i have thist problem i flahed w/ dutty 3.3 and after i flahed i do a hard reset, then when the device start it dosent show me te internal storage of 4gb, the diamond isnt coneted to a pc and i have flashed w/ diferents roms and i conected to a pc as a disk drive but windwos give and error "windows cannot conect to the device" i have do a hard reset and select the option to clean moviNAND and go to settings clear storage and nothing.... i read in other forums something similar but w/ sprints phone and spring have a hotfix but it dosent work in my gsm phone

I have an xda ii with a wm6.1 rom and i am using vista on my laptop.
I noticed my main hard drive on my mobile (if thats what you call it) was getting full. I have installed most of my programs on the RAM and STORAGE card though...
So I thought maybe I should reinstall the ROM and install them again but making sure ALL programs are installed on the storage card which is 2GB.
First of all thank you to everyone that helps... I appreciate the amount of posts you get one here.
The problem I am having is that I am running out of space to install a few programs even though I have a 2GB card and installing the programs on my card. Not the main device.
I tried restarting from scratch and went into boot mode - shows serial - then connected to the cradle and it shows USB but windows device manager (i have vista) does not show it as connected. If i reset and load wm6.1 it connects str8 away. Couldn't work out why but decided to go back to uninstalling the programs i had installed.
So I then uninstalled all programs so there is space, then reinstalled all onto storage card. The storage card is 2GB.
Even though I'm installin them on my storage card everytime i install a program (not many) a little bit of the main hard drive is used. Now it seems the hard drive is full. So basically im not not able to install a program i need cos its full.
How can I use my 2GB storage card or work around this I have been installing to it but it still is taking up space on my main device harddrive.
Is there a way to uninstall programs that came with the rom?
In short, I have space on my card but seems not on my main server. Can I work around this?>

I have last night install the latest rom for Diamond. after the install i will make ard reset but didnt work. and i dont find find my memory (not the internal the 4 gb memory). If i will do hard reset my phone says USB TRIGGER and ENTER USB...If i will copy the rom to my internal memory my phone says i have no enough memory...
What can i do? The biggest problem is my memory (4gb)...

You can try to do Hard Reset by the Clear Memory that is in the parameters.
If you don't see your Internal Storage that is because your Rom is bad. Flash it with another official rom.

If you can put ur phone in bootloader moder tricolour screen try flashing an official rom again.
That message ur seeing with usb trigger mode seems to be when your going to flash a rom through internal storage method. So not quite sure why ur device is showing this during reset

The way it worked for me:
I used an Ubuntu disk, run it from disk(without install), then goe to Gparted and on the right up corner choose the disk from you diamond, formatit and then Unmount de disk from the pda and you are ready to go.

i know what happen.. when pc to usb, if u se 2nd option(i forget about the text), your internal storage won't be readable via file manager. u have to chose opt no 1.. which is pc sync.

well the phone itself works fine but i tried to put music on it via WMDC and it deleted or corrupted the internal memory which the phone cannot find it says internal storage not installed. any roms with a fix for this problem?
Have you tried connecting the phone to a windows PC to see if you can see the internal storage that way?
You don't give us much to go on, to try and help you. The more info about your phone and what you did / have done would be good.
Ok this is everything.i have a HTC Touch Diamond 3G. I added music via WMDC and it did. i then went onto my phone and saw that none of the files were there. i then went to Settings-Memory and saw that it said that no storage card was installed. i tried about 40 times to try and get it to connect via Disk Drive and it never showed up. so then i did a soft reset and hard reset and still nothing. i then went online and saw that this guy had cooked the Internal memory hotfix priovided by HTC into a rom but when i tried to download the hotfix it it said that it is not compatible with my device. i then came here and noticed that you can cook hotfixes to the roms and im looking for one. thats about it. Any ideas on how i can get the memory back?

Did you know that when you connect your phone to your PC, that you have the option to have "faster file transfer" ? When you select this option, it disables the phone from accessing the internal storage. Try disconnecting your phone from your pc then try again!
i know it wont display it on the device but it should display it on the PC and it doesn't.

After the instalation complete the phone turn on normaly everything is working good.
the only problem is the phone lost all photos,music,and videos i got there.

but the problem is they dont detect the internal memory of the HOX.
after uptade to jelly bean when i plug the usb cable dont appear like in ICS for choose to charge or to hard disk.
so how to solve this?

did you looked on pc also...? it can also be that you must update htc sync because of the mtb thingy.....second should be look for an sd speed app..and set it to 128 instead of most 2048.....
if that also fail...the data should be gone...maybe a wipe script that also wiped sd card or something like this

and in the phone if i go to settings and storage on the bottom said USB Storage device is not available.

yes htc sync is updated and the cwm is 5.8.4.0.

so from that side all ok...if you are in a file explorer...and go to sd..you see something...? if yes..try to mount from clockwork...if not work...try to copy the files with adb

When you mount the USB mass storage in recovery you have to stay on that screen or it will auto-unmount. Once you've done that load up Recuva from Piriform and scan for the phones storage on the pc.
