[Theme] Stargate G1 jfrc33 1.42 /adp 1.1h

here it is Stargate G1 theme did not change all the icon i may come back and add more to it.the odds of bricking your phone are extremely remote,however i have to put that in there . I tryed jfrc33 1.42 three times on my phone and it worked all three times and did not wipe my phone so it should work with out rc33 light or moving audio files to the sd card.if it don't work you will need to install rc33 light or move the audio files.I DID NOT TRY ADP 1.1H i don't have it so i can not try i think it will work but don't know if you try it post

1.first you need root and jf rc33 (1.42) or adp 1.1h
2.just change the name to update.zip and add it to your phones sd card
3.shut the phone off and boot your phone in to recovery mode by holding the home+(red)power button until you get to a android system recovery screen
4.then press ALT+S .. and there your done now

hey kron! i am a fellow member of allshadow.com and am super exciting to take the plunge into the droid world of hacking. lol i like the theme... but i was wondering if you could help me come up with a simple black theme! i will post a mock up later... but something along the lines of freddy reyes black theme for the shadow... simple.... more elegant.. maybe almost like a hint of tint to the ui... and a new more classy tab... i just think itll make our phones sick. not a ton of major changes just enough to soften the edges of android! what do you think??

I am trying to get a copy of his version 2 so we can get it made in a non-wipe version.

I am with you on a more elegant theme I like simple. the description you are talking about sounds like some of the same ideas I am having for a new theme.like vista and android all in one. I am going to add some more icons to this theme and call it done for now . now it is time to see if I can make a update.zip don't know how to make a non-wipe version .I will have to look in to it

just go to my tutorial and use the empty update.zip I provided, it already has the update script in it, which is non-wipe.

yeah kron. i mean you know how popular those themes were on the shadow. they made a good base for people to begin building their own themes off of.... i personally built a few myself when we started modding 6.1..... but anyways thats old news... gotta learn all this android stuff now... im gonna attempt to build a theme this week if my schedule allows. well see about that. the ski slopes are calling my name... hahaha but im really excited to dive into this world. and quite frankly im sad that the forums for the g1 on allshadow.com have kinda died. but chyeah.... anyways... looking forward to working with you all soon.

I watched stargate at least 3 times all seasons. I love your theme, but i have a small problem, I have JFv1.43 (ADP1.1h)! Is it possible to make one for this version? PLEASE!!!!

When I was waiting for the theme to boot the first time and the Android animated splash popped up I thought it would be cool if there was a spinning Stargate there.........lol.......don't mind me just a non talented nerd having an idea........love your work.

Finally all .9s have been working on my phone now for 2 days.
About time it is released. I am not responsible for any damage to anyones phones from this. this is for JF 1.42 rc33 only. I have not tried to port it to any other release. If you want to port it and put up a file please PM me.
2 versions available.
- I fixed the error some were getting while trying to update before.
VERSION 1 has the clock from fadetoblue (but the clock is in red)
VERSION 2 has a new clock based off the old one but redesigned with numbers on the face.
A BIG THANKS goes to DAMNITPUD for his original theme. And for letting me redesign it in red.

I really like FadeToBlue, and noticed the requests the theme developer was getting for a FadeToRed theme. So in conjuction with DamnitPud I have redesigned his theme to be red....
Please note that all icons and graphics are the same, they just FadeToRed now instead.
This is almost entirely done, but due to the theme competition I wanted to put a theme up soon for all to use. If this works flawlessly as it does now on my phone I will try to port it to ADP1.1h and RC30.
This is not the first theme I have ever attempted, nor is it the first I have completed.
However this is the first theme I have made that is entirely someone elses - thanks DAMNITPUD)
A Big thanks goes out to DamnitPud for all his hard work. And allowing me to do this to his already perfect theme.
No beta yet but I cant make a post like this and not give anything so Here you go.
I will release some screenshots soon when I have more of the .9s worked out.

Then restart your phone and hold HOME + POWER together to start it.
ALT + S and then HOME + BACK TO RESTART once the update is complete.

I am sorry I didnt get the beta up yet, figured I will test it on my phone for a day before dooming all your phones...
so far so good, even those .9s are nice (thanks damnitpud for the tutorial)
I will update hopefully tonight or in the morning with the beta.
Remember all the icons are the same, except the boot screen.
I have gotten the android to wave while it boots/glows.
A bit of animation history goes a long way when you only have 2 pics to edit.

Looking forward to check this out also, I might have to grab some animation info from you. Been trying to get the Vista bar to look like its moving but having a hard time with it.

you can probably change the xml code for the boot from the sdk, it would allow you to repostition the boot_robot.png and boot_robot_glow.png to the center bottom of page at that point you will have two images, if you make one image in the position you want and the other in the other (animated) position, its just a matter of making an area of the 1st image black on the 2nd image. when it fades in and out it, the black area will fade in making the image behind it unseen.
If you send me the files you are working on I will see what I can do.
P.S.
The XML edit is an idea, maybe talk to stericsson about it, as he is the only person I have seen edit so many successfully.
The animation idea will work no matter what, but you still need to reposition the images....

