[Theme] Blue Brush (RC33, Updated 03-04-2009)

Hey guys, just made this theme, for personal usage really, and decided to share.
If anyone wants it converted to another rom (ADP, ect) just ask.

I really like the fact that it uses the default icons for the apps! Then new apps downloaded don't look out of place at all. Thats one of the main reasons I don't have a theme right now but you may have just changed my mind! Thanks for this

Same here. I used all the default icons, i only changed the home screen really. I think the other themes are really over doing the changes.

I don't mind all the changing of all the little things but the apps kinda bugs me. Maybe I'm just ocd like that but I just like things to match & flow together. I have bettercut now so it helps but its not the same.

Actually I just bought dxTop so I don't know that I'll be installing themes anytime soon. I think I'll try my hand at skinning that & then see what happens from there. Would it be alright if I tried skinning it using your theme? I really like the blue

I was wondering, I like your "android root" screen but is there anyway to keep your theme (which is great) and get the glowing robot one back?

[Theme] FADETORED JF1.42 RC33 *FULL RELEASE v1.0* SCREENSHOTS (UPDATED 03/11/2009)

UPDATE - 03/11/2009
Finally all .9s have been working on my phone now for 2 days.
About time it is released. I am not responsible for any damage to anyones phones from this. this is for JF 1.42 rc33 only. I have not tried to port it to any other release. If you want to port it and put up a file please PM me.
2 versions available.
- I fixed the error some were getting while trying to update before.
VERSION 1 has the clock from fadetoblue (but the clock is in red)
VERSION 2 has a new clock based off the old one but redesigned with numbers on the face.
A BIG THANKS goes to DAMNITPUD for his original theme. And for letting me redesign it in red.

All the icons are finally done, just finishing up the .9s, Here is the new file with the new clock... If you want to stay with the old clock, the update.zip is there too.

I really like FadeToBlue, and noticed the requests the theme developer was getting for a FadeToRed theme. So in conjuction with DamnitPud I have redesigned his theme to be red....
Please note that all icons and graphics are the same, they just FadeToRed now instead.
This is almost entirely done, but due to the theme competition I wanted to put a theme up soon for all to use. If this works flawlessly as it does now on my phone I will try to port it to ADP1.1h and RC30.
This is not the first theme I have ever attempted, nor is it the first I have completed.
However this is the first theme I have made that is entirely someone elses - thanks DAMNITPUD)
A Big thanks goes out to DamnitPud for all his hard work. And allowing me to do this to his already perfect theme.
No beta yet but I cant make a post like this and not give anything so Here you go.
I will release some screenshots soon when I have more of the .9s worked out.

Just remember to rename to update.zip
Then restart your phone and hold HOME + POWER together to start it.
ALT + S and then HOME + BACK TO RESTART once the update is complete.

I am sorry I didnt get the beta up yet, figured I will test it on my phone for a day before dooming all your phones...
so far so good, even those .9s are nice (thanks damnitpud for the tutorial)
I will update hopefully tonight or in the morning with the beta.
Remember all the icons are the same, except the boot screen.
I have gotten the android to wave while it boots/glows.
A bit of animation history goes a long way when you only have 2 pics to edit.

Looking forward to check this out also, I might have to grab some animation info from you. Been trying to get the Vista bar to look like its moving but having a hard time with it.

you can probably change the xml code for the boot from the sdk, it would allow you to repostition the boot_robot.png and boot_robot_glow.png to the center bottom of page at that point you will have two images, if you make one image in the position you want and the other in the other (animated) position, its just a matter of making an area of the 1st image black on the 2nd image. when it fades in and out it, the black area will fade in making the image behind it unseen.
If you send me the files you are working on I will see what I can do.
P.S.
The XML edit is an idea, maybe talk to stericsson about it, as he is the only person I have seen edit so many successfully.
The animation idea will work no matter what, but you still need to reposition the images....

Looks oh so nice. Still one complaint (same on as with FadeToBlue): Can we get rid of this clock and put something like glossy minimalist style clock in that theme? No offense to damnitput, i sported FadeToBlue for longer then any other theme but that clock just doesn not look right. Pretty please!!!!!

