[Theme] Blood Splatter JF 1.42 RC-33 Only! - UPDATED!

I will definitely be giving this a go. Who doesn't like blood? You think you might be able to get the word "android" somewhere in the second blood splatter?

oh shoot... actually i had the wrong wallpaper on here... i went with a different one...

Um....though the boot screen is cool, I'd like to be able to use my phone. It won't leave the boot screen.

Okay.Now that it's been on the boot screen for 15 minutes..... the notifications bar came up.... it is bloody. But the rest of the screen is black. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I might have screwed it up.... but if not just a heads up if it's something you can fix.
Looks like a badass theme if it would work properly. I even have the Halloween theme as my ringtone. Haha

im really sorry... does anyone else know why this might be happening? i couldnt think of anything that would make it do that...hmmm.
are you on RC-30?

I wiped my phone then it worked hmm...i could take a look. Looks good keep working and adding blood.

I don't really want to wipe my phone again....so I'll pass on this one. Thanks though. Keep working on it.

I installed this over the Ghost Black beta and it worked like a charm. No wipe needed.

that looks cool, I will be gone for a few days... an emergency came up... i will hopefully have version 2 done by next weekend and i will include this as a wallpaper... thanks!

Can you build version 2 to be compatible with JFv1.41? Decisions, decisions... Auto rotate and multi-touch browser, or a sweet sweet display.
I'm going to try my hand at doing it myself, and if I get a workable version I'll upload my zip file.
I went with the below for my wallpaper but cropped it to exclude the Zombie Girl text. Her right cheek just lines up with the right side of the center screen. If I get the 1.41 build going I'll crop it and throw it in the wallpaper section.

I did a quick hack job and here is a version of the theme with the browser updated to match JFv1.41. I left all the other APK's as they were in the original theme release.
I flashed this to my phone and it's working for me. Use caution because I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing and this is my first time doing anything theme related. I take no responsibility for what this files does to anyone's phone. RC30 only.
Here's what happened just in case it helps anyone in the future. When I originally added this theme to 1.41 the browser multitouch and autorotate disappeared as they should have. I created an update.zip with the new multitouch but left the browser.odex. When I applied the theme, it replaced the browser but the features still didn't work. So, I re-applied JFv1.41 to start with a clean slate. Then, I made the update.zip that I'm posting, which removed the browser.odex. I'm not sure if starting from a clean slate fixed it, or if removing browser.odex fixed it.

I'll try to update the rest tonight or in the next day or two. Are you still working on this theme Randum Access? I'm confused by the differences between the thread title and your last post. If you aren't, do you mind if I fork or maintain this as long as I give you credit in any subsequent releases?

[Theme] iKID 02/11/0* RC33

I know someone had mentioned using these icons before so I applied them to my sticker theme. The only changes are the icons and adding the wallpaper to the wallpaper gallery.
As usual the auto rotate browser is included but you MUST remove the Browser.odex BEFORE launching the browser.

Rc33 now supported, added more menu icons, added my faves and voice search icon, changed the clock, boot screen, dialer pad, and pull up handle, brushed metal header in apps/browser thanks to geo and his macdroid theme.
this theme uses a lot of space on /system please make sure you have already flashed rc33 lite or have moved media to your sd card

nothing is wrong with it.
sounds like you haven't flashed rc33 lite or you haven't moved the /media folder to the sd card yet

That's a nice dialer. Good work with these themes.

Who will be the first R33 theme?!?

With all the talk going on in the development forum, I thought I would hype up these awesome themers especially ::cough::dthadamaja::cough: JK to get the themes working with R33.
I know it just came out just giving ya that little push to get everything resigned and such for R33.

I'm honestly thinking about doing a backup and trying it. Worse case I have to fastboot some images back while I wait on Buuf

i cant access the market keeps on force closing and the latitude thingy lol

geez were stuck with the original crap until themes are updated.. i realized this after 3 failed boot attemps after installing a theme after a fresh RC33 update .. lol .. im like craaaaap the themes dont work!

Dont even try got stuck on tmobile g1 logo and had to reflash rc33 image again to get the phone working again anyones latitude working????

works for me. and the market worked after radio update

tried to flash ghost black with rc33 and got stuck on first G1 screen. was able to just reflash jf1.41 rc33 and its all back to normal.

Everything works good on my end. The people that make themes have to put in alot of hard work to get them out to us so may be awhile. Im sure they dread the new updates lol

I tried to be the first theme maker to get a RC33 update out but i am stuck at the first G1 screen. I think we will need to use a newer update.zip.
BTW updating a theme is a pain in the arse! takes about half an hour to pull all the PNGs into the update.zip

I don't doubt the time it takes and in no way made this thread to push anyone. I am really greatful the group of you take the time you do to make such nice things for us all.

