Seriously need help with my SPV M5000 upgrading issue. Massive Problem!! Please Help!

Hello, i upgraded my spv m5000 via orange site. during the upgrade the setup gave me an error and went off. and now my screen of the spv m5000 is stuck on the installation screen. i.e. saying Serial on top of the screen and V1.00 at the buttom. ive tryed resetting the phone but nothing happens.
and now my battery is dead and it only charges a bit and the same screen comes up
Ive contacted orange about a month ago now and they dont know what to do as they dont understand the issue also took to the shop no help recieved.
please tell me what i have to do to get my phone up and running.

try racharge you batery using external charger... than put your device to boot loader mode (serial on top & bootloader version bottom) than try to flash again

yes its already on boot loader mode and i am unable to go off it. also i am unable to charge the battery with the external adapter.
Is there any software that can be used to flash without using active sync cause it has developed its own usb connection.
its always saying serial on top and V1.00 at the buttom

i have retryed my upgrade software but as i do not have active sync connection i am unable to install via software. please let me know which software you are taking about.

You dont need active sync for upgrading your ROM. When the device is in bootloader (and yours obviously is ;-), connect it to a pc through the usb cable and run the upgrade utility from the orange site again. Sometimes it takes two or three times.

Imate Kjam Will not boot

Hi all i am new to all this i tried to load a newer rom on my Imate it had an error and froze did a reset and now it only comes to the 3 colour boot screen i have tried a hard reset but no luck and have downloaded the offical rom again i can get into the bootloader screen by pressing camera button and on and connect with the usb the thing is how do I load the rom the Program"RUU program" says u must have a active sync connection and it will not work in the bootloader it says usb in the left conner but active sync will not work is there any other program that doesnt use active sync to load the rom to my phone i have been reading the forum and seen similar problems all with the reply load wizardlove cant find the it all the links are broken or doesnt excest I need to get my phone running asap and if i send it in it will only be returned inn 6weeks they say I am from south africa and the guys here can be a lot of help coz the know nothing so if anybody can help me please it would be great thanks

Which is your device a G3 or G4 ? post the IPL/SPL...? of the phone to determine the version. As far as it gets to bootloaders (tricolor screen) you are safe,its just a bad flash,nothing to worry,you'll soon have it working fine.
Which rom were you trying to upgrade to ? and what exactly were you doing.First, is your phone SIM/CID unlocked,if you were trying to upgrade to a latest wm6 rom,its essential to have the phone CID unlocked
Secondly,while in bootloaders, Activesync doesn't work,you got to have a working OS on the phone to sync with activesync,but when in bootloaders and usb appears in the bottom of the screen,you can flash the rom.

K Jam hangs at blue screen
Hi to all,
I have a K jam more then 1 years old. Now It is giving some probem. There is no display but only light in the screen but I make call and recieve calls!.
First time when problem arised. I pressed 3 battons(2 left side and 1 up side)the screen will became perfect and when I remove the battery & reinserted, the problem arised again. When I asked some 2 to 3 mobile service mens, thay told that there is a problem with OS (By reinstalling the OS it will be repaired). I think probem is with the strip connect motherboard to the LCD, that could be cuted but service mens told no, it is problem with OS.
Where I can get the OS, WM5 is preinstalled in it.
Still it did not open the mobile. Please help me

I feel your Pain! im in the same boat the three colour screen! all my Imate only gives
me IPL 2.16.0001 an SPL 2.16.0001 not even an OS

i downloaded wm6 from here and i followed some step of senior member of these site.now i have a problem.when i upgraded my mobile restart after booting and again restart so i am in serious problem.what can i do now.any help.
my imate k-jam ipl 1.01 and spl is 1.06

Diamond disconnects during HardSPL update

Hi!
I just got myself a Diamond and im trying to upgrade it. I've read the following tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211 but the Upgrading to HardSPL doesnt work for me.
When RUU starts updating, the screen on my phonescreen turns black (as it should do) but at the same time it disconnects from the computer and the program. and the phone freezes and i have to take out the battery and reset it. I've tried to repeat it many times, i also changed the power settings and everything.
I have ROM version: 1.93.413.3 SVE and Radio: 1.00.25.05 and Iam trying to update to SwiftBL

After your screen turns black, don't flash the SPL yet.
Wait a while till you pc detects the "new" device and installs drivers for it.
If you have still troubles, PM me and we can do it together ...

erm im on vodafone wiv the vodafone rom thing and i tried puttin a different rom on but it does'nt move past 0%
so i tried that olinex thing and thats not helpd either

I have the same problem as stated above..
Screen turns black..
Phone gets disconnected from pc..
Windows is found a new hardware device and is asking for a hardware install..
Hardware Install Fails and phone remains disconnected with a black screen..
WHAT TO DO NOW..?????
I'm afraid of disconnecting my phone, because of the chance ending up with a brick.
Can someone please help me out..???

