.83.40.02h
Maybe someone had same problem and can help me?

and i was using esclair not donut. (dum) Maybe in this is problem....

No because in guide:"How to replace Windows Mobile with Android (Guide)" (sorry i cant paste link because im new user) is recommended 1.70.x and better here it is "#2 Does your Kaiser have a relatively new radio rom? If not then get one. Recommended to have 1.70.xx.xx and up. "
if it is radio fault so why on winMO with same radio working?
And one more thing kaiser with android finds not 02 but BTCellnet (in the beginning O2 was BTCellnet )

The same radio suggestion was made to me several days ago while trying to get audio working in android (via HaRET). Upping to 1.70.xx didn't fix my issues, but 1.65.xx did.
If you are able to test it in WM, you must still have WM installed. Are you booting android with HaRET?

Yes, I know the sticky thread to which you have now twice referred. I am asking how you know wifi works in WM if you have replaced WM with android as the guide leads you to do.
There is no danger it trying an older radio regardless of what the guide suggests. I would respectfully suggest that you give 1.65.xx a shot, despite what the guide says. If the older one works, then you have solved your problem. If it doesn't work, you can flash 1.70.xx back on and try something else.
I am running Incubus's Super Eclair on my device and wifi works flawlessly. I am also able to do BT connections and hear audio. None of these worked when I tried 1.70.xx, so I use 1.65.21.18 instead.

Roger that. My recommendation still stands, however.
Trying the alternate radio will take you less than 5 min total including d/l time. You can find it linked in post #3 of this thread: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182.
You could also try 1.71.09.01, which I see was posted several days ago.

i have a similar problem. Cannot connect to the internet with 2g/3g, but wifi works. The latest rom did not solve my problem. Maybe i'll try older ones...

Maybe I should inform you that I already have edited my APN-Settings. And I really think they should be ok. On WM6.1 these settings are working.
And I like to mention that I'm booting from SD.

Same problem with my phone. I have installed Froyo as explained in another post on my Kaiser TyTNII and everything works perfect except the phone network. I tried already around 5 diferent radios, with NO results.
Do anybody think this issue may come from the kernel instead ?

I,m started MODEM application,tapped Connect-and looks like APN now working!

Let's see how long it works for you. I have the same setup as orcatrainer but mine works off and on some times. I must add, I have Simple Mobile. They are on the T-mobile network therefore, I cannot access 3G on my tilt. Playing with the 2G setting usually cause my phone to connect to APN until I turn the phone off. Then I have to struggle to get it to work again. I just put my sims back into my Blackjack 2 to access mobile data until this issue is fixed.

Hi there, I don't understand well what you did on your phone which made it work. Under which section you can find "modem" application ?
