My Universal's Customized Extended ROM

Many people are asking me what I throw into my Extended ROM since I play around with tweaks and CAB files. Well, I decided to finalize most of it and make it available for public consumption.
Mind you, I have a Qtek 9000 (Universal) which I flashed to the JASJAR CE ROM which appears to be more stable, O2 XDA Exec Radio ROM, and the mix of CAB files from various devices plus my own concoction.

how do i undo this cab? when I click my start button and close it I get a ghost of the bottom half of the menus stay on screen...pls HELP :?

How flash from spv m5000 to jasjar ROM
Hello, I think I understand and apreciate your explain. but firstly I have to remove from the extended rom the .cab from orange and to add your files .cab, and then to make a hard reset. so after that my spv m 5000 will change to jasjar. sorry but I don't understand if with this files that we have to inserted in the extended rom will change my spv m5000 to imate jasjar. could you explain me that?

hey, can any one pls help. I really don't want to do a hard reset again...Spent alot of time getting eveything set up nicely. I need to know what reg setting I need to change to undo the cab i installed above!!! :shock:

This will return the GlyphCache to 2000H (8192 bytes), the standard.

Just a small question: how can I modify the file Default_Unsigned_Regional_USA.sa to change the regional to Australia? Of course, if regional is Australia, the date format is dd MMM yy

I had to search for the particular keys that get changed, then set them in the CAB file.
Since I don't remember offhand what keys get changed, you can try opening the CAB file with OCP WinCE CAB Manager (www.ocpsoftware.com) then look in the Registry section for the keys and values.
Next, go ahead and use the Regional Settings to change to Australia and whatever else you need.
Then, use Resco Explorer or another Registry Editor to see what the new values are and pop them back into the CAB file. Done!

I do not seem to be able to find the following cab. Is it missing or have I gone mad?!?

Sorry but this may be the wrong place for this thread. But I have a MDA Vario II with the official T-Mobile WM 6. What I want to do is, within the programs folder, how can I change the folder icon of the folders I have created my self?

Here's your info:
Create 'icon.lnk' in the folder in the start menu and make it a hidden file.
The shortcut would be to the file containing the icon you want to use, and for folders in the Start Menu the link would probably be to shellres.dll with the icon in the low 8200s,
The attached file has:
The folder structure with icons I use in the start menu
A cab file for installing said icons if you don't want to it for yourself
RViewer for examining the icons in files (.exe, .dll and .cpl) so you can choose one.

this manila file is intended for the little notification about new sms or mail. is the green circle that you get when a new sms or mail is coming.
changing this manila file you can get a different color and a different aspect.

Here is how:
1. Copy the manila file in question to your desktop (PC) or wherever.
2. Download Manila Editor over in the Diamond Forum (in "Themes, Software..." sub-forum).
3. Open Manila Editor and open up your manila file by clicking "Select Path."
4. Using manila Editor, export the image in the manila file as a PNG, or whatever format you like.
5. Use a program like Photoshop to change the color.
6. Using Manila Editor, replace the image in the manila file with the one you altered with Photoshop.
7. Backup your original manila file from your windows folder (i.e., copy it to your storage card or somewhere else).
8. Disable TFLO3D (setting-->personal-->today--> Items).
9. Copy your changed file into windows with total commander (or resco explorer).
10. Restart TFLO3D.

[REQ] HTC start menu icon

Guys I have seen cabs floating around to change the top bar icons - what I was after is a cab to change the startmenu icon to the HTC logo...
Done the usual search thing to no avail - be great if someone would package up a cab for me.

Bump. I want this too. Just want the HTC logo as start logo. Dont want to change the other top bar icons. Just start logo.

yaa that one i also looking for too...

to change the start logo you have to edit the same dll's as for (some) topbar icons (shellres.192.dll). And since guys who edit this one (me too) also change topbar icons, i'm afraid you've to do yourself if you want start icon only.

OK dudes. Here is JUST the htc logo with instructions :
1. Install Start Menu Certificates
2. Copy shellres.192.dll.0409.mui to your Windows folder.
*** The attached dll is for english version. If you have french for example you have to rename the dll to : shellres.192.dll.040C.mui. If you have other language and don't know your code just do a search in windows folder for some .mui files and see their code.
- code for french : 040C
- code for en : 0409
Be sure to backup if you need to replace the .mui file.

after copying the .mui file, your signal strenght icon is also replaced with what ?
kinda hard to believe.

Hard to believe? I followed the instructions (installed start menu certificates, copied the mui file), and the result is:

it's a left over from a previos installed "coloredtopbar" or smtg. i've never installed one of those, and i don't have this problem.

WM 6.5 Start Menu Icons

Is there any way to change from the hex icon layout on the start menu and sub folders in WM6.5 to a non-hex layout (ie: so they all line up horizontally and vertically)? I don't really care for the hex layout

Does anyone know how to do this?

I've tried a few things in the registry but that hasn't helped. Anyone know how to do this?
