Home Screen Snapshots

I want to see what other peoples home screens look like, how do I take a screenshot of mine? Is there an application for that somewhere. I am working on compiling information for my website so I can easily get to it all. If people can point me to the best reference areas I would appreciate it.

I'd love to see everyons home screens as well.. I have attached a program that takes them for all the people out there not knowing how to do it

This is mine most of the time.
EDIT: I just noticed that I took these back in December, and I still have the same setup. Must be working good for me, I usually change it VERY often.

i would like to know that too. also, could you please list the used apps on your today screen

No problem, I have Spb PocketPlus installed with the bare minimum components for the today screen plug-in. Then on my first "Home" Page I have unlocked HTC Home (you have to do this to place it on a tabbed page of Spb) then under it is the meters that come with PocketPlus. Then on the next page I have rlToday with a skin I made and will attach to this post for any that would like to use it. Then the next tab is SBSH PocketWeather 2.0.5 that I slightly modified from the PhatPhinger skin you can find one there site. Then the next page is just a app launcher page that zips me to any of the apps that I use a lot. I have sense added a 5th page that has Windows Live and Windows Live Search plug-ins on it. The good thing is that even with all this loaded and running CRC's v12r6 6.1 ROM, I still have 42.58M Storage and 22.46M Program mem left. And I have a lot of other stuff installed as well.

There is a CAB file on this forum somewhere that is HTC Home Customizer that lets you unlock it.

to change the wallpaper to ur own.
copy the file 4FC03967_manila from ur windows folder after installing and put anything in place of it.the usual 512 X 512 size image,
WORKS ON SMABERG TOUCH X ROMS.

HAVENT TESTED ON VALKYRIE
This wont work on TOUCH IT 10.4.HE USES THE TOPAZ FILES AND I DONT HAVE THE TIME RIGHT NOW TO MAKE A TOPAZ VERSION.I HAVE EXAMS RIGHT NOW.

Yeah, it's nice. Are you going to increase resolution on the next one? Being able to use 800x800 would be nice, so it could fit in landscape as well.
Or perhaps another picture in landscape, like you did with the panoramic?

coz i replaced the original 4FC03967_manila with a picture that i removed the .jpg at the end to become a normal file but it wont work..

oh no..i mean u have to editit the way we edit manila files.using manila editr or m9editor.see angelusz's tutorial
search for 'skinning manila the compendum' and u will find a nice tute there.its by member angelusz

umn..tf3d doesnt let us put images of res more than five one two by five one two..but i can write a small lua script to change the size of image when in landscapet o fit.plus another image in landscape is no problem at all!!!

I have installed the Rotastrain Programs wallpaper simple.cab and it works great! Thanks Rotastrain.
(I can see the ocean image in the TF3d start menu).
However if I try to make the 4FC03967_manila on my own with Manila editor and I replace the installed manila file with my created version and I select overwrite, the start menu displays a white background after soft reset.
I have attached the manila file here, it looks goodin Manila editor preview, resolution is 512x512 and I have tried all 3 header options with all the same result.
What am I doing wrong?

Could you make it so it moves with your take control slider please this would make it perfect for me.
also noticed a few bugs such as when i go from landscape to portrait the background of my slider is there. also i can see the icon when i use your slide to unlock it disappears when i poke it though. Other than that its great!

I don't know what I may be doing wrong but I have tried to install both your retractable slider . . slide to unlock . . and your Hyper Fluid on my (Sprint) HTC Touch Pro and all they do is gray out my screen and eliminate my slide all together . . any thoughts?

WM 6.5 app to show where the screen is tapped?

I myself am not a programmer, but I do have a good idea for anyone that has some free time.
If someone could make an app that when the touch screen is tapped/pressed it makes a ripple or dot or some sort of signal of where the screen is tapped.
I've seen this in Microsoft PowerPoint slide shows...
Whenever i attempt to press a button and i am not hitting it i would like to know where i am actually pressing so i can adjust.
If this already exists please point me in the right direction.

I wanna know where im tapping the screen, ive now also seen screen shots where people have an arrow cursor, that would also be pretty handy if anyone knows how to get that

So if when u click on the screen it takes a screenshot and then does a ripple on that image...
I know Twolf has done ripples in flash, so if flash were an acceptable solution, that would be a method. Have to take more screenshots and load em in to keep it updated..

So i don't know how this app exits, but if it could output the coordinates to the registry or a return argument i could at least click on the today screen with them in Mortscript.
I assume BBonz is already half done with the app anyways...

I've been trying to figure out if this is possible from a coding perspective... It seems that (at least with the .net compact framework) that there's no way to hook screen taps. A program like this would actually have to be a driver for the touch panel. The most similar thing anyone has done is TouchResponse. Unfortunately, the author hasn't been online since November...so I can't ask for details on how it was done.
If anyone can help figure out how to create a program, service or driver that can globally hook screen taps and return coordinates...I can probably write this.

You can hook all touch events via the PenTrac.dll approach. Have a look at Scilors Multitouch DLL thread. There I explained the approach and posted the sourcecode...

hm, but this is only an approach for the HD2's touch.dll. Not for all Win 6.5 smartphones...

HD2 is good enough for me

HP TouchSmart-like cursor
Has anyone see/used an HP TouchSmart computer? the touchscreen cursor (a white cursor dot appears when the screen is touched) and a ripple appears when a button is clicked... that is exactly what I'm hoping to find for windows mobile. Any ideas anyone?

We know that LCD of HD1 is still not friendly with android , also you know that some body , thanks to him , tries to fix the high jumps when you scroll between the pages
To celebrate The screen , There is one way , only removes the parameter that person put them to fix the LCD which is this , "msmts_calib=0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77" and celebrate will run , but its very bad not useful
another way that I found which is better, we know ubuntu now runs over HD , celebration is very will , after doning the celebration , ubuntu celebration gives you the axis then write them in a paper fastly or if you are slowly every time before boothing ubuntu remove previous celebration file , redo celebration , and write the missing axis
ok now put them in msmts_calib and see the result , write axis of your fingers here ,
and after we see over 12 or 13 results from you
I will generate a gerneral one as like that person who tries to fix up the msmts_calib by giving a general one which is 0x395.0x3c9.0x79.0x77

I just try the new setting, it's off (not as good as the original).
The original is quite good in terms of the accuracy (X,Y), the problem is the location jumps very quickly for 2 points (sometimes start out of the screen, and the 1st-wrong point is always on the left) when there is only 1 press, i wonder what is the issue because in WM is fine. Can it really be fixed just by command tweaks, or is it compatibility issues between screen and driver?
try out 'pointer location' under 'dev tools' in android

me too
it is with this android 2.1c distro and it strangely going more over the time of use.
To the left....
if you touch it in the left side sometimes it jumps the page not fire the widget...
I ve tried the new proposal for the x and y alignment but the calibration is then more of.
I also tried the dev tools pin point and it shows various from just a mil of on instant touch to up too 7-10 mils measured on the screen.
Is there a way to calibrate the screen without a imputing the values?

deal with LCD as something sensitive , Dont push too much
and if you want to run a program , press on icon with an theta =45 degree
I know its complicated to do that , but by the time you will feel it better

i tried your values, but with finger you see the result (made via "paint" and only make points via my small finger)
as you can see. this "jumping to left" is total painfully if i want to write an email or sms
any idea what this problem can be (not happen on diamond)
