Finally HTC has released the new firmware for P3300 (aka Artemis) in varous languages (I'm italian, so I'm interesting on italian version).
It's not the last OS vesion, but I think it's better cook a firm certified for this PDA than adapt a firm build for other HW.
By now I've removed Extended_ROM, Windows Live, Games (never used) and AutoUpdate, so ROM is stable and very light (53 MB free Storage and 25 MB free Programs).
I have some problem that needs your help:
1) How can I remove software protection (the advice installing a not certified program)???
2) Why "Home Plug" doesn't work??? (Perhaps a protection problem???)
3) There is a patch for MediaPlayer (it doesn't work in stand-by)???
With this community I have learned a lot, I'm sure you know how to solve all!!!
From Meschle Vannilla 2.0
3) Windows media player 10.3.18521 - plays in standby mode. *
PS. I'm italian too... so Good Cooking
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies]
"0000101a"=dword:1
Is this the key to solve 1) ???
PS: thanks, I'll try with this wmp.
before cooking check the htchome.dll file:
is it signed and has it oem sign 2005?

Not signed, and than...
... than?
You should look around and see if you can find a signed version of that file then include it in to your rom.
You can use "Security Configuration Manager" of microsoft to sign a file but then you MUST include that sertificate in to your rom then it will go.

3. This should do it
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences]
"UnattendedPlayback"=dword:1
"FastCacheReserve"=dword:00800000
"LocalCacheReserve"=dword:00800000
2. try attached htchome.dll
1, your correct with reg key
I knew you are the best!!!!!
Solved 1) via registry key
Solved 2) thanks NikMel and Meschle
Solved 3) thanks Meschle
Now I'm perfecting some installation file, the rom is nearly ready!
PS: do you know how to remove user's suggestions and error reports?
Hello
See attachment, to put in OEM folder to remove security
good luck !
This is the result:

The real difference is that Spaghetti is based on "Trinity Lasagna" ROM adapted for using with Artemis, my ROM is only a modded version of original HTC Artemis ROM...
I know the hardware is almost identical, but "almost" is not a warranty...
My rom doesn't want to be the best rom for Artemis, but a good base to create your own ROM...

Is there the touchflo in this rom ?

I'm not so skilled. If i do that i'll risk to brick the phone.
Could you do it for us ?
Thank you.

I've bricked my phone three times, to recover it you need install original HTC FULL rom that writes bootloader, filesystem, and all the rest (complete resume)
Like you can see by my posts number, I'm not so experienced as Meschle or tom_codon, I'm a user that wants share his experience to realize a good ROM for Artemis in italian...
If you try to build your rom, it's possible you are more able in something and me in some other, adding your experience to mine is the way to obtain a result!!!

@cesconoa:
only few question:
is this rom bug esent? is it all functionally?
I need a very very light rom and i thing it's a good idea install original WM6 but "lite".
Can you tell me precisely the changes you made in this rom from original?
And what are the value of Storage (and free) and Program (and free)?
Thanks
is there an emulator for see the rom in your pc before flashing them into ppc?
thanks in advance
I'm glad you asked this question. I've wondered this for some time. I've tried the WM6 emulator, but it does not use the P3600 specific hardware, just a generic WM device, and you cannot flash ROMs to it. Would be cool to try cooked ROMs on an emulator first.
i want to know this as well.
yeah, would be good to know what we're getting before we actually flash our phone
VM Ware?
Could you make a VMware image? My mate uses emus for his PIX images when testing.

I thought of that too, but could not figure out how to emulate the hardware. I haven't yet seen a VMWare emulator for the Trinity CPU, USB, Memory, etc...
If you figure it out, I'm all ears!!!
Hi,
Is it possible to put the Raphael (diamond Pro) ROM on the Touch Diamond?
and if it's possible, does it work good?

I don't think is possiable, but you could cook it instead.. You could try O.R.D.E
a lot of the cooked ROMs are now ported from the Pro, they do need bits changed tho.

1.69 roms of raphael could run but not suggested. it loads more drivers such as hardware keyboard. since diamond hasnt this parts it runs less smooth. most of the cooked roms here already using raphael parts wich are usefull. so there is no need on doing this. i also would like to remind that raphael has diffrent memmory drivers so the internal storage owuld not get detected too.
to summarize dont try it =) you wont achieve any advantage of it.

Short answer: No
Long Answer: The ARM chip in the Hermes is to old, it doesn't support some of the instructions needed, also there are no drivers for the chipset ect in the Hermes, so someone would need to go to a lot of trouble to write them all.
(As far as I know)

Well try this link, the ARMv5 instructions of Android have been recompiled for the ARMv4.
Let's see if the Hermes has a Pinguin future

Well, thats something, we would still be missing stuff like drivers for everything.
I'm asking that anyone could change OS system of PDA. I have a PDA "Porient H9" which is XScale 524Mhz running Linux OS. Is it possible to change the OS to WM? The specifications of this PDA like Athena, is it possible to flash Athena ROM to this machine? Thanks.

Basicly it's possible to change OS, but in this case it's impossible - NO WM ROM exist for this device.
And never ever try to flash any other ROM that is not designed for Your device.

Thanks for your reply. I have this idea because I found no software to support this OS and it becomes totally useless. It would become useful if the OS is WM. I want to flash Athena ROM because their specifications are very much alike. But I don't know how to get into bootloader mode. Hope any expert here can help me.

YOU CAN'T FLASH ATHENA ROM!!!
Drivers are different and similar hardware doesn't mean anything.
Never try to flash any other device ROM, because You will brick it.
