Touchflo pc emulator?

Hi all, does anybody know if there is an emulator that i can use on my pc for working on cube design before i transfer to my phone, HTC Niki? Sure this has probably been covered before but i'm new to this and can't find a thread so maybe it hasn't?
The closest you'll get is running the Windows Mobile device emulator, and and putting your cube design on that... The emulators are part of the WM5/WM6 SDK, and are quite large... http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...F2-F524-4EC5-9155-717CBE5D25ED&displaylang=en
Thanks l3v5y that's really helpful will give it a go

wm development

Hi All,
Very new to this windows mobile development, have downloaded the device manager/emulator from microsoft. and now i want to be able to emulate my htc leo? what is the proper way to do this? thanks
you can't emulate a device ,you can only emulate the os. If you want to develop for windows mobile then buy Visual Studio 2008 Pro or up. Hope this helps

Developing for two?

Hi all,
I am thinking about creating an app that I want to use on both Andriod and Windows Mobile.
What would be the best way of going about this? Using Java for both apps (limiting what I can do on the WM device) or going down the C# root with MonoDroid to help me out?
Cheers
Java is good because it can go corss-platform, just make sure the functions you use are safe on both platforms! I don't really know much about Android, so I don't know what MonoDroid is, but I wouldn't really see C# as a good cross-platform language...
Just my 2 cents.

[Q] WM 6.5 on Desire HD

Hi, is it posible to install WM 6.5 onto the HTC Desire HD?
I mean not as a double system, but instead of Android...
My company does not support either Android or WM 7 (email exchange software and communicator software which I must have) so I pretty much must get the HTC HD2 unless I could tweek the Desire HD to work with WM 6.5 until we get Android support in the company. The Desire HD has a better camera and screed so I would prefer to get it instead of the old HD2...
Any thoughts?

windows mobile is not open source like android, and thus cannot be adapted to non windows mobile handests without considerable work, as yet not one developer anywhere has expressed any intrest in a project like this and on a side note, as you do not own a licence for windows mobile (that you would get with a wm phone) a project like this could be seen as piracy
If your company requires you to check email on the move then surely it's their responsibility to provide you with a suitable phone to do so?
That's how it works at most places I've worked. Where I work now people who need to check work emails remotely get a Blackberry, but most still have their own personal phone too.
What exactly are you unable to do on the DHD that requires WM6.5???

even me ....
It's not such a crazy request... I've got certain specialist software on WM6 which the developer isn't releasing on Android or any other platform.

As in they can't justify the cost of making a new version.

Hi,
thank you for your quick reply. My company has an exchange email software which connects to the main server giving the phone a "blackberry" function. It is not pop3 and we do not have a webmail due to security reasons (or possibly lack of enough resources to maintain it) The software is supported either on WM phones or Iphones. Symbian or Android are not supported. As I basically can chose any phone available from Vodafone, I chose the DHD (yes, I could also get a blackberry but I do not like them) but since the "switch" is not possible I will probably just pick the HD2
Thank you all for your fast replies
Regarding the WM licence. Yes, you are right and I was actually not thinking about it at all! Thanks for the reminder... Do you think it would be possible to get a WM7 phone such as the HTC Mozart or Trophy and install WM6.5 on it? Meaning, I am paying for WM but am installing an older version onto it???
I will post the question onto the proper forum page...
Is your company giving support for iPhone? Might as well remove the support of iPhone too.

Not...
The DHD is an android phone and not a windows phone, simple as, get a HTC HD2, that runs Win Mobile 6.5 and has a pretty good spec...
No, Windows Mobile will not run on the Desire HD.
Further, the Exchange functions will enable your employer to remotely wipe your phone, including all personal files and contacts you have, at their whim (which will be if you leave the company). Never, ever connect your personal devices to your company network, as most policies for that connection will state that they can inspect and monitor any communications or data on that device. Not saying you're hiding anything, just that your personal comms could be monitored by your employer.
Either have them purchase a Blackberry / WM phone for you, or get hold of one from eBay and use that.

[Q] Do HTC Windows Mobile 6.5 emulator images exist?

I've Given up searching, i've been at it for about a week. So now i'm gonna ask. Does anyone know where i can find a HTC Windows mobile 6.5 emulator image that contains Sense 2.5? Coz i can't find one and it would make developing my current project so much easier.
Thoughts, links, etc all very appreciated
I would like to get this kind of image too to experiment a bit and continue developing my idea of WM emulation on Android, no matter how stupid that might sound
Wm emulator for Android'd also like to me
If the project goes ahead I can do tester
greetings
