I need a little help...

Hi guys, i will be needing some assistance to understand what is happening with my jasjar.
I download a tomal´s rom (tml wm65_90_23004_64mb)), followed the steps and got stucked on bootloader. I then used Uni exit bootloader. It worked, but now my jasjar only works if I don´t put any sim-card. Cause if I put one, it gets stuck again
Any ideas? i noticed in the device info that extrom is not there.

Something is not right here. Like i tried to reflash it again, and same happens it works without the simcard but not with him
its very odd actually... like i managed to do it like once with simcard on but after that its the same... it got stuck again

And what happens if you try with another sim?
or testing your sim into another device

well try to upgrade your radio rom if gsm is not working (if sim is not recognized). flash with another rom if device gets stuck

well extrom is there but it is locked... you need to unlock to see it....

Hi Rajiv, thanks for answering. Well my simcards work properly as i have tested them in other devices.
I flashed the Universal with an original wm5 rom now and it works well. So any ideas on what happened?
I flashed with Tomal wm65 rom and it only works without any simcard, otherwise it gets stucked in that first imate image. If i remove the simcard it works fine. (The rom is very cool by the way).
So what is the problem here? maybe my jasjar isn´t CID unlocled? or HSPL?

had this issue myself and that was the fix. my radio was the original factory one. not sure what yours is though.

So this is what comes up when i try to upgrade a new rom

Until that point on the image you showed youre going ok, then clicking on update...what happens?

Well it starts the update normally, everything goes well. But its the same as before, it will only work properly without a simcard on

Hi,
You need to upgrade your Radio ROM.
The one you have probably is not not compatible with WM6 and thats why your device hangs after installing WM6 with a SIM inserted.
The SIM upgrade is not included in the firmware upgrades you will find here. Look at the wiki for separate SIM upgrade files.

Problem solved :=) thanks everyone! I updated the radio rom to version 1.18 and it worked ehehe

Now another little problem
After installing tomal's 6.5 rom and updating the radio rom to 1.18, now i can´t instal programs like opera mini. Any ideas why? or the solution?

I have the same ROM and radio and I can install any app I want
Have you tried a hard reset?

Opera Mini is a Java application. You need to install a Java Virtual Machine to be able to install and run Opera Mini.

SIM-Unlocking ACER S200

Hi,
I just bought an Acer S200 that seems to be very good. It's locked on SFR network and I want to sim-unlock it. As this PDA is really recent, no way seems to be ok to do this. Is there anyone who can help me ?

Guys the acer s200 comes unlock from the factory, it hasnt been subsidized by any carrier so theres is no way to get a carrier lock acer s200.

If that was true I would clime into the monitor and hug you.

As a matter of fact, I've got the same message of "SFR SIM LOCK" as you IllicitTweakin.
I just receive today my unlock code but the screen "SIM LOCK" does not allow any keyboarding (keyboard seems to be inactive, only "Cancel" is allowed) !
No solution at the moment...

I found a solution, with a little mystery ... :
I first installed the last ROM ACER 2.003.00 FR (uploadable on Acer'site) and my SIM wasn't yet usable.
I launch the SIMLOCK program in the folder \programfiles\SIMLOCK, nothing happened. I try to reboot the smartphone, the SIM card was ok !
Hope this experience could help !

I confirm that the sim unlock of the ACER-S200 was made with 3 steps :
1-update with the official ACER ROM (2.003.00FR in my case)
2-execute the file \Program files\SIMLOCK\SIMLOCK.EXE
3-reboot to validate : it's ok !
I did it again this morning for a second ACER and it works fine.

wel thanks u so much! i id it like u said, network barrs and operator name came for 10 second, then the message (no service came)
is there anything else sould i do? also when i execute the simlock.exe in programe files, nothing happen!!!

first i tryed with EUU_Acer_S200_2.003.00_FR_02.03.00_2.003.01-20091109, then the software said that my phone is sfr, then i tryed with EUU_Acer_S200_2.003.01_FR_SFR_02.03.00_2.003.01-20091109, upgrade is done sucsesfully, i fo to programefiles/SIMLOCK_SFR.exe, then nothing happen!! how to execute it???

You cannot upgrade your ROM with ACER's ROM because your phone is locked on SFR ROM by a register key : to avoid this, first download a freeware as "PHM regedit" and install it on your phone. Then, go to HKLM/ControlPanel/ACER/SystemInfo/Software and modify the key "Language" from FR_SFR to FR and close the software.
You can now use your activesync to launch the ACER ROM 2.003.00 and it will be ok.
Let's have a try, I think Acer's ROM is better as SFR's ROM (my opinion only ! ).

Hi gigilev,
yes that's why i got this error, so what i could do , i upgrade with sfr rom like i said, now the phone is unlocked, but every time i power off then power on the phone, the phone is locked again, all i have to do is to execute silock_sfr.exe from programefiles/simlock, and it's unlocked again.
in your case, is it the same thing?

