Hi Every1,
I bought a Touch Diamond in India, which was network locked. I got that phone to USA along with me. I tried updating the ROM from an online thread, the update didnt happen but suddenly the phone switches off and it wont turn back on. I called the HTC service team in USA, after askin my phone's p/n(part number), they said they dont have the software and said they cant help it. I have taken an iphone but i am not able to bear it, SOMEBODY PLEASE TRY TO HELP ME WITH THE DIAMOND.
Did you take out the battery for a few minutes?
And plug the power cable on, not the USB cable.

Have you tried turning it on while plugged into the charger? How about a Hard reset?
Had similar problem some advice
Ok!
I had same situation. But i am a cingular/att customer. So i don't know how my advice would help unless you have a friend who has cingulr/att service.
Now, what i did was contact cingular/att I explained to them that my phone stopped working.
They took the IMEI # of phone -- they were able to tell that i had purchased it
it was w/in the 1 yr service plan. they exchanged it for refurbished one.
so if u know someone w/ cingular service have them call it in.
NOW make sure you do not offer any information. You wait until you are asked those questions and to answer w/ appropriate response. Simple and short.
hope that helps.
key thing to remember:
it just doesn't turn on
u did nothing to it
u didn't change rom
Hi,
I bought a HTC touch hd about 5 months ago, which i lost about 1 month ago. I phoned orange and told them to cancle my simcard, i didnt give them an imei number (obviously cos i didnt have it), just my lost phone number. I bought a HTC touch dual from ebay the day after which has been working perfectly. Then a few days ago, my friend phoned me saying he has found my touch HD, i got it from him, put my simcard in it and i got signal and was able to phone people from it but when i did a soft reset, it didnt get the signal back, there was just an exclaimation mark (!) next to the signal meter in the task bar, when i go into the phone settings, it says "no service" and when i click find, it says "cannot register to network."
To confuse the situation even more, when i turned the phone back on a few hours later, i regained signal and was able to phone people, but as soon as i did soft reset, it lost signal again. Over the past week i have been constantly testing it and have noticed that if i turn the phone on after about 5pm, it gets signal but as soon as i reset the phone, it loses signal again until 5pm the next day. i know it sounds strange but thats wot happens.
Iv just unlocked the phone to all networks (using the xda tool ) and tried my o2 sim in there but that does exactly the same thing, i will try it at 5pm tomorrow. Iv tried phoning orange but they are useless, and the staff in their shops just tell me to phone customer services.
Also, i can use GPRS/HSDPA all the time and go on the internet and stuff, everything on the phone works, except the actual phone itself (unless i turn it on after 5pm and leave it on, will only lose signal after a reset)
Would this point towards them blocking my phone? cos i always thought, once your phone is block, it will never get signal unless the imei is changed.
Also, is the imei on its own IC inside the phone? Does anyone have access to a service manual or at least know the circuit location of the chip? im an electronics engineer and have the facilities to change and read small ICs. If the worst comes to the worst, i will change the imei with either 1 from a faulty touch HD or from my touch dual, whichever is easier.
1 more thing, dont post telling me its illigal to change the imei, i already know, its illigal to download copyrighted stuff, break speed limits or take drugs but people still do it everyday.
Thanks in advance to any help given

