Can't use any new theme(tsk) other than the default ones!

I just find that I can't use any today theme(tsk) other than those ones included in the ROM. I copyed a new TSK file into Windows folder, and then go to Start>Settings>Personal>Today>Appearance, I can find the name of that theme, but when I selected it, nothing happens! Whatever the current theme is, it'll go to "Windows Default" theme if I select any new theme other than those included in the ROM! It's weird because I just hard-reset my Jasjar and didn't install any other applications, so it's not a third party application related probelm!
Is anyone experienced the same problem? and any solution will be appreciated!!

No one has the same problem? Maybe is a hardware problem...

Try putting the TSK file in My Documents

Strangely enough, but some work and some don't. No idea why this is.
I have attached 2 that are working. The black one goes very well with the JJ

Good question ! I don't know. I got these TSK Files at the SBSH Forum (Pocketbreeze) which I am using on my JJ.

I know this thread is pretty old now but I had a similar problem getting this to work. Try deleting the space between Black Panther, it worked for me.

I think it was with the Helmi Aku 3.2 or 3.5 ROM
don't know why, I could just select a theme but it would always be stuck on windows default.
I eventually flashed it with a newer rom, never had the problem again.

I posted before that I got this working flawlessly without worrying about editing the registry or worrying about soft resetting and so forth.

Before I start I will have to say thanks to JJ AND HIS TEAM FOR MAKING THE TOUCH ALPHA CAB + THE-EQUINOXE in the wizard forum for giving me some insight of how he got his working in the wizard forum.
1. First you need to download a rom kitchen you can use bepe or the core pro kitchen for hermes.

3. Download the-eqinoxe files from here

4. Download any rom.
so far i tested vp3g's and black magic and both works.
a. Dump the rom you are interested in.
b. Create packages WITH PACKAGE TOOL.
the equinoxe files you download you only need this file. HTC Touchflo Cube
Now this is the tricky part.
1. open the { touch.dll} folder and cut and paste the actually {{touch.dll file}}just the DLL.file itselF into your kitchen>OEM>OEMDrivers>TOUCH.DLL and overide the existing touch.dll file.
2. Put the remaining {touch.dll folder} into the OEM.
3. YOU HAVE ALREADY TAKEN THE TOUCH.DLL FILE FROM THE {{HTC Touchflo Cube}} SO PPLEASE PUT THIS FOLDER INTO THE KITCHEN OEM AS WELL.
THAT is it now build os and create rom.
After flashing back the OS onto your system install the TOUCH ALPHA CAB, IT WILL ASK FOR YOU TO RESET THE DEVICE.
1. Assign the TOUCHFLO TO ANY HARDWARE BUTTON AND WALLA YOU GOT THE CUBE WORKING FLAWLESSY.
I have been using for over two days now without any probs apart from it not working when your device is syncing, or if your ram is very low close some of your apps go into windows click on biotouch and click on touchflo button and it will work without soft resetting.
This is just my own testing and this is my first giving to the XDA family which has given me alot.
p.s just the cube which works no finger scrolling support

Likw what you said button flo but it works. i think the trick to get touch to work is in the TOUCH.DLL which needs to port in the hermes as to what they did on the french wizard rom.

So is this Buttonflo again or Touchflo?

Why do all this if you can use a cab to achieve the same results? obviously the touch.dll doesnt enable the touch interface so why do unneeded cooking and risk n00bs screwing up their phones because you tell them the hard way of doing it when all they must do is install a simple cab, restart, and it runs fine?

Pointless how? Do you have full touch capabilities? I noticed you had a bit more function the way you did it but I believe this thread is implying full function but I am lost so someone please enlighten me. Also Custel, have you made your cab available? Thanks in advance to everyone working on this.

custel y the aggression ur right I should put make sure ur device has got hard spl v7 but saying this thread is pointless is saying ur new rom is pointless as well.
Out of 10 person who install the alpha cab and just want the cube to work only about 1 including me will work for sometimes 9 out of 10 you get black interface when trying.
with this method you will never get a black screen the only thing I have seen it done is when your ram is low u have to close some of ur running programs and start biotouch and the click on touchflo again without restarting ur device.
I think this is half way through getting the full touch flo working on hermes. peace out.

