Increase volume - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I have FUZE and the ringing volume (any notification) is terrible. I increased the in call volume and have been googling for an hour looking for the registry keys to increase alarm, sms, phone ringer, etc. and can't find them. Can anyone help? I can't even hear my phone if it is the other side of the room.

pls change bell , or take it out and check with battery of 1.5v, if it does not work, pls change.

Volume on XDAlls

I have just gotten this phone and have unlocked it after following the top notch info here by Itsme and others! My question is to see if anyone knows how to increase the inbound phone volume on this phone. I have used the slider on the speaker icon and still not loud enough. Thanks in advance!!
Hi...
I know this is silly, but if u mean in call phone volume,so have u tried raising the volume while in call...
RAGO
Tried that . Somewhere I read that there was a fix for the low volume and I can't find it , even tried the search.............
I have this problem when on my MDA III. The only way to get a decent ringtone volume so far is to move both sliders (from the command bar) to maximum. But then the screen taps and button presses are way too loud.
I'll keep looking for the fix... :?

Ring volume too low..

Hey guys,
I hope I'm not the only one, but for all of you that have an "ORIGINAL" ring sound, is it low when you receive a call?
I have the ring volume at MAX and I'm using a "office ring" ringtone, but it's just soooo low and can barely be heard when placed in a holder and in my pocket.
When I searched this forum, I found this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=581477&highlight=ring+volume . Could this really be the cause of the problem? I do in fact have vibrate and ring, but I use the custom "av1pr" sequence that people from the Jade threads mentioned.
Hopefully there's a solution! Thanks!
ok i did a lot of testing and found out the vibrate has nothing to do with the ring volume
the system sound volume seems to be controlling the ring volume even when i separate the volume controls (one for ring, one for system).
i dont like the system sound loud, but i have no choice because the ring is very very low even at 100%
any of you guys have this problem or know a fix?
thanks
For a past phone, I had copied the ringer sound file that I liked to my PC, used a free audio recording/editing program and re-recorded the sound with a louder volume. Then, I copied the new sound file back to the phone and pointed the phone to it.

Thanks guys for the help.
I actually used the "registry" fix from the link, but where could I find a program that could increase the volume of a sound clip?
My sound is still a bit low.
I used the "Sound Recorder" which comes with Windows.

Adjusting Dialer volume...It's doable...but I don't know how...

Alright, so, I noticed at one point that the dialer volume was really low, and I didn't mind it one bit...because I was looking for a way to get it to lower. Now it's back to normal...and I'm back to finding a way, has anyone else experienced their dialer volume being different at times? What did you do before or after the change?
When I installed SWITCHPRO...it lets you go into the info secion (free one even) and then click on the volume icon and the you can change the system volumes here. That's how I do it....

Uhm...wouldn't that just increase/decrease the ringer volume? I understood that he wanted to change the sound of the system clicks/beeps/sounds.

Download audio manager from the market then adjust system volume
Sent from my unrEVOked using xda app
Right I know there are tools for this, but I did it without any tools at all...I'm pretty sure it wasn't coming out of the speaker on the back...but softly out of the ear piece.

Problem with ringtone volume

Hi people,
I just bought HTC ONE (M8) 6 days ago. I have big problem and HTC support dont know help me, only I must use warranty, but I cant be 30 days without phone.
My problem is that I increase volume to max with volume button and I will put phone on the table. Somebody will call me I pick up the phone and make call and after phone call my volume is down and if somebody will call me again my ringtone is down maybe on 10%. Again I increase volume up with volume button and same things happened to me... Sometimes I have ringtone to maximum 3 hours without change and sometime every 20 - 30 minutes phone will change down ringtone...
Please do you know somebody how I can fix this problem?
I tried factory settings but nothing happend...
Heeeeeelp me please
have you tried disabling 'quiet ring on pickup' in sound settings?
Yes I am tried turn off everything. But maybe I found what was wrong - I turn off motion gestures and all ringtones are 100% after all tests, incoming calls.
If somebody find some better solution I will very happy cause I wanna use motion gestures.
Thx

Work around(s) for enabling top speaker for ringtones / notifications?

I as well as many other previous Nexus 6p owners have been noticing that ringtones / notifications only come out of the bottom speaker of the Pixel 2 XL. The irony of this is that any app besides the "Settings" app has all sound coming out of both speakers. Is there a program / workaround anyone knows of? I don't care if I have to root my phone; I want to use my dual front facing speakers!
Thanks,
~Mike
Too bad this apparently is not considered a bug, its just how its suposed to work. In my opinion its pretty dumb not to allow both speakers on incoming calls/notifications from Google.
I'm getting sounds out of both speakers when my phone rings. Not sure if this happened before I updated to 8.1, but I don't think so. Tested it with more than one ringtone, stock and custom. Now, my problem is the screen won't come on when the phone rings. I hope an update to the phone app fixes this soon.
Yes my also only the bottom one firing. Any solution?
Bumping this up, any solution?
Can someone please make a mod to enable dual speakers for ringtones?
Currently.. i am studying about sound mod on pixel 2 oreo 8.1.
My main objective is to fix the crackling issue.. btw.. i will look into this one too

I use a Tasker profile to get around this issue. Basically, I monitor the status of calls, and when the phone is ringing, I play my ringtone as media. Then as soon as the call is answered or ignored (offhook or idle), the exit task stops the media. I just set my actual ringtone in settings to "none". Other than that, it behaves exactly like a ringtone should. My task also matches the media volume to the ringtone volume while ringing, then restores the previous media volume setting. That way, if your phone is on vibrate, it won't still ring out loud. I can do a detailed write up on how I did it if anyone needs it.

That sounds like a great idea that I'd like to try. Can you please share that profile?
Like I said in other posts, sound does come out of both speakers with calls and notifications. When you're choosing a sound in settings, it does indeed only come out of the bottom speaker. I can't believe I'm the only one who has sounds coming out of both speakers when a call comes in. I've tested it with multiple sounds, too.

Confused with what you are saying. Are you saying that when you choose a ringtone in settings you no longer have it coming out of only the bottom speaker?

Yes. It only comes out of the bottom speaker when I'm picking the sound. When someone calls, I hear it from both speakers. I've tried this with both custom and system sounds.

I have attached my prj.xml I have literally never shared a Tasker project so I hope this is sufficient! If you have any questions, let me know!

Thanks a lot! I've only used profiles and tasks in Tasker before, but your project imported just fine. All I had to do was change your task's ringtone to mine and set my phone's ringtone to none. Now to wait for someone to call me.

Yes it does and it's great! I figured out how to test it by calling my cell phone from Google Voice/Hangouts on my PC.

ccoulterjg1 - please provide detailed instructions on how to get tasker profile to resolve the issue of the ring volume using the ring speaker configuration instead of the media speaker configuration, which should resolve the issue, as media volume is quite loud and ring volume is not (I need to be able to hear my phone ring when I am sleeping, and on-call).