I rather like the clock and to be honest (not biased or anything) I kinda like the red one better than the blue and I am generally a fan of green (coming soon by the way) Once I have all these .9s done I think I will test it for a day or two and then release it as a final v1.0. There is not much else to do to this theme to make it better. After all it is not even my theme to begin with
I can give you a guide on how to take the clock from one them and just make the file yourself, without permission from the original creator of the clock I don't feel I should post it. But all the information is in the stick about making themes. Just go into the framework-res/system/apps/launcher.apk/res/drawables and put the clock you want into that folder, make sure to sign the launcher.apk and the update.zip before loading it onto your phone again....

helps to make a copy of the update.zip you are working with so that the original doesnt get lost.

Remember that this is just a skin/flavor of an existing theme.
I am going to enter my own theme into the competition its almost done.

Hey smeyer, looking forward to the full release. The red and blue together dont look right. But for the signing, you only have to sign the update.zip, the process it uses signs each apk, then the update.zip. That was partly why i abandon'd the project. I found that out after making the dropdown for all the other apks.
Ahh you are going to make a fadetogreen too eh =) i was thinking about doing the same. But you seem to work much faster then me...so ill wait to see how yours comes out heh.

hey im running jf1.42 rc33 rooted all that good stuff ... tried installing the ftr theme and it didnt override the theme i had on previously. i went to the recovery and wiped now im gettin
installing from sdcard...
finding update package...
opening update package...

any idea whats up i downloaded the normal clock

When it is released I will work on fadetogreen. Right now I am fixing the .9s for this one I am running it now with all the .9s. So far so good... soon a v1 release

Great work! I love this theme! I did the same as wiked1r above and got the same error with the old clock file so I read where he got it to work w/the new clock version but when I went to dl it it came up 404 error...can u relink pls? Thx so much in advance!

[Comp Theme] - Impossible [Stericson/Moonspoon]

First of all, thanks to Moonspoon for many of these graphics and ideas he has given me.
Thanks to Jwdme, John, for the idea behind the dialpad, ultimately it is his work but with a slight modification.
Secondly, I"ve been super busy and didn't get to put the time into this that I wanted to but I can say I'm very happy with it...there's more to do but the deadline was over and it was acceptable enough to enter.
This theme includes custom support for Lock 2.0, which means that my update file will load and install a custom lockscreen made for this theme. Note that Lock 2.0 must be installed and ran at least once before installing this update.
This theme is for ADP1.1
There have been many xml edits, text colors, transparent notification menu, colors for menus, etc.
Buttons have been redone and look great in my opinion, the notification menu is now fully transparent.
Pictures below....sorry for short post....just bought a new RX8 and can't say I'm spending too much time away from it...lol

Love the theme, but im sure theres a reason for being on adp1.1. As soon as there is a legit work around the whole market issue I will be rocking this theme. Just sucks it has to be so "bitter sweet"

i installed it and i cant get the custom lock screen to work

i have a suggestion the time can be in bold red ? and the battery can be in different color of reds when it id dying down - just a suggestion

I have had a few with this issue, make sure you have lockscreen 2.0 installed and ran at least once, meaning, let it download the default theme and then install the theme.

couldn't get the custom lock to work for me either- and i had it running before- doesn't matter- i think i prefer the pattern lock.....if only we could customise that with a picture etc....
I do have one issue- i can't reflash back to my old theme (Kspec) from this one. It goes into a loop with the android robot.... then i have to pull the battery, try again and still doesn't work. I can flash back to this one though ok.... is this a conspiracy?
Now my droidsans autorotate has stopped working- only thing i have done is reflash this theme so somehow this has stuffed up autorotate?

Does that mean it won't work on ADP1.1h? It works fine on my ADP1.1h but autorotate is now not working....
***edit**** somehow i think it has stuffed up my accelerometer- not working now...... chompsms and steel plus dxtop don't autorotate anymore as do other apps, but then my droidsans says "bad version"... i am confused.....

reinstall jf. this does work on Adp1.1 and theres no way a theme of anysort could mess with your accelerometer.
[Edit] I now think that you must have the paid version of lock 2.0 for this to work.

ok. thanks- just wanted to make sure it wasn't something i had done while installing the themes- obviously i bumped it or something in between taking the battery out 40000000 times.....
BTW: love the theme. The deep theming you have done is amazing- you can't really appreciate the depth of it until you use it for a couple of days- sure the surface icons etc are great but the other stuff is fantastic- thanks.

This is the sickest by far, nostalgic theme created for ppc! And you got a deviant artist to help, well I kind of think some of their stuff is over the top, but no wonder the nastiness continues with all your screens!! This is a notable job!!