Looks oh so nice. Still one complaint (same on as with FadeToBlue): Can we get rid of this clock and put something like glossy minimalist style clock in that theme? No offense to damnitput, i sported FadeToBlue for longer then any other theme but that clock just doesn not look right. Pretty please!!!!!

I rather like the clock and to be honest (not biased or anything) I kinda like the red one better than the blue and I am generally a fan of green (coming soon by the way) Once I have all these .9s done I think I will test it for a day or two and then release it as a final v1.0. There is not much else to do to this theme to make it better. After all it is not even my theme to begin with
I can give you a guide on how to take the clock from one them and just make the file yourself, without permission from the original creator of the clock I don't feel I should post it. But all the information is in the stick about making themes. Just go into the framework-res/system/apps/launcher.apk/res/drawables and put the clock you want into that folder, make sure to sign the launcher.apk and the update.zip before loading it onto your phone again....

helps to make a copy of the update.zip you are working with so that the original doesnt get lost.

Remember that this is just a skin/flavor of an existing theme.
I am going to enter my own theme into the competition its almost done.
After that I am planning a fadetogreen. I just really like this fadeto....

Hey smeyer, looking forward to the full release. The red and blue together dont look right. But for the signing, you only have to sign the update.zip, the process it uses signs each apk, then the update.zip. That was partly why i abandon'd the project. I found that out after making the dropdown for all the other apks.
Ahh you are going to make a fadetogreen too eh =) i was thinking about doing the same. But you seem to work much faster then me...so ill wait to see how yours comes out heh.

hey im running jf1.42 rc33 rooted all that good stuff ... tried installing the ftr theme and it didnt override the theme i had on previously. i went to the recovery and wiped now im gettin
installing from sdcard...
finding update package...

When it is released I will work on fadetogreen. Right now I am fixing the .9s for this one I am running it now with all the .9s. So far so good... soon a v1 release

Great work! I love this theme! I did the same as wiked1r above and got the same error with the old clock file so I read where he got it to work w/the new clock version but when I went to dl it it came up 404 error...can u relink pls? Thx so much in advance!

[Theme] HEROES based on tv show RC33 v.2 beta

this is still a work in progress as i am looking to create a few more system icons and the launcher tab on the homescreen. i will be updating this semi regularly(school and work have both kicked up a notch recently so i will be on a little less frequently) main thing i am looking for is a good picture of sylar taking someone's head off. if you have a good pic of someone who got scalped by sylar(preferably with the head removed but i could work with almost anything) i found several pics but i don't like them since his hand is in the pic. if you have any suggestions or anything you would like to say about this theme then by all means let me know i am up for trying anything. i am still working on getting my eclipse up and running, some errors are keeping me from being able to edit .9.png images. as well as hex edits might be attempted later.

Could use a bit of polishing/etc. And change the pull tab of Claire's cut head. Looks ugly and doesn't fit well. And I assume there are 2 of them from dxTop? If so, you should use the default home to showcase themes. Unless this is a dxTop only theme. If so, please state that.

i know the tab looks bad right now, but it's actually really hard to find adecent pic of sylar scalping someone. i meant to use the default home screen for the pics so i will re upload them later when i get to my computer and have a different home screen screenshot. if you have an idea of something to try for the app tab then please let me know, i am up for any and all improvements.

Love the theme and will not be switching to anything else in the near future. Would love to see some more of your work. A+++

edit: or how about using that "S" symbol as the pull tab and using one of the many painted artworks as the wallpaper. . .

why didnt i see this before!!!?? ... would be awesome if you ported to 1.5 .. Heroes is the the only show i have EVER watched religiously.

this was posted a while ago and i figured since i got almost no response about it, and only a half dozen downloads that it wasn't worth fixing up more or porting it. i will download my own theme sometime soon and see what i can do. i was working on a dude theme containing black and blue(i prefer dark themes) but the 1.1 got released with manup's black and blue theme so i might start over. i have no big ideas on a theme yet, just a few minor tweaks for some personal use not to be released

well it looks and IS amazing. Only theme i use.

i will probably port to dude version and JF haykuro users sorry but i have no intention of porting it to those builds. i do not know when i will be porting but probably to the dude build soon since i am missing my theme a lot

xRom themes?

