Hey there guys, I was just wondering if there is a app to turn the Artemis into a bluetooth gps? Reason for this is ive got a second windows mobile phone with a 400mhz cpu and on the Artemis Garmin just sucks. Thank you.

I am using an old fortuna clipon bluetooth GPS.
i tested out iGO 2006 the other day, that has the option to run in QVGA but it ran an 1/8th the speed of vga, i was very supprised it behaved in this way

I need some help to start Tomtom Mobile 5 in qtek 8010, Tomtom is installed and work ok, the gps antenna is connected to the smartphone and ok, but when i start tomtom keep coming this message "no gps device".

i.TrekM5+ Bluetooth GPS
I used the i.TrekM5+ Bluetooth GPS without a Problem in Live Search and Google Maps. Although the Live Search interface was much better.
Instructions on how to setup the device were included with the GPS Receiver manual, but consist on only pairing the devices and selecting the port that will be used for communication.
Then you go into the application and specify which COM port will be used.
I was using ATT 8525 (HTC) with Windows Mobile 5. I have just upgraded my rom to Windows Mobile 6 and haven't tried it out again.
I was looking for any way to bring WM6 to its full capacity, as ATT seem to have stripped a lot out of the OS.
Any suggestions?

You need to buy a reciever for gps on the 8525 then go in the registry and enable the gps option.

Yes, I have used TomTom6, Google maps mobile, Vito Active Trace.
TomTom is a bit clunky as it ist's designed for a touch screen. GMM works really well and is free, but tomtom gives voice commands.

i just installed gps garmin xt and it say to connect to gps reciver why is doing that i domnt have a recivie and i dont know any clue how i use the gps just im espirementing so any one can help me guys i got experia x1

I have Garmin installed on mine and it work fine. It should detect the GPS receiver once program is loaded. If not then check Tools>Settings>System>Remote GPS and see if Com4: Com4: is displayed.
I use Garmin too..and i have not figured out what makes it work.
Fact is, that when i install it and run it for the first few times, it does not work but then it starts working..crazy stuff going on and i am still trying to figure out what triggers it

Are you trying this at home? GPS usually doesn't work in buildings. I use iGo8 and have no problem at all with it but outside or in a car. Try going out and the use it- it should work...just wait some time to get connected with a satellite and before doing that download the positions of the satellites with quickGPS. In that way the whole process is faster
