please someone help me,
today i upgraded to a new wm6.1 Rom for HTC P3400 which was posted in gene forum here at XDA Developers , after successful upgrade my phone restarted n got stuck at bootloader.
i hv tried almost every solution avaible at Forum XDA developers, but still same condition.
i hv hard reset it several times, also gave unsuccessful try to Mtty , and gene unbreak.
please someone tell me how to unbreak my device, becuz i hv gone through almost every solution, but nothing working.
ther is solution for newer genes in "Gene Forum" but tht also not workin on my old gene.
and please tell me that can i send it to HTC india, as it is still under warrenty.
i m afraid that they wont repair it as i was using custom wm 6.1 roms
so please somebody help me out. i m really in grt tension....

thanks for ur response ,
i spent more than 2 Days completely in searching n trying methods given in this forum.
i tried hspl by SD card also but it says some certificate error. and reformated it several times by pressing both "-" keys n power key at same time...
but after format still same problem exist.
most of the methods given in forum are for unbricking New Gene, which is P3400i
so all these methods are showing error to my phone.
please tell me some way to unbrick my device.
previously i was using wm6.1 fusion , than i upgraded to WM6.1 stock, this is when my device got bricked....now m very afraid..
atleast tell me please that if i send my phone to HTC, for repair, will they accept this or not .
becuz i was using unofficial wm6.1, so would this void warrenty or not ???
since upgrade to rom from PDAViet my 1st boot screen got changed to "Smart Mobility" screen. is ther any way to restore my original wm5 HTC logo white screen ????
and yea/...i also tried downgrading to stock wm5 rom (P3400 - 24 March 2007)
but it always say "Invalid Vendor Id" n phone gets rebooted.....
i guess m in really big trouble......please guys....help me out.......

decided to update the xda2 Rom to the latest O2 offerings. but its completely screwed. all i have is a screen that says USB v1.01 it wont hard or soft reset. is there anything i can do or is it off to O2 repair centre?

Plz always first read through the forum and particularly the forum and thread which concerns with your device,there you have a better chance of getting help,either this problem has already been discussed in there or there wud be many guys to help you,there was no need to start a new thread.plz post in the correct forum and thread concerning XDA II (Himalaya)

Dont know why but did a very stupid upgrade yestoday.I think I used a wrong MaUpgradeUt_noid.exe(XDAII version) to flash the wm6 rom for my imate.!!!
There is no bootloader now even I do a POwer+lighting+Softreset. I did a search on the site .I realized that I might damaged my bootloader . also I know it is hard to find a way to fix it by myself. but I 'm still hope someone do a favour!!!

i went to a cervice center in my city because my i mate jasjam have an issue that the screen is white and the keypad not working. they told me that my device is out of warranty since it has "illegal software" ( another windows not the official ).
i was wondering if the cause of the problem is the software not a harduare problem as they assumed
so the question is have any one who only use official roms had the same issue :the white screen and not working bottuns??

firstly do a search for hermes white screen with the google xda-devs search... but anyways we all do it..
but... i had this problem, and i also had a random problem of the bttom 5 piselx of the screen got moved to the top.. made it look extremely weird.. but after several flashes, it was still there, then i flashed schaps 4.01 again [it was the rom i had when it all started] and now its fine [touches wood]
but it could be hardware..
[edit]like myv6mustang said, flash to the htc rom.. i did this and the orange wm5 rom supplied with it, amongst about 4 other roms, and after that it worked, no way of knowing which fixed it, but id guess htc's[/edit]

I been flashing mine on a weekly basis with no problem. Next time you may also want to flash the original rom back before you take it in. I have turned in 3 phones for different issues and i always flashed back and havent had a prob

which is the same problem that you have? or simply all of them?
If the warranty has only been void due to you having another ROM on it, look up MR VANX page and roll back your rom to original and give it another shot.

I have white screen some time and the keypad it's not working and some time the screen from the top give me 5 pixel from down , i try to reflash with oregnal rom and with tnt rom,nothing happen. so please if any onw can help coz there no agency where i live,my divace is i-mate jasjam, thanks all.

my htc have just stop working like a 6months ago and i just bought a new phone, but now i need to revive my smartphone. the only way i can connect it it's by bootloader ( hard reset doesnt work). i have tried rom installation *exe, during install is said that on htc there is no software on it. and the rom i install is not valid. i have tried all rom posted on this forum. help

Hi All
Well, after being without one for almost 5 years ... I have bought a second hand HTC Universal, mine to be specific is the O2 XDA Exec.
Being as it was second hand all I got was the handset and USB cable, no discs, box ... nothing! I am really trying to down-grade the ROM on it. It currently has WM6.5 .. and from what I can tell it is defo a cooked ROM from somewhere. I want to down grade to WM5 so it is faster and I dont need any of this fancy stuff as I will be using it for home automation.
I have done ROM upgrading before on my old HTC Touch HD ... so can anyone point me in the right direction please

Please please can someone help me here. My HTC Uni is now a brick, stuck in bootloader.
I have done the task 28 55aa and from what I can tell, it did what it was meant to. I cant seem to upgrade any roms tho, I have downloaded 5 so far and all have failed saying it cannot find RAPI.dll ... can anyone help me please?

OK, I bought this of eBay and it came with a really bad home cooked Rom that was really slow and laggy. I wanted to downgrade it down to WM5 again so I picked a ROM of here and set about updating. At this point I need to mention this, I cant remember the name of the rom BUT I DO NOT BLAME the cooker of the rom, any rom cookers or xda developers for the problems I now have ... i did this fully knowing i am doing it at my own risk!
So, I didnt do alot off research and found out later that you need a special driver to flash in windows 7. Since trying to flash my HTC it has been stuck in boot loader. I have tried the task 28 55aa, tried upgrading just the radios and just the roms. Hard reset .. all that I can think and no luck at all.
Some of the roms come wtih "MaUpgradeUt_noID" this works, but the "ROMUpgradeUt" doesnt as it says the RAPI.dll file is missing.
Please can someone help me!

all is well now, thanks orb. without your super guide I'd still have a dead HTC.
For all those who want to know, I had to upgrade my ROM on a windows XP machines ... luckily work surprisingly allowed me to do it!!