Well, I only won if my RC33 theme won't brick your phones, and that remains to be seen

the original RC33 theme is up as well, btw....uploaded it a lil while ago...meaning just a few moments ago...lol

I was thinking the same thing. Something seems to have changed that is causing the bricking. I just went over and compared the RC30 version (that is working) and the RC33 version (that according to reports cause the phone to hang at the G1 boot screen) and everything seems to be in order, but still it won't work.

Finally all .9s have been working on my phone now for 2 days.
About time it is released. I am not responsible for any damage to anyones phones from this. this is for JF 1.42 rc33 only. I have not tried to port it to any other release. If you want to port it and put up a file please PM me.
2 versions available.
- I fixed the error some were getting while trying to update before.
VERSION 1 has the clock from fadetoblue (but the clock is in red)
VERSION 2 has a new clock based off the old one but redesigned with numbers on the face.
A BIG THANKS goes to DAMNITPUD for his original theme. And for letting me redesign it in red.

I really like FadeToBlue, and noticed the requests the theme developer was getting for a FadeToRed theme. So in conjuction with DamnitPud I have redesigned his theme to be red....
Please note that all icons and graphics are the same, they just FadeToRed now instead.
This is almost entirely done, but due to the theme competition I wanted to put a theme up soon for all to use. If this works flawlessly as it does now on my phone I will try to port it to ADP1.1h and RC30.
This is not the first theme I have ever attempted, nor is it the first I have completed.
However this is the first theme I have made that is entirely someone elses - thanks DAMNITPUD)
A Big thanks goes out to DamnitPud for all his hard work. And allowing me to do this to his already perfect theme.
No beta yet but I cant make a post like this and not give anything so Here you go.
I will release some screenshots soon when I have more of the .9s worked out.

I am sorry I didnt get the beta up yet, figured I will test it on my phone for a day before dooming all your phones...
so far so good, even those .9s are nice (thanks damnitpud for the tutorial)

Remember all the icons are the same, except the boot screen.
I have gotten the android to wave while it boots/glows.
A bit of animation history goes a long way when you only have 2 pics to edit.

Looking forward to check this out also, I might have to grab some animation info from you. Been trying to get the Vista bar to look like its moving but having a hard time with it.

you can probably change the xml code for the boot from the sdk, it would allow you to repostition the boot_robot.png and boot_robot_glow.png to the center bottom of page at that point you will have two images, if you make one image in the position you want and the other in the other (animated) position, its just a matter of making an area of the 1st image black on the 2nd image. when it fades in and out it, the black area will fade in making the image behind it unseen.
If you send me the files you are working on I will see what I can do.
P.S.
The XML edit is an idea, maybe talk to stericsson about it, as he is the only person I have seen edit so many successfully.
The animation idea will work no matter what, but you still need to reposition the images....

Looks oh so nice. Still one complaint (same on as with FadeToBlue): Can we get rid of this clock and put something like glossy minimalist style clock in that theme? No offense to damnitput, i sported FadeToBlue for longer then any other theme but that clock just doesn not look right. Pretty please!!!!!

I rather like the clock and to be honest (not biased or anything) I kinda like the red one better than the blue and I am generally a fan of green (coming soon by the way) Once I have all these .9s done I think I will test it for a day or two and then release it as a final v1.0. There is not much else to do to this theme to make it better. After all it is not even my theme to begin with
I can give you a guide on how to take the clock from one them and just make the file yourself, without permission from the original creator of the clock I don't feel I should post it. But all the information is in the stick about making themes. Just go into the framework-res/system/apps/launcher.apk/res/drawables and put the clock you want into that folder, make sure to sign the launcher.apk and the update.zip before loading it onto your phone again....

I am going to enter my own theme into the competition its almost done.

Hey smeyer, looking forward to the full release. The red and blue together dont look right. But for the signing, you only have to sign the update.zip, the process it uses signs each apk, then the update.zip. That was partly why i abandon'd the project. I found that out after making the dropdown for all the other apks.
Ahh you are going to make a fadetogreen too eh =) i was thinking about doing the same. But you seem to work much faster then me...so ill wait to see how yours comes out heh.

Still playing with the .9s, they need to be tested almost one at a time so it is gonna be a little before that part of them is complete.

hey im running jf1.42 rc33 rooted all that good stuff ... tried installing the ftr theme and it didnt override the theme i had on previously. i went to the recovery and wiped now im gettin
installing from sdcard...
finding update package...
opening update package...

When it is released I will work on fadetogreen. Right now I am fixing the .9s for this one I am running it now with all the .9s. So far so good... soon a v1 release

Great work! I love this theme! I did the same as wiked1r above and got the same error with the old clock file so I read where he got it to work w/the new clock version but when I went to dl it it came up 404 error...can u relink pls? Thx so much in advance!

i am finishing up on some icons, thinking about changing the color of some things, but dont want to make it over the top, plus i used some things from moondust, only the the backgrounds of the icons, nothing major...but released soon

i have the dudes template, so i will port it and release that also....
