Yup, easy!
Using File Explorer go to Windows/Start Menu, then either into Programs or Settings and simply delete the lnk files for the program icons that you want to lose. Alternatively you can create a folder in either Programs or Settings called say, "Others" and cut and paste all the disused lnk files into it. This way you don't lose all the original links (sometimes hard to recreate them all, if you need them subsequently!).
thanks
thanks ... this is what i used from xda community.
fast and right answer
i got my answer, thread can be closed.

Hi,
I'm trying to build a 6.5 ROM and the settings icon doesn't appear in the start menu and I've searched and found that I need to edit
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\Startinfo\
Modify the "HideSettings" from 1 to 0
but I can't find this registry entry in Ervius so could someone please tell me how to find it in the kitchen please.
Thanks.

just create a new folder into any of EXT folder packages .. and create a new Text file .. open it and edit these keys :
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\[COLOR="Red"]XXXX.lnk[/COLOR]]
"Icon"="\\Windows\\[COLOR="Red"]yyyyy.png[/COLOR]"
change XXXX.INK to your app name, and ( yyyy.png ) to your PNG image name
now save the text file and Rename it to ( app.reg )
Could you tell me what I should put for the default icon please.
What should XXXX.ink be?
What should YYYY.png be?
I don't want any custom icons just the original for settings please.
Hi every one and thanks for sparing time to check my post
If someone could direct me on how can i extract a slider or staus bar from a rom as a cab file i would be thankfull.
I tried looking, but, no use i could not find the answer.
I tried oskitchen, but, it only opens original roms, but, when i try to open any cooked rom, it says " cannot extract from IMGFS "
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

When it says "Can't extract files or build packages from IMGFS structure. Please make sure the ROM is not corrupted, that it's an original ROM update released by the manufacturer and not an user-generated ROM." don't click OK and leave the messagebox open, go in the kitchen Temp folder and search for *.cab files to find them.

The taskbar icons are replaced using custom bitmaps and resource dlls some of which set trough registry entries while the manila slider instead is replaced with _manila files so the only thing you can do is finding files by hand and it's actually pretty messy to get them out of a cooked ROM. You can find out some of the file names by taking some cab to customize the taskbar and the slider and converting them to OEM with CAB2OEM so you'll have the destination file names to search in the dump folder of the ROM.
Another trick I can suggest is to sort the files in the ROM dump by date (both creation and last modified) because usually those files are obtained from CABs converted with CAB2OEM and could potentially have similar dates if those have not been stripped by the kitchen.
Thank you for your help
Really appreciate your time replying to my post
I will work on the suggestion.
Best regards