It happened to me before. For me it was due to the advanced battery setting.
I resolved it by unchecking "turn off device if not used for.." on both battery and external power. Hope this helps.

Nope this does not help..
My phone goes black and dissconnects from the pc and does not reconnect..
Get a connection error from the hardspl update program and have to remove battery to restart phone

I've found a solution to my problem.
First of all i unchecked all the battery saving options, and then i went to Settings--> USB to PC--> and uncheck the "Enable advanced network functionality" box, after this the upgrade worked.
Hope this works for you guys 2

Not working for me here . Htc Diamond from H3G ITA .
I can't get past the black screen . Activesync disconnects and never connects again ... I tried the 2 settings changes proposed here ; I tried waiting almost 10 minutes on the black screen ....
Any other ITA H3G user with the same problem (maybe solved....) or any other user that got away with this huge problem ??

I put it in the root and executed it .... screen went black ... activesync lost connection ....................... after 20 minutes still black screen and nothing happened .
Fortunatly unplug battery and restart got me the pda back working
PS. If I enter the multicolor screen I see as SPL 1.37.0.0 and above it says DIAM100 ..... if any of this info could help to get me more help

I believe that is what will happen. I used this method to install 1.40.
After you get the black screen just follow instructions from step 2 in here:

Ignore the activesync turning green part.
The small words in the red box is easy to miss out.

had a similar problem...upgrading to the latest version of .net CF did the trick for me....u might want to check that out (nothing to lose in having an updated version anyway)

Tnx a lot catpuke ... I tried to run the update anyway even with no sync with pc .... it stayed to 0% for a little bit and then jumped to 100% .... now in tricolor shows 1.30 Olinex !
Will move on and try to update radio now !

O2 atom life upgrade help needed i read everything to this point!

Hey guys.
Im trying to upgrade my O2 Atom life from WM 5 to the latest O2 official 6.5 WM ROM.
When i tried updating normally by connecting my phone to computer and running the rom setup... my upgrade process gets stuck at Stage 4 with 0%.
If i put my phone in bootloader screen and then upgrade, i get Customer and model ID error.
After reading this forum I tried changing Pass.32 file properties from WWE to CHT and still i get the same customer and model ID error.
I even tried uploading those two files al1.dio and ext rom to a mini sd and upgrade through bootloader that doesn't seem to work either.
Can someone please guide me what else can be done step by step.

Ps - im using latest Windows Device center with windows vista.

hey sorry. yeh i have read that page... nothing helps me there... ok so i got my phone upgraded somehow to the latest 6.5.... but i'm facing same problem.. whenever phone turns off or restarts it goes straight to DSUU white screen.. and the only way to come out of it is by ressetting the phone to factory by pressing record + power button n pressing the hole.... to restart.
not sure whats wrong with it.

Have you asked on atom section?
perhaps there you can have more chances

Phone bricked during flash of roms??

Hi all,
I have a huge problem and I hope you guys can help me. I tried to flash the orbit (german) artemis of my brother. First flashed the uspl and everything worked fine. At the end there came this penguin picture and the screen stayed black/blue. Then I flashed the rom (MossisROMV3.0GER Windows Mobile 6.5).
HOWEVER: Right then the battery of the laptop went down and the pc switched off. Unfortunately we couldnt plug it in, since we didnt have the cable with us. Now after pluging in the pc there were some connection error notices. Since I didnt know how to proceed I removed the battery of the artemis. I thought I should repeat everything from the beginning on. However the phone always got stuck at the blue o2 screen showing the data:
IPL 3.04.0001
SPL 3.04.0000
GSM 02.88.90
OS 3.13.0.0
Softreset and harrest doesnt make any difference. The phone always gets stuck here.
Is the phone bricked?? Why then does it start? Please help me out asap, since the phone is needed. What can I do?

first you are NOT CID unlocked (SPL 3.04.0000)
so you can only flash german orbit ROM on the phone to revive it
1. get to bootloader (press and hold the record button and reset the phone using stylus)
you will get the tri colour screen
2. connect the phone via USB to PC (no need to look for activesync/WMDC connection in this case)
3. and run the RUU (official O2 german ROM for O2 Xda Orbit)

BTW i have official o2 UK ROM in my 4shared account
look for the link in my signature
you may try your luck on that

after installing a wm 6.5 ger rom i must say i dont like it at all. can you recommend me another one? i think one with htc touchflo would be great, but which one is it?
If i want to flash a new rom, do i first have to flash the original rom before proceeding?