I didn't know I didn't use JJ's cab, I made one and it was working fine for me then again i didnt release it so maybe I was the 1 in 10 that it worked for...

Doode. I got it work with out all that. I just flashed to magik, installed the TF alfa cab, deleted the startup bio file and deleted the registry and
BLAMMO
Touchflo-Button style.
So I don't know what you're talking about but I don't even think the finger thing will work cuz the effin screen isn't compatible

then why does it work on wizard?

Just FYI, runnin majic I just installed alpha and assigned the button and sr and its worked all day loooong with no glitches. This means I bypassed pretty much everything, no deleting in the registry or start up folder

Its not the hardware... the touch.dll is required for the finger motion stuff...

ONCE AGAIN awesome contributions from xda developers finest members thanks again ,and please nver go the evil way of not sharing your skills!!

Button Touchflo won't work after keyboard slideout
Does anyone notice once you slide out the hardware keyboard and rotate the screen back from landscape, activate button touchflo will not work...
(have to goto /windows and run biotouch again, then touchflo button again, but intermittent blank screen problem)

Worked the first time!
I got it working after a fresh install of Black Majic then I started to use Pocket IE and tried running it again it just gave me blank screen again. And I haven't had it working since and I don't want to reinstall the ROM again to just make it work and not work again. Any suggestions? I also tried soft-reset, deleting bio link and registry stuff.

A little look like Tom´s 3.7. You can keep original ROM

I made a little package with following features, you can use all of it on your WM6 Original ROM without Problems...
1. Black Theme with Toms Background
2. Kaisers HTC Home Plugin (this one is in english)
3. PHM Try (is not needed cause you have your own) If you want to play with this tool, look for wizard in this Forum and PHMtray
4. New Style CommManager ( Ithink it switches it self to english)

If you want your phone run faster, than dont install the Comm Manager. I think also the comm Manager has got some bugs. ( I couldn´t start Wlan on mine)

Yes, i experienced the same!
WLAN IS NOT STARTABLE
and the new Manager is VERY SLOW!

The WLAN button is configurable, you just need to search through the registry for the entry for your WLAN adaptor and change the action of the button to that. BAsically it has the wrong code (the one from a wizard\hermes if I'm not mistaken) so the link is invalid hence doesn't work. Its only a 5 digit code or similar from memory. It shouldn't be slower tho, I'd be tempted to find another installer as I've as yet to come across a slow Comm Manager. HTC Home plugin yes, but not the comm manager.
With regards to PHM Tray, yes windows does have its own try by default but it is no where as easy to configure. This app is very useful for a lot of people.

usbtopc popup on xperia?

Hope someone can help me with this. I know usbtopc wasn't working on the x1 for a long time. But I saw this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=500823&highlight=usbtopc+popup it's a bit old but it says usbtopc is working on the x1. So I first downloaded usbtopc(found it in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427956) after that installed the fix cab from the other thread. But still it doesn't work. Got an option in the settings menu but when connecting a usb cable to the phone there is no popup or something. So what am I doing wrong? Thought i'm using the wrong version of usbtopc cab, but I can't find another one.
The rom i'm using is: Windows Mobile 6.5 for the XPERIA X1 - PURE ROM by gtrab(great rom btw)

I have seen that problem solved some time ago in some of the ROMs I have been testing.
I am now using one of Wild Child's latest and not only is fast and stable but also has that USB to Popup working like a charm.

I think I have managed to get it work with the x1 USBtoPC.exe... Attaching the cab (my first cab ever)... I think this should work on all non rhodium/topaz/blackstone adapted roms and on stock x1 roms... Only problem you will find is the font - the popup will appear in courier font. I have removed cour.ttf from my custom rom so I don't face that problem.
Do let me know if this cab works. Other cookers can see the registry modifications I have done.

