I keep having the same Opera landscape issue with the Swift BL ROMS. Does Dutty's latest ROM have this issue? Because if it does not, I may just flash to it as a solution (instead of using an older Opera).
Secondly, if I do decide to flash Dutty's ROM, does the 1.00.25.5 radio work well with it?
Thanks,
S.
im pretty sure it opera having the issues. i have had that same issue many times in a variety of cookers roms. btw use a radio that works for YOU the best. no rom can make a radio better on its own. a radio is a radio. and yes .5 works well with every rom!
Thanks for the reply Blaze.
Damn, so flashing to Dutty's new ROM won't fix the issue then. Guess I shall be patient and hope for a fix then.
Re the radio, I was just wandering why Dutty installs radio .7 with his ROM - made me wander if .5 didn't work well with the ROM or something.
well i dont know if dutty's current relaese has this issue or not. he may have found a fix. you would have to post that question in that thread. as for why he is using .7...i dont know? again you would have to ask over there. i have used pretty much all radios and .5 and .8 are my favz. i hope that helps and you are still happy with your diamond. CUZ I AM!

I am very happy indeed! lol!
It's a great little phone. But I do want to resolve this landscape issue because I prefer landscape when browsing the web.

IT WORKS!! WOOOOHOOOO!
Thank you so much! This is a great fix for me as I always use fullq anyway. This should be made a sticky until the ROMS properly address the issue.
Thanks again,
S.

Hi,
Well lets see, i have tested nearly all roms, some of them was slow, with bugs, or etc... So i am guessing if anyone could sugest a rom which is stable, fast and clean with Win 6.1 TFD3 2.1 or maybe 2.5. but TFD3 2.1 would be best since it is stable.
Not to seem sarcastic. But since you already tried all of the ROMs, shouldn't you know which one works and/or suits you best? Seems logical.
What's wrong with this one?

+1 Taurus, you got it
I think it's time the OP starting researching into developing/customising his own ROMS and then perhaps upload it so we all can have a 'clean, fast and stable ROM' (sometimes referred to as 'stock') for our Diamonds

Thats preaty fast and customizable rom with script.
So yeah i'm interested in going AOSP with like, Oxygen 2.0 RC7 or GingerVillan but i need to know, what are the compatible radios for these ROMS?
At the moment i have 32.49.00_5.11.5.27 So will this work alright with either of the before mentioned ROMS?
Thanks in Advance,
~Matty Matt
Yes, all the froyo once work on gingerbread. However there might be a different recommended radio for the rom than you current, but I wouldn't worry to much about that.
thanks pal! been looking forward to imitating a Nexus S
I have the same radio and it works fine on GingerVillain, no issues with it.
alright thanks barefootpilot I think I'll wait until all the main bugs are ironed out first before i flash.
I am currently running the newest version of the 3VO series rom for excalibur, but there is so much stuff already in it that i do not need. There are no such best roms, since it depends on your personal needs (that's why we have more than one out there). Best for you probably will not be best for me. Try them and make your choice.
On that note, thread closed.
hello to all friends here.
I've been using this brilliant phone for 14 months and I'm still satisfied with it's performance. Tried many roms, with the help of xda pals.
Still using ARHD 7.0.2.
Most of the users know that there are some issues like video camera (none of the suggested solutions can fix my problem) and internet tethering with this rom.
Each custom rom has a different flaw for me.
The reason why I'm using custom rom is just recording my calls.
Only with a rooted DHD you are able to record your calls.(Thanks to HTC policies lol)
Let's keep the long story short; I'm looking for the most "original-like" ROM (no elimination of the functions), simple and just rooted the original like rom.
Can you make a suggestion for me?
Thanks in advance for your kind replies.
Regards
Well bub, this sort of question has been asked several times resulting with the same basic answers.
Do a search and see what suits you since it is subjective to the user. Read the op, flash, see what you like and need.

Dear friend,
I know how to use the seach feature of the forum.
Unfortunately, when I searched there is no exact answer.
If you wish I can send you the screen shot of the search results.
If you have a solution, please let me know.
Regards
Any solution friends?

Take a look in the development subforum. I recall seeing there the original roms for rooted devices (they don't unroot your phone if you flash them).
For me the best original like rom still is ARHD, if you like sense 3.0 it is 6.3.3, and if sense 3.5 it will be ARHD 7.0.4.
I never had any problem with this rom, yes I have read that some users had problems with camera and they got it fixed with Rcmix tweaks installed. This is only for 7.0.x users.
I'm still using 7.0.4 however it also have little flaws.
I could not solve HD recording problem in video camera. First I tried to flash tweaks by gerc, it caused bootloop and was like a nightmare. Then clean installed the rom again (with superwipe and other wiping options) and tried to flash 7.0.0 camera app, no success still fc...
Also there is a problem with USB cable internet tethering. No solution at all.
These two problems seem little but when you need those functions it really bothers.

finally found a solution
dear friends,
Finally found a solution, thanks to nitr00
For whom suffers from the same problem here is a link of rooted latest ACE rom

It looks like CondemnedSoul's Kangdemnation v5 is the only ROM with the rotating softkey fix. Aeroevan's unofficial CM9 Rom used to have it but it hasn't been implemented in his past few releases. Also, the newer CM9 and CM10 Roms that have been released also don't have this fix (probably because they use Aeroevan's Rom as a base). Anyway, if someone can point me or set up a flashable zip file that we can install on top of the newer AOSP Roms, it'll be definitely appreciated! :highfive:
P.S.: I was told to put it here so excuse me if I posted the same question in another section :cyclops:

If the suggestion I gave you in the other thread didn't work then there isn't currently a tool available. So maybe someone will be nice and make it for you, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Yeah I responded to you in the other thread but that was deleted from the section. The fix you mentioned only fixes the issue with the softkey lights turning off really quickly instead of turning off when the screen turns off. It references another link where you can download some libraries but it's missing the key library to make fix the issue.
Thanks anyway!
Aero did have it working in most of the older cm9 builds and if you don't mind gb I believe he has them on his cm7.2 build. At the moment I know he is working mostly on cm10 across a few devices and he just recently got married so since the soft keys not rotating doesn't prevent them from working it is kind of far down on the list of things to work on. Just have patience I am sure they will be rotating soon enough as aero has done a fantastic job so far.
