Hey yall, I would like to know if anyone could help me out with this one. I have an HTC Touch which is not syncing with my pc, is there a way I could flash my HTC Touch from the flash card.
Thanks in advance
lol, I had the same problem last night but I was able to fix. Might not be the same for you. I read all these different ways of doing it but the easiest way I did it was to copy all the files (extract the .exe with winrar), copy files to formated sd card, and run the "enterbootloader.exe". If this is not the case for you, and all you have is a .nbh, you have to rename the file to VOGUIMG.nbh
If you don't have a bootloader, im not sure as I am not that qualified to make a suggestion.
Hope this helps :x

Hi! all. i'm trying to root my desire which has a Bootrom of 0.80. i went to modaco website & downloaded the file to start rooting. but upon reading the instructions i couldn't understand the 3rd point below. after unziping the file, i can't find any file call 'update.zip'. Would appreciate help.
•Make your microSD card into a goldcard by following these instructions (it's a good idea to back up the contents of your card first!).
•Unzip the file you downloaded to a directory, then open a command prompt / terminal window at that directory.
•Copy the 'update.zip' file to your microSD. Do NOT rename it.

Try using the video guide on www.theunlocker.com!
I did'it and it works like a charm!
It duznt have to be called update.zip, just flash the zip how it is
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
Here's fake flash, properly named update.zip, so it doesn't confuse you
Just put it in root folder of your goldcard and do it

My USB port has gone bad and I need to reflash it (via SDcard) back to factory before I warranty swap it. However, I am having no luck finding the rhodimg.nbh file for a stock T-Mo ROM. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

So, you have the .exe form of the stock ROM? Like, the WM6.5 version T-Mo released?
That .exe is a compressed file, and if you expand it using 7zip or winrar or other then you'll see that RUU_signed.nbh is found inside it. Rename the "RUU_signed.nbh" file to "rhodimg.nbh" and use it for SD-card flashing.
thank you! I will give that a shot!
That worked perfectly. Thanks for your help!!!
Does anyone have the default SMS notification sound? I flashed a new rom and it doesn't have it. Thanks!
I have it somewhere on the sd card but honestly, I forgot what it sounded like and the name of it. Was it "notice me"? I can't help you at this moment because the phone won't let me upload. The only other thing I could think of if nobody else comes through for you is to do a COMPLETE nandroid backup in recovery, reinstall the previous rom, find the sounds and copy them to your card. Then go back into recovery and restore the full nandroid backup.
Or another way is to extract the rom zip file on the sd card or computer and then look in system/media/audio of the extracted zip and that's where they are at. Put them in (make these directories if you don't already have them) /sdcard/media/audio/notifications. After a reboot, they "should" show up in the place to change notifications. If that doesn't work the program called "aring" should set things up for you. I think you still might need a reboot. Sorry I couldn't be more help, I'm at work now.

That's fine. That's help enough. Thanks again.
extract not flash
Like I said, make new folders on the sdcard media/audio/notifications
unzip file(s)
put files into the directory above
reboot
phone should see them now
I think the sound you wanted was little, here's all the original notification sounds anyways
And if you act right now, we'll throw in a bonus gift!
Okay Fellas I need help with the basics.
I have a Galaxy Note 3. I successfully rooted it using the guidance provided here by the members. I also put clockworkmod revoery on the phone.
I am attempting to use clockwork mod to download zip files from my computer onto my external SD card and then install the included programs onto my phone. Everything works with me using Samsung Kies to detect my phone on my computer. I downloaded the zip files and UNZIPPED them first. I then used Kies to transfer the unzipped files onto my phone. I then used Clockwork mod and hit install zip. Next I selected install from external SD card and I see the unzipped files in clockwork. But everytime I select the files Clockwork tells me there are no files available, yet it is showing me the files. Essentially I am getting a reading of no content on the unzipped files I am being shown inb Clockwork.
Maybe the mistake i am making is I am not supposed to be unzipping the files before uploading them to my phone. Should they stay as zipped files when I transfer them or am I right in unzipping them forst on the computer.
I have been struggling with trying to get Clockwork to install the files for two days. Maybe you guys can tell me what basic steps that I am missing
Thanks so much
No need to unzip

Thanks so much for getting back to me on this matter as I am really baffled. I will try with the zipped files installed on clockwork
Hi,
since I am a new user I am not allowed to post in the original thread, hence my question here. I am total noob when it comes to Android. I am stuck on step 13 of the guide. How do I access the zip file on the sd card? My phone shows up as a drive but I can not see the contents of the sd card and therefore can not start .bat file.
Is that not the correct way to access the contents on the sd card, or did I do something wrong preparing the phone?
Thanks for the help!
Kind regards
Philipp
You've to start the .bat file from the installer file from your computer
Edit: For step 13 you need the Z1C installer.zip file. Unzip the file on your PC and run the install.bat
Thanks, I made it more clear! :good:
Thanks to both of you! I am going to try it out right nów. Should have thought of it, .bat is a Windows file.
Just out of curiosity; Does the .bat file unzip the files on the sd card, or why did I have to put them on there?
Kind regards
Philipp
edit: Never mind, I just saw that they were two different files!
