Dear All,
I'm stuck with this XDA Stealth, and guess I need help from you people.
How can I enter Bootloader Mode on XDA Stealth? ( I can enter engineering mode, but can't see any option to enter Bootloader i.e. tri-color screen).
I'm unable to upgrade ROM on this device because of the following reasons.
1. I upgraded WM6.1, and found that Active Sync won't work unless patched.
2. The display's touch screen is defective so after up ROM Upgrade, I'm stuck at align screen, further, the phone is not getting detected in windows as there is this patch required for the ROM.
3. I don't have miniSD reader and also I don't think the car works properly.
So, is there any way to enter the bootloader mode and get the device detected under windows so that I can upgrade again?
wbr
Sonny
For active synch problem, try this
go to setting..connections...usb to pc and uncheck this one
and connect again ....hope this will help
I'm stuck on Align Screen due to bad display. I cannot connect to Active Sync due to bad/cooked ROM.
This is Catch 22
Is there any way to unbrick this phone.

Dear all,

STUCK RELEASE!?!?!
Well.very easy for start.
ROM Upgrade Failure
It is possible, in a very small number of ROM upgrades, that the upgrade could fail. The following are workarounds to get the device working and upgraded.
Device stuck in 'Bootloader' mode
When this happens the device screen will be blank except for the words:
Serial v 1.00a
The word [Serial] should change to [USB] when the cradle is plugged into the PC, and the version number below this will vary. When you get this screen, a soft or hard reset will not make any difference.
It is still possible to run the ROM upgrade file again, without using Activesync (Activesync will not restart anyway).
• Firstly unplug the USB cradle and reboot the PC
• Plug the cradle back into the USB port (this must plug directly into the USB port and not into a USB Hub / adaptor).
• Now run the ROM upgrade file again from the PC. This should just run as per normal and correctly reflash the device.
If it is still not working, try this
• Press & hold the power button
• Press & hold the Backlight button
• Push the stylus into the soft reset hole - until you see the word [Serial] on the screen.
• You should now be able to follow the upgrade process above for a device stuck in Bootloader mode.
It work for me,goodluck

My device is up & running again. Thanks

I have my device unlocked already and have done many ROM upgrades before, this time my PC froze half way throught the upgrade. The device turns on and gets stuck on the T-mobile screen. It doesnt connect to active sync i cant even get Dashv2unlock to detect my device. Please help somebody.
from what i've read before about this type of issue (somewhat), try removing the battery and SIM for a few minutes, then replace and reboot and see if active sync recognizes it now.
if this info is no longer valid, I apologize.
I think you need to have your phone in bootloader mode and then flash again. Make sure the phone is off, and while holding down the camera key (to the right of the space key), connect the USB cable to your phone. The tri color bootloader screen should appear on your S620. Now run the upgrade file on your PC again.
Let us know how it goes....
im able to get to the tri color screen but when i start any Rom upgrade it gets to 3 percent and fails. I have also tried the SP-1.11 upgradeonly.exe and also the Dashv2Unlocker that i have paid for. Nothing
during a ROM flash (rom build with romkitchen), the flash procedure hangs with the "5 minutes..." notification. After a softreset i still get the "5 minutes" screen.
After this disaster, I'am not able to boot in to the bootloader screen anymore. Before this hangup, there was no problem to boot to the bootloader screen.
I reboot my XDA (wallaby) with "press the powerbutton en the resetswitch". The xda reboots, does not show the bootloader screen, but shows right away the "5 minute..." screen.
I have already tried the tool "pnewbootloader" without any result.
Activesync does regonize my anymore, says: not connected.
Is there a way the restore/rebuild/re-flash the bootloader on my XDA (qtek 1010) wallaby?
Thanks in advange.
Greetings
Patrick
Today i have tried to connect to my XDA (wallaby) with "mtty".
when i place my xda in the cradle, mtty is able to connect, but there is no "USB>" prompt.
When i take the xda out the cradle, mtty is unable to essablish an USB-connection. So i am sure that mtty is able to connect to the XDA, but only with out a promt. Due to that i am not able to send commands to the xda.
I also found the JTAG solution, but i'am not an electric expert (i am no good in solder). So the JTAG is no option for me.
I anyone has a solution i would be very thankfull.
greetings,
Patrick
Help pls i have olinex 1.40 hardspl in but my phone is stuck in bootloader with "upgrade ROM code error Please try again" i cant get out...tried hard reset nothing...tried recovery mode (volume down + reset ) nothing...cant get a usb connection help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
are you sure you don't have usb connection? try running an ruu with usb plugged in see if it runs. it sounds like you tried to flash a radio from another device. try flashing a new radio.

lmao now i know..i was coming from an elfin, not used to diamond as of yet but now i know
Bootloader bottom says "serial" but wont switch to "usb"
Perhaps this is a known issue but I could not find the solution easily and ended up discovering it myself so wanted to share it in case others face the same.
I was try to use the mtty software to "clean" my touch diamond in an effort to get rid of some bugs in macadam 1.2 rom [great rom, by the way].
I had disabled the usb connections in active sync on my laptop [mac running windows xp in bootcamp]
I could enter bootloader easily but the bottom part of the multicolor screen kept saying "serial" and would not switch to "usb" when I connected the phone to the laptop.
What finally worked was ensuring that the phone was set for "activesync" rather than use as a "disk drive" or "internet sharing". I had assumed, wrongly, that once in bootloader the last selected option [disk drive] would be irrelevant.
So I exited the bootloader by pressing the reset key; connected phone to pc via cable; selected the active sync option; disconnected the phone; entered bootloader, connected the phone via cable again and the bottom of the bootloader changed to usb and I was able to use mtty successfully.
I wonder if this has implications for people stuck with bad flashes etc. In my case I could easily exit the bootloader and go back and select 'activesync' from the working phone. One could also hard reset if a working rom was on the phone...
BUT If one is stuck with the option of only the bootloader, would it matter on what the last selected option was [active sync or use as usb disk drive or internet sharing]?

This doesn't make any difference. When you're stuck in bootloader just plugin your USB and the display will state "USB" as well. You can flash a rom at this point.

Hi!
Not sure if that works but if this is your first time to flash the drivers to recognize your device in bootloader mode needs to be installed which takes some time.
Try to put your device into bootloader mode (keep VolDown pressed during reset) than plug in USB. Diamond screen at bottom will change from Serial to USB if recognized and device drivers installed.
Now start up ROM Update and perform flash. You should MTTY before every flash.

Cina.
