How create German Black ROM

HOW to create a German Black 2.0 ROM for HTC TyTn with this file:

ROMs cannot be translated easily. So, your best bet is to start with a German ROM (there's at least one available for download) and then make all the same modifications to it as jasjamming did to make his Black ROM. Of course, you can download the English Black ROM, dump it, and compare it file-by-file with the German ROM you started out with. But it's still a lot of work...

You come across as rather demanding, without showing much willingness to put some of your own time and effort into this.
So: all the necessary data is there, the tools are there, the knowledge is there (admittedly a bit spread all over this forum, so sometimes hard to find). Just sit down for a weekend and start building.
Hint: putting bepe's German WM6 and then wmbe.tsk (from the Black Edition) on your phone will get you almost a German Black Edition.

Why don't you ask bepe as I recommended in another thread? Jasjamming is from Australia, why should he build a german Rom?
Maybe all the Germans are waiting for a german Rom, the Austrians don't

WM6 Localization - let's start!

Hi,
one of the most complaints about cooked roms is that they are avaiable only in WWE, and after a quite long time, in other languages. I don't know how language is stored into WM operating system, but if all word/sentences can be extracted to a text file, i and many like me would be habby to translate it to Italian. I'm sure there's others that can do the same in other languages.
This way we could have our localized WM6 without waiting for official releases how about it?

You should check the Hermes forums, they have localizations for WM6 in several languages. No need to reinvent the wheel.

Is there an easy way for mUn and LVSW to apply hermes localizations languages to trinity WM6 ?

As far as i know its not that hard to do (as in required skill) but it involves a lot of work.
We should probably wait until all bugs are ironed out, there's no use in translating/converting a buggy Rom.

I'm playing around with localization to german, here's the rough steps I did so far:
1) Dump os.nb
2) Copy MUI files from Bepe's german WM6 ROM (Hermes) and rename to *0409*
3) Rebuild
Obviously this only give me a very partial translation, I know registry and initflash would need to be edited as well.
I have a specific problem however: I want to switch msim.dll to msimde.dll (english softkeyboard to german). I copied msimde.dll from the other Rom but when I try to enable it in the registry, the ROM will hang at HTC screen. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I know. don't rename msimde to msim, coz they use different CLISD (it was written inside dll). So when you put renamed msimde.. the system can't use old CLISD with this dll..so you see white screen (coz system doesn't boot without any virtual keyboard)
So you should create new CLISD and edit some reg entries for your de deutch kbd. But you should keep original driver too (msim.dll). But you can deactivate it (isinputmethod=o)

I still have loads of other questions but I'll ask them when I get there. Maybe I'll write a guide so others can do it too.

Best is you get c_setag to upload the Raw I2 ROM to file sharing site such as rapidshare/ megaupload/ etc. and post the link here. I see that he has downloaded the ROM!
I am sure the people in this forum will be able to make a full bootable rom with the files!

This is not for an Omnia, it's for a i780!

It is a Ducth ROM... so someone have to translate it...

Is it eboot+phone+pda?

well is it wm6.1? we need to edit this rom coz as far as i know it comes totally in dutch language. and also i wonder is it eboot+phone?

According to the poster on the dutch website it is:
i780 I2 PDA NL
i780 J2 Phone
i780 J2 Eboot

It is a DUTCH I2 version, i converted it myself.
So there are no english functions, i do not have the knowledge or time to convert this rom to English.

i think it is not necessary I can't find any difference between i1 and i2; maybe if bizbee comes...

Yeah I have hope about bizbee it's just a matter of time if they are really serious about it.
The second question is about the worldwide update I mean qwertz/azerty keyboard versions. From what I understant WM is MUI now. So it shouldn't be very difficult for Samsung to get it multilanguage plus a keyboard map shouldn't be any challenge.
I think the i780 has been avalaible for very long now and it's really one of the best wm device. The build quality is top notch compared to htc. But the software lacks. I mean the wm6 release I had was far from bug free and the gps locked to tomtom. Then the optical mouse can be frustrating but it's no match when it come to one hand usability.

anyone success running tomtom 7 on the i780 with the I2 pda and J2 phone rom?
The internal gps works fine with igo8 like before, tomtom7 also recognizes the internal gps but doesn't get a fix. Any real solutions for this issue? (please no gps proxy or any alike) I read that some people are able to run tomtom7 out of the box with their new firmware.
Google maps has also issues using the internal gps.

don't important the language, important is that a lot of drivers and oemxipkernel modules (also nk.exe) are updated in version (from 2.7 to 2.9), but some of them (like nk.exe) are larger in lenght, so recompiled with some changes
I'm trying new drivers/oemxipkernel on my own 23001 italian rom, and all seems to be OK!!!!!

Can anyone tell me which original Black Theme I can use with this ROM - and how?
I got a little confused with the many themes and versions... I used HTC_Black_v.193_1.2b with the older Vodafone-ROM, which had the problem of invisible input text in landscape mode.

None one have managed to extract the radio 1.13.25.24 from this rom? In the forums I only founded this radio from Blackstone which requires a security unlocked device.

I use 1.17.25.09 radio and it works fine, don't really know about other radios, but i think yours in your sig should do it too.

Sure...go to \Windows\AutoStart and delete BatteryMeterStarup.lnk and MemoryMeterStarup.lnk.
