Latest WWE ROM version ?

I think there are some different ROM versions for the diamond already.
Mine is:
ROM: 1.34.831.1 WWE
Date: 5/25/08
Radio: 0.93.25.NS16
Protocol version: 52.24.25.08H
It is problematic & slow and I have already had to hard reset twice.
Are there more recent versions available ?

Latest is 1.35.xxx
Date 6/7/08
But it's not availible yet.

Found a post with this info about the poster's phone:

Hello, Thanks joining waiting list for SPL 1.34 Hard, radio lock files stop current Unlock to work.

I presume it's not safe to install this rom until a custom spl is made?

Not really that it's not safe, it just won't upgrade. If you try it you get the "model ID error" and it does a soft-reset. No harm just no upgrade.

Hi guys.
I'm new on these kind of mobile devices. I'm waiting for my touch diamond to arrive.
Question: If the rom isn't upgradeable like new firmwares and such, how is HTC suppose to solve bugs and improve the devices ? If so, what kind of upgrades does HTC provide in the future to improve it ?

It will upgrade all firmware for the same device nationality, i.e. you can upgrade a diamond-HK with latest diamond-HK ROM, or diamond-UK with latest UK ROM. You just can't (at least not yet) load an HK ROM on a UK diamond and vice versa.

Got another question, perhaps only someone that already owns a diamond can answer.. does the English version brings more T9/XT9 dictionaries installed ? I've been searching the forums and it's not clear. Thing is, i ordered the English version since PT won't be available so soon, will i have the Portuguese T9 installed ?
I'm thinking I'm in real trouble with that and from what I've read on the forums it's not easy to add new dictionaries..

I bought my Diamond in the Middle East but there is a chance that it was imported from Asia. How I can know for sure that it's a Middle East version ?

Since the 707 Asia version seems to be the latest one, I highly doubt it.
Again, folks: the Asia ROM works very well with other region devices too, so there is no reason why not to go for the 707 ROM.
I run it successfully on my EU WWE device and it works perfectly with Vodafone Germany.

RUU_Diamond_SingTel_WWE_1.93.871.1 is now available for download at HTC website. There is also a new CE_STAR version CE-Star 2.8 R3C 0710.1 (E) in the website...

Hi, you can try login to HK HTC. Register your set and the link will be enable, I think.
Can anybody confirm that the RUU ROM from HTC is handset dependant? i.e. HK ROM for HK sets only, SG ROM for SG sets only....

Hi zk_69, so far I've tried HK_ROM and Europe_ROM with no problems. The ROM from HTC should be an independant ROM.

707 is dated 13/07/2008 and 871 is Singtel version which is latest and both are for ASIA. You wont see any difference although

If I remembered correctly, 1.93 is the ROM version and 707/871 is the region code.

Singtel most probably add some Singtel stuff to it..

can anyone confirm if there is an usb settings under start-settings-"usb connection" (cant remember the actual name)
i tried to do some personalization to the rom and after flashing, the usb option is no longer under settings...
and my phone can't activesync anymore ...
anyone have the same issue when flashing the original rom?

With new drivers looks bit faster.
Traditionally, with 1.00.25.05 radio - the best result by spbbench.

And don't forget about the hardSPL & hard reset.

check if you have a P3600 or P3600i

i think i have dopod d810, its an aus product, which make it as P3600
so i dont really need those both updates since i already got WM6 in my dopod, and besides the files are meant for P3600i device.

and from that thread, did "clean" mean for "official" ?

my WM is WM6 and want to get updates to wm6.1 or 6.5 official ver, which giving me a little shed since what i already downloaded were simply not what i looking for .. except for that clean ver. (maybe i haven't tried it)
