Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way of turning off Auto Volume Leveling off for listening to music?
Its a real pain. I noticed it a little bit when listening to music on my headphones it kept on dimming to volume on the louder bits of my rock music however I have now plugged it into my hifi to listen to some nice loud music and it keeps getting really quite and loud again and it is so annoying!
+1 AVL is one of the silliest inventions ever... if music was supposed to keep an even volume, they would've produced it thus! grrrr...
lol completly agree, doesn't even work very well because its jumping all over the place.
I can understand it to prevent damage to the speaker but its useless. If that was the case it shouldnt be active when plugged into headphones or other external speakers.
Getting annoyed at this Android now theres stupid things missing or wrong about it!
I carried my HTC Desire in my pocket on a walk, when I looked at it at the end there was some moisture under the screen. I left it in rice over night and it switched on fine the next day.
Now, I can't hear people speak when they call, Music plays very very tinny and I think the speaker might need replacing? When I plug headphones in, I can hear music and voices fine.
How hard is it to replace the speaker and will this likely solve my problem? Is this something I can do myself with the £5 parts and tools from ebay? I have had the phone just under 18 months in the UK and wondered if anyone knew whether this was covered under HTC warranty?
Thanks
Tom
Update: Sound does appear to be playing through the speaker when watching videos/in apps, just I can't hear voices from a phone call unless I plug headphones in. I can't work out if the speaker sounds quite as loud as it used to, but it doesn't sound too bad (it was never great in the first place!) So does anyone know why I can't hear the voices in the call?
Thanks,
Tom
Hello,
I have a strange problem with my Galaxy Nexus.
When I hear sound with my headphone with the screen turned on it sound perfect but as soon as I turn (or the Galaxy Nexus turn by itself) the screen off the sound go bad. It sound like there is some kind of "electric" sound or like when you have a broken wire on your headphone. I have tried with two headphones, two hi-fi stereos and in my car and it always sound the same.
Can someone help me?
Thanks you!
Is anyone else having a issue with people being able to hear you while you have the phone to your ear? When i have my phone to my ear and i talk no one can hear me but they can hear me when its on speakerphone. Also they can hear me when i have headsets or Bluetooth plugged in. Not sure if its broken or what its causing it to act this way.
I have a problem with my microphone as well. It sounds really quiet and has a lot of background noise. PM me a sample of it recorded with the sound recorder app and I'll send you a sample.
I'm going to RMA mine and hopefully get one without the problem (and the one dead ****ing pixel I have, ugh)

Hello there everyone i have had my Sammy Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210R for 2-3 years now and there seems to be a major problem with it.
Every time i want to listen to my music with my ear phones or headphones with them plugged into the headphone jack the sound is perfect for a little bit but then you can hear the audio crackle every now or then. It also lags quite badly sometimes too. Another problem is that it decides to stop playing my music randomly whenever it wants too. I use the Stock Sammy Music app btw. The volume also turns down on it's own for no reason. These are issues im experiencing and a reboot won't fix it. I returned the tab to stock unrooted firmware but it still has the same problems. Could there be a problem with the headphone jack? Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
This is a very simple part to replace. Remove the rear cover, 2 screws from this jack, then install the new one. Take less than 5 minutes