I know there is xSmorg, which is just as f'n cool as Smorg is for CM, but why is there not a single other theme for xRom? I understand CM is the most widely used and therefore would have many more themes for it, but seriously, only one for xRom, and it's a port of a CM theme? To be fair, xRom doesn't need much themeing, but it would be nice to have options.

i don't know about other people, but i have not used xRom so if i made themes for it then i would have to flash it every time i needed to test something. also i am lazy and there is no template but if you like my theme then i could find the time to try and port it to xRom. shouldn't be too difficult. but yeah pm me if you would like me to try it.

Once xrom is finalized and the template is out I'm sure there will be themes for it. I'm sure manup will be coming out with some great stuff for it as well as other theme makers. Its just gonna take time, cyanogen's builds are so popular that everyone is overlooking the xrom which is too bad cause the xrom rocks!!

I guess it makes sense that it'll happen eventually, I just hope it's sooner rather than later. I love cyanogen's mods, but xRom just runs so much better for me.
I haven't run Red Oreo yet, but ran kspec's oreo for a few weeks and loved it. The only thing that kept me from running Red Oreo was the colors on the screenshots, they seemed VERY vibrant and I go for a much more subdued color scheme. If the red was more like the Red Hero (deeper and darker) that would be my kind of thing. Having said that, if it was ported for xRom I would definitely give it go since there is such a lack of themes.
My idea for what I think would be a very simple theme would be to replace the green on xRom with a royal blue, something that would really stand out.

There are no themes for xROM because It has already been pimped by the man himself MANUP! so if you want themes go use a cyanogen mod!

Anyway, I don't really see what xROM has that Cyan doesn't. IMO it was designed with the intention that it would stay the way it is, so people wouldnt have to worry about flashing themes.

For those who want themes for xRom or ne build for tht matter....cant u just use themeporter and port it over ? correct me if im wrong (i dont think the newupdate and old update have to be same do they ?)

the problem is that themeporter only works with theme templates ... i made one here for JACxROM, but ive not completely checked it out (sorry running CM) ... so if someone wants they can be a guinea pig and try it out

[Theme] Bluedroid Multi-rom [10/11/09]

I wanna start off by thanking Jf, haykuro, The whole community and mostly Cy for pushin the limits and still not givin up when all looks dead, Stericson for all the great tutorials and work he's done, Manup and all the great themers for the inspiration to learn how to theme im still not great but im working on it. Ok now that the mushy stuff is out the way this theme is for CM 4.0.4 Stable and Cm 4.1.11.1 experimental ONLY!! ill update as i can if u don't like it don't use it no one is forcing u to download this Im not a dev i just do this in my spare time for fun i figured i would share. If you don't like the mini me hero clock then u can use the great app by crotalusfreak in the market se hero clocks im sure u all know about it but for anyone that doesn't its a great app. Updated to cm 4.1.11.1 its not exactly the same but as close as i can get for now. I forgot to thank ohsaka for color change.jar its amazing and thanks to david1171 for supplying me with the experimental template.
Updated 10/7/2009 with stericsons lockscreen a couple fixes and blur animations for 4.1.11.1 ONLY!! will update to 4.1.999 tom when i get a chance. i know its a lil late but my computer crashed and i lost all my original files and image editing stuff better late then never tho. This update is not a full theme and MUST!! be flashed on top of the original 4.1.11.1 theme for now will be full theme next update.
Updated 10/11/2009 4.1.999, few fixes, stericsons lock screen working on version without should be up shortly, Advanced launcher, Blur Animations, works for 4.1.999. Thanks to moonspoon for his clock minute hand from gchrome and to drizzy for the blur animations.

ya i had to redo em from scratch thats why its a little diff except the new search widget i just changed the search floater.png until i can figure the rest out its a pita

it seems like they just changed all the widgets to one .9 now aint it?

yeah i noticed that and actually think it is a good move on their part since it can be annoying when something works one layout and fails on another layout.

yeah i think the global search widget just looks ugly.

ya def they shoulda went with the same layout as the rest of em. have u figured out how to change the progress loading circle it seems like they changed the xmls that u edit on 4.0.4 i changed all the spinner pngs but it only changed the small loading circles the rest stayed the same

i haven't tried to mess with them , but if/when i mess with them i will let you know my findings. try asking in the progress bars/circles thread maybe someone in there has figured it out.

I don't know if ths theme is still being worked on, if it's completed, if the link is bad, or what. But, I downloaded the theme and after a reboot it just hangs on the G1 screen.
I wiped before installing this theme and the whole nine yards.
Any advice?

which version are you trying? and how long are you waiting if your wiping you have to give it a little bit to build the apps tray i tested both links before i put em up but let me check em again see if i get the same problem.

The 4.1.11.1 version. Tried again today. No dice. It hangs on the G1 screen for at least 10 mins or more. Admittedly I have a gazillion apps, and I'm used to giving themes time to do their thing but something just doesn't seem right here.
