Looks like WM6.1 standard, therefore it's not available on a 6.1 professional device...

Hi all..
I checked the thread dealing with changing the looks of WM5 to resemble WM6 here, but the actual theme doesn't have the cool glass effect I really like on WM6 roms.
Is there a way to get that glass effect on WM5 (or more specifically on a Trinity )??

Yes, I'm also interested in this. A lot of us have WM5 devices that may not get official WM6 upgrades but the glass effect looks pretty cool.
only way i know of is to use wisbar advance and use one of the wm6 themes from that.

Hmmm... I really wonder why.. Is it that difficult to add transparency and similar effects to the top bar?? Is it a limitation of the WM5 themes formats??
The whole idea was not to use 3rd party applications, but simply use a regular WM5 theme to resemble the WM6 glass ones.

It have nothing to do with theme.
UI elements drawing (top bar included ) is coded into GWES subsystem. Theme on PockedPCs contain only colors for bar.
And so goes the dependency - WM6 bars are drawn with WM6 GWES, WM6 GWES depends on WM6 coredll, WM6 coredll depends on WM6 kernel.
So to get this cool-looking glass effect you will need the whole WM6 on your device. Is this hard? Yes.

This is on WM5, i have install it on my qtek 8300, and work and look great
This is just a theme for WM Smartphone.
It works only on smartphones without touchscreen, and even there it does not skin the top & bottom bars everywhere.
Hmm, Ingvarr, the aygshell draws bars, not gwes. with 5.2 kernel wm6 gwes works on wm5)) but aygshell has different ordinals then wm5 and it will not work with wm5
I actually found a method, there's a small app in german which changes the WM5 top and bottom bars to resemble the WM6 ones..
It's quite buggy, but does the job nicely.
I'll post it later.

Sorry, my mistake. Still, it will end with the need of kernel replacement, and even more - no minor feat.
Btw "wm5 with 5.2 kernel" is technically not wm5 anymore
i just saw the demo of the TouchFLO software for the HTC Touch.
Does anybody know if this also will work on the Artemis?
And is it already available?

no it's not possible on the artemis cause they use a differend kind a touchscreen.
but i really like the shortcutscreen with pictures to dial. i hope someone can make it available for the artemis
spb mobile shell has a pic dialer
there's a file called todayphoto.cab i think, that's a home screen plugin where you can just touch the picture to initiate a call. has limitations, but works

Ich you think of Apples Multitouch: HTC Touch doesn't have it.
I have been shown a bandango video of an S200 working flawessly with touchflo interface.

If touchflo runs on a S200 screen, it should run also on artemis
What i dont know is if it would run only under WM6, or also under WM5
Hi, I've just had a quick look at the Elf/Touch on youtube, very very nice. So it has finger scrolling of all lists kinda like Larna's iContacts. I just downloaded a rom dump from the touch and it looks like if I had any idea at all what I was looking at there might be a dll or an exe or something else that could just be copied into my orbit so I could have that lovely scroll thing, Yeah and the contacts app looks really good as well. The animated launcher cube looked nice but spb mobile shell comes close at least in a utilitarian way in functionality.
The rom dump was dead easy to find by searching in the Elf forum. Would be nice if a brain could have a sniff through it.

This looks like it installs its own custom interface and doesn't use the touch cube. Is this correct?

Guys this program is a memory whore, takes like 4 megs of ram, not ideal at all for anyone getting email from an exchange server or people using active sync.
It works. The config can be a bit tedious and you'll need to get some better icons (see the hermes thread referenced above), but it pretty smooth. It does seem to slow down over time though and your screen gets fingerprinty but it works as advertised.

Yes, it works on Hermes.
Click the cab to start the install.
It works like TouchFLO Cube.

Just to clarify some aspects.
the application is not the touchflo inself
the touchflo is finger scroll in all applications , so you dont use stylus, touchflo substitute the scroll bars.

If this flashflo is just for the Cube, it is not the real touchflo because it can't finger scroll in wm6 anywhere
Good application, sadly isnt touchFLO, but none the less I see more of this kind of application spawning. HTC have created a monster with touchFLO.

Head of to the themes and apps section, in the thread, customising the touch flo the collection, theres lots of apps for this at the bottom, i suggest touchflo 3d config program

I just tried Windows Mobile 6.5, and although I personally found it too sluggish for my Artemis, I *loved* the larger buttons, it's a lot more fingerfriendly.
Now I'm back at 6.1 (Yue to be precise) and I was wondering if there's some program or something to enlarge the bottom buttons?
It would make me a happy man.
I've searched the Artemis forums and especially the brilliant "Customize your rom - cab-collection"-thread, but wasn't able to find anything (apart from the "larger start menu").
Does anyone have an interesting suggestion where to look?
I dont think it was possible ... I have used to wm6.5 of Shady Kitchen (original microsoft version - czech) and i was satisfied so much.