I had big problems with USBtoPC.exe from Topaz/Rhodium/Blackstone ... it just did not work in disc drive mode... kept saying I do not have a storage card... did anyone else face that problem?

Great work will test it soon. And about the storage card problem I think the first link in my first post is a solution to that, not sure but you can check it out.

I have been through both the links you have posted before coming up with the cab... And I use the x1 USBtoPC.exe which works perfectly

Nice it works But is there a change the popup can be made as full screen or just a popup with transparent background(no background). Because there is a little screen glitch at the bottom now.

Yes it is, just put my backup back so its fine now. But maybe it was just me because it couldn't be uninstalled through windows so I used sktools to uninstall it. That worked fine but the storage card disappeared lol

Am using stock R3AA. The 'Ask about connection type when I connect' checkbox appears in my USB to PC settings, but even when checked the popup doesn't appear.

*EzInput 2.1 now installable (not on the UC folder)... instructions below.
*Added newer version of cleanRAM (2.0)
*NF Browser (in UC folder, so if you don't like it, simply take it out)

Installation Notes:
Your device must be unlocked for this to work. If you don't know how to unlock it, there is a link on my signature with a guide on how to do this. Also, this is only for the HTC Vogue - which is a CDMA device (no SIM card). It will NOT work for any device that doesn't fall under this. Not sure if you have a Vogue? Go to the WIKI and find out. I am not responsible for damage to your device (not that anything should happen, but legal disclaimers are meant for the "what ifs" )
Drop the XDA_UC folder located in the rar file onto the root of your SD card. Flash and soft reset. The UC process will start upon second boot. You can add/remove any cabs that you want to (or not want) so that the system will install them automatically.
CDMA Weather Fix:
Select the weather in your city in the Manila tab prior to installing this fix. Once it is selected, install and soft reset.

Good rom, sped is very good, and stable. Minor problems with menus when trying to add programs to Manilla Launcher.GPS is FAST!! The fastest I've seen. Been running for 1/2 day and no real problems. Kudos Dude!

Great ROM, performance is one of the best, it is a good idea for the power users to customize and choose the needed apps for themselves (even though this ROM already has lots of nice apps preinstalled), but for lazy people like me, it is a bit work to install lots of things (like the input methods) and the HTC 2DManila, etc. Still customizing the ROM and testing, but so far, very impressive. Thanks!

btw, BT PAN is not working for this version. In imported the registry entry I exported from NFSFAN's ROM and it worked again.

Glad you like it. I have tried adding and removing programs from the launcher and have had no issues whatsoever (speed-wise, that is). Can you elaborate on the menus issue a bit to see if I can reproduce it?

Is that the cab that you posted in LMiller's thread? If so (and with your permission, that is) I would like to include it in my UC folder.

Well, I will see if I can cook EzInput (or at least drop it in the UC folder) since I changed something in the shared modules and I think that may be the reason why it is working now. M2D does not have to be manually installed. It will do it by itself upon second boot. In fact, you do not need to install anything in the UC folder at all, it will all install itself as long as you put the XDA_UC folder in the root of the SD card as per my instructions.

By mega dialer fixed do you mean you got rid of that annoying scrollbar???
I keep going back to NFSFAN's V1.00 due to the dialer, I don't like the standard wm dialer, but I also can't stand the stupid scrollbar that appears with the others in 6.5.X builds................this thing is primarily a phone after all!!!!!!!!! ((at least I use it at that now and then)

Since NFS, WDM, and Vin stopped development I've started experimenting again, that may include my own ROMs (did that until I tried NFSFAN's Bell Rom back in the early 6.1 days and figured I couldn't beat the big boys).
Great work on both your ROM's by the way, but I wouldn't mind trying the fix on my own concoction (is that a word????) as well!!!!!!!

Is anyone aware of a .cab (or something) to restore the Block Recognizer if it wasn't included in a cooked ROM?

I believe there is one (I can't recall where though). Do a search on the site (or Google) and it should come out. If I can find it, I will post it.
