Alarm tone as Ringtone? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Specifically Alarm4 that comes default with WM6. How can I make that the ringtone? I've searched through the phone and can't find the alarm4 file to copy over. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Let me know if this is the one, put it in your /applications data/sounds folder

Search in :\Windows

Yes, that's the one. Thanks!
I've seriously searched on my phone in just about every folder and still can't find it. Really strange. I'm also using VP3G's 3.0 so I guess he had hidden the default sounds somewhere.

I dont know if you can use .wma's for that, you may nee to convert them to .mp3 or .wav,,,,You may try and drop them in the \application data\sounds folder.
Thanks Pudge! Got it by dropping em in App Data\Sounds
I wonder if there's a master table somewhere of where sounds for various things need to go. I know some sounds can be in My Documents, others in Windows, etc. Add to that that you can't use certain formats for certain events and it gets downright confusing.
all i know is if you drop your sound files in the application data/sounds folder
any customization of sounds can be done if they are in that folder. As far as the types of audio file formats you can use, i really dont know the extent of what you can and cant use. Although it seems that .mp3's, .wav's and .wma's work when editing your profiles, other restrictions are true when editing other things, such as startup-shutdown tones (.wav only) as well as other restrictions that i can't think of off the top of my head.

Any links where you can get these sounds from?
I liked the ones in the rose rom but had to flash back to kavanas because of my weak little battery. Ill go back as soon as I can get a 12 volt car battery wired up to it.

Text Notes

I have Kavanas newest rom installed on my dash, just updated it from his first one. I miss the "Text Notes" app on there, i like the ability to quickly jot stuff down on my phone and this program was number one. Kinda like the "Voice Notes" app ... You guys get what i'm trying to say? Ha... Anyways, Can anyone that can point me in the direction of where i can download the cab file? Thank you.
Here you go.
Not a cab but just drop the contents in the windows folder.

How to set individual contact ringtones?

I'm using the Kavana 6.1 ROM, and of course, I love it. However, one problem I've run into, is I can't seem to find a way to set contact-specific ringtones. Wondering if it's possible in this rom.
Also, does the rom support 8gb sd cards? I've googled the subject quite a bit and found mixed answers.
just go to your contact name then edit it scroll down and look for the custom ringtone assignment. hope this help.

They have to be in the Phone memory and not on the sim, same goes for attaching pics to contacts
No. After installing Kavana's 6.1 ROM, I no longer have that option in contact setting. Only name, number, and number type.
They have to be in the Phone memory and not on the sim
thats odd, because i've flash my dash from rom of one version to another but i dont have that problem.

[Q] ringtones

i was going through a friends phone today and was really diggin the ringtones and alerts on the touch pro2. anyone have an easy way to get these so i can use them on a droid? thanks.
they're .wav files in his \Windows folder, ask him to copy them for you & you'll probably have to convert to mp3 or whatever the droid uses for its sounds.

Ringtone for textmessages

Hi all,
I have a question:
I tried to use a mp3 for ringtone of my incoming textmessages.
Putting it in the Windows directory normally does the trick.
I will probably have to convert the mp3 to an other format.
Can anyone help me out?
Please don't tell me to use search.
Have just tried that for half an hour now.
Thanks in advance.

I think you need to convert the file to a .WAV file and drop it into the windows folder in file explorer then go back into sounds and notifications and select the ring tone for SMS.
There are plenty of programs that will convert this just google '.MP3 to .WAV converter'