Hi all I have a problem with Nokia Lumia 900 locked to At&t network, I purchased the mobile from **** usa with broken screen, I fixed the screen and the phone was working 100% except that I could not test the phone for calls as it was locked to At&t network and I am in the United Kingdom and I was waiting for unlock solution.
Anyway I plugged the phone in to Zune and it reported there was an update for the phone so I let it update and it got to 100% and finished, now the phone was in boot loop it kept restarting and getting to were it nearly switched on then reported it had a low battery and shut down and rebooted again and again. I left the phone on charge all night and it was the same in the morning rebooting.
I left the phone for a few days and I thought I would try it again and it was the same, but then I tried to back up the software and the phone worked again, it switched on as normal etc and worked fine.
I plugged the phone into Zune again and it told me to update again and I thought they may have fixed it so I updated it again and now I have the same problem stuck in boot loop mode again.
I decided to take the mobile phone to Maidstone Nokia Care Centre and they had a look at it and flashed the mobile using Nokia Care Suite as I went into the Techs room, the phone flashed to 100 % but would not start again it was stuck in boot loop mode.
The Nokia Tech thought this phone was a Uk phone even though I told him it was USA at&t network so obviously he flashed the phone with UK software, I then told him again that it was a UK phone again and maybe he had flashed the wrong software.
His manager heard me then and said he could not do anything else to the phone as it was a USA mobile and Nokia Care Centre only covers European phones.
Now my question is this I have the right software to go on the phone which I think is RM-808 At&t Cyan software.
But I cannot boot the phone fully although I can get it into download mode, the Tech stated that you can not do this on a windows phone so how can I reflash this device, can you do it using linux or maybe a dos based program can somebody please help me reinstall the correct software.
All help much appriciated thankyou.

I'm not an expert on this. However, I have done this enough times to know this should help you out. Check out this thread. Read it through, download the parts, watch the video. It should help you get back to where you need to be and still have an updatable device. If you have any questions afterwards...post the specifics and someone will help.
NOTE: Some of what you describe sounds strange. Make sure your device is charged 100% before trying this.

Hi there everyone my name is Tyler. Im going to tell you my story and hopefully you can help me here we go, So i got the LG optimus g as soon as i was 18 and could put the phone in my own name. everything was perfect for about 2 months then i dropped my phone and the screen had smashed. I took it to "Century place" and there is a Russian man who owns a small store that fixes broken phones and such. i payed 200$ for the repair of the phone and when i got it back it was in airplane mode i took it out of it and i had service everything was fine! i had the phone on for about 5 hours and it was working good. i went to bed and i woke up at about 3am and i decided to check my phone ( i keep it in my pillow case) and when i pulled it out i saw that i had no service. i was very confused and restated the phone and my service was back. In the morning i woke up and grabed my phone and bam no service again! so i re-started my phone again and it didnt work this time i still had no service. I tryed calling customer support and doing everything they said. and when i turned my phone on with no sim card in it the phone wouldn't even tell me i had no sim card. it just says no service it does not promt me to enter my sim card or ask if i have a sim, nothing just no service i cant even make emergency calls with my sim in or out. my phone was never rooted or unlocked and im very confused. can i check to see if that Russian man who fixed the screen had messed with it? and also just recently i let my phone die completly and then charged it fully up and when i turned it on i had no sim card in it and it told me to enter a sim card!!!! and its never done this! sadley i lost my sim card so i couldnt enter it into the phone but about 5 hours later i looked at the phone and the little icon saying i had no sim card was gone, it just said no service again, nothing to do with the sim card!! IM SO CONFUSED, can someone please help me! i can provide pictures if that would help! i have the Bell version model # E973
thanks, Tyler
Anyone?
Ok so i got my one m9 a while ago and have been running viperone for some time.
however one night i put my phone on charge go to sleep like normal,
once i wake i have no signal and airplane mode stuck to turning off,
i have done all research and restored my phone back to default by ruu but no matter what i do nothing changes, i have tried turning the radio on manually with the 4636 menu. i have rebooted without sim inserted but nothing seems to help.
i have the sprint version so i don't receive 4g anyway.
be grateful if anyone could help me if not im going to have a long argument with the shop that sold it to me (being it was a sprint phone being sold in the uk) and he refused this at first and couldn't get a refund
i can't see any other options
thanks in advance
IF IT'S 2ND HAND You have the right to a cooling off period of 30 days where if anything goes faulty they fix it. If it goes faulty twice then they refund.
They must prove it isnt faulty, you do not have to prove it is.
If your 30 days are up and they offer no other recourse then you're SOL.
IF IT'S BRAND NEW They are obliged to do the above for 12 months.
If talking to him and asking politely doesn't get you anywhere just call consumer advice line and they will help you out.