I confirm I haven't got your problem. I just made a try and after a reboot, my SIM is still ok. I think you should make the last steps I gave you to install the original ACER's ROM and finally use the \Program files\SIMLOCK\SIMLOCK.EXE.

will downgrade damage the phone?

first hard reset your device, if it still does not help make sure the device go to bootloader mode and reflash !
you'd better explain more details about the device, such as SPL versions and other

I can make a hard reset because when I start it, I don't have time to make this operation, he restart immediately....And he shows me only the IPL and SPL - IPL: 1.12.0001 and the SPL 1.11.com...Thank you very much for help; I hope to have a solution

It seems error notification because the incorrect RUU version to upgrade your device, and perhaps also because the devices are still CID locked !!

But how to unlocked the CID, my activesync didn't find the phone,I'm in bootloader he shows me he is connected at usb, but when I want to start "start_uspl" he didn't start, shows a dos windows but close immediately. Thank you for help!

I've tried many Cooked Rom but all that rom's when I try to install my device give error 300, I try also a original OS found but i can't open. I see with MTTY the device CID is locked....I don't know what to do with my phone....I can't understant what happend with my phone....Thank you for help!

Hmm, my CID it's unlocked, but last time when I checked my CID was locked, probably I have not checked well

That was the first choice, in fact I have it installed but do not put it completely in Spanish, Spanglish hehehehe ... not being in native Spanish I have problems with google now recognizes only a few things.

is possible to put a firmware to bring Spanish language?.
My phone is rooted, maybe you can get directly the language folder of another version of 975 that has english and put it in mine.

Mate, in your case, its pretty easy...
Just update via LGSoftware, choice your country and language, customer support, recovery mode, LGE975 and follow the instruction on your screen...

I dont know what code... The phone tell me a sim card pin... OK, But the next screen... only show the clock with the sound every secod. "clic" clic" clic" and a line to write a code for storage unlock.
I tested with: 1234, 0000, etc... but nothing happens

You might be stuck in the setup wizard.
I've never heard about any code to mount or read/write a storage partition, I think you got a kind of problem that you shouldnt have.
Did you tried to install again?

Goddam but Virgin fones are a pissoff.
Should I return this phone?

I learnt the same lesson. It's sad that carriers can restrict what we do with our phones here in north America while if you buy this same phone anywhere else in the world, it's rootable.
I've had mine a few months now and still no way of rooting.

ok, so the idea is that I flash the combination file, go in to dev. settings and set OEM unlock, then reflash the phone with normal firmware, and carry on with rooting as normal? will this allow me to install twrp?

no , when you enabled dev settings, enable OEM unlock , then reboot to bootloader and unlock it , then u can root with magisk by patching the AP of the firmware you need

Ok, I'm sure you're going to think I'm a retard, but I wanna be sure I understand correctly.
So i:
1)flash combination file
2) Boot phone up
3) enable developer settings
4) enter developer settings, and enable OEM unlock.
5) Ok, here is where I'm a little unsure of what you mean:
"Reboot to bootloader and unlock it"
6) root with magisk.
The number 5 slot (above) is what I am having trouble with....
And then I use my pc to root the AP of the proper firmware before I flash it with Odin on to the phone?
Wait..I'm getting that part wrong too, I think.... shoot

And will TWRP be possible afterwards?
Excuse my asking about what I'm sure is obvious....
I have rooted and enjoyed the results on several LG phones and my old tab4, and I would enjoy the same freedom with this phone, as I quite like it.

when you enabled OEM unlock , plug the phone to the computer, then restart the phone and directly press and hold volume up and down until you see a blue screen

what about a pit file? do we need one?
apparently im just lost i ended up getting an error that said
"please get the approval to use factory binaries (pit)"

what about a pit file? do we need one?
apparently im just lost i ended up getting an error that said
"please get the approval to use factory binaries (pit)"
how would i get past

Wow.. I got the same error, EXCEPT instead of (pit) I have (abl).
I mucked around for a bit with a cracked z3x for a bit, but it was an older version, and didnt have A705W listed.
I'm still game to try, but thought I'd see if somebody here had any advice....
Please help, if anyone can.

I am kinda in the same position as you...
I've been wanting to root for a while but this oem unlock thing with my Virgin a705w is annoying
I don't really want to risk bricking my phone or whatever so I was hoping someone could do it first.
I found this website with pit files if they're any use: full-repair-firmware .com/p/galaxy-a70-sm-a705xx.html
(remove the space before the .com; I can't post links on xda)
pls let me know if you can get it working

I've only rooted my LG phones previously..
Samsung has a few more twists it seems!
I thought it might be worth asking you if you had any info on that error I mentioned below, the "please get approval to use factory binaries (abl) or (pit)" problem?
I've seen some stuff, applicable to the error ending in (pit), but have not seen anything referring to the (abl) version of the error, which is what I am experiencing....
Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated....and by more than just me, I'm sure!

did you tried generating pit with Z3x ?

If your A705W isn't listed , try A705FN if it's there, i dont have the canadian variant so i can't help like i would want to

you need this exact firmware A705WVLU2ASK1 , it can be found on GSM2FILE easily or others websites