Ive had the themes for a week now and i wanted to say yours stood out with the best, you and 2 other themes really went all out and stood well above the others. I'm not a fan of mario but it was one of the best and most complete themes in contest, great job! I just hope yours doesn't get overlooked by voters because post came out so late in the game

For the ones who haven't seen the images of the mario droid theme, what is your problem?? This theme by far one of the best if not THE best one!!!! I for one will be voting for this theme.(as soon as i figure out how to vote)

I hate how (other than BROWSER) the app icons are just random characters... I'd actually continue to use it if it was easier to remember what icon does what without having to look at the text for each icon...

I like this theme a lot, but it seems to have caused a problem. I used it for a couple days to evaluate it, and then loaded the next theme to evaluate. Now the font that was installed with the Mario Droid theme is stuck on my phone. No matter what theme I load, the Mario theme's font will not change. Does anyone have any recomendations for correcting this issue?

Wow! I skipped this theme. I was a little hesitant of downloading this theme, but until I saw the screenshots I fell in love with it.

theme looks great but im getting a wrong digest message when trying to install the theme. is that because the zip is not signed correctly? anyone else having this problem?

Which version are you trying to install? I've never run into that particular error myself...let me know and I will do what I can to help...

You're right, there was a signing problem with the file that I linked to there. I fixed it, so it should work great now. Let me know if you encounter any other problems! Thanks for the heads-up!

I tried to install this theme but now my phone is stuck at the boot screen..
I booted into recovery mode and pushed alt+s and it loaded without any errors, but when I rebooted it just stayed at boot screen
Not sure what i did wrong its the right version and everything.

[Theme] Bluedroid Multi-rom [10/11/09]

I wanna start off by thanking Jf, haykuro, The whole community and mostly Cy for pushin the limits and still not givin up when all looks dead, Stericson for all the great tutorials and work he's done, Manup and all the great themers for the inspiration to learn how to theme im still not great but im working on it. Ok now that the mushy stuff is out the way this theme is for CM 4.0.4 Stable and Cm 4.1.11.1 experimental ONLY!! ill update as i can if u don't like it don't use it no one is forcing u to download this Im not a dev i just do this in my spare time for fun i figured i would share. If you don't like the mini me hero clock then u can use the great app by crotalusfreak in the market se hero clocks im sure u all know about it but for anyone that doesn't its a great app. Updated to cm 4.1.11.1 its not exactly the same but as close as i can get for now. I forgot to thank ohsaka for color change.jar its amazing and thanks to david1171 for supplying me with the experimental template.
Updated 10/7/2009 with stericsons lockscreen a couple fixes and blur animations for 4.1.11.1 ONLY!! will update to 4.1.999 tom when i get a chance. i know its a lil late but my computer crashed and i lost all my original files and image editing stuff better late then never tho. This update is not a full theme and MUST!! be flashed on top of the original 4.1.11.1 theme for now will be full theme next update.
Updated 10/11/2009 4.1.999, few fixes, stericsons lock screen working on version without should be up shortly, Advanced launcher, Blur Animations, works for 4.1.999. Thanks to moonspoon for his clock minute hand from gchrome and to drizzy for the blur animations.

ya i had to redo em from scratch thats why its a little diff except the new search widget i just changed the search floater.png until i can figure the rest out its a pita

it seems like they just changed all the widgets to one .9 now aint it?

yeah i noticed that and actually think it is a good move on their part since it can be annoying when something works one layout and fails on another layout.

yeah i think the global search widget just looks ugly.

ya def they shoulda went with the same layout as the rest of em. have u figured out how to change the progress loading circle it seems like they changed the xmls that u edit on 4.0.4 i changed all the spinner pngs but it only changed the small loading circles the rest stayed the same

i haven't tried to mess with them , but if/when i mess with them i will let you know my findings. try asking in the progress bars/circles thread maybe someone in there has figured it out.

I don't know if ths theme is still being worked on, if it's completed, if the link is bad, or what. But, I downloaded the theme and after a reboot it just hangs on the G1 screen.
I wiped before installing this theme and the whole nine yards.
Any advice?

which version are you trying? and how long are you waiting if your wiping you have to give it a little bit to build the apps tray i tested both links before i put em up but let me check em again see if i get the same problem.

The 4.1.11.1 version. Tried again today. No dice. It hangs on the G1 screen for at least 10 mins or more. Admittedly I have a gazillion apps, and I'm used to giving themes time to do their thing but something just doesn't seem right here.
