Vogue Stuck at HTC Screen - Touch CDMA Windows Mobile ROM Development

Hey Guys,
I was trying to flash ToO's Cricket Rom to an HTC Sprint Vogue and after the process was finished it is stuck on the "HTC Smart Mobility" screen. I used an unlocker by cokeman before flashing I I think I need to re-lock the handset to flash it back to the original sprint ROM. However I need the older sprint rom and not the new one with GPS. When I put the phone in bootloader mode this is what it says:
It says:
VOGU100
SPL-0.41 Coke
CPLD-3
Where can I get the older ROM for the sprint vogue?
Update:
I am not able to load the original Sprint ROM. It errors out everytime at about 29%

Check PPCGeeks, there is a thread with factory ROM's.

Try doing this check your registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcosoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCsettings\make sure you only have one entry: Cricket MMS if you have another named Default or Sample, delete them and then try again; if it fails Delete all, soft re-boot and then install your ROM. Good luck.

I'm a little confused on the issue. If you want to flash roms with GPS you need to be unlocked with Imcokes 2.31 not 0.41 unlocker. Once unlocked you can flash to the stock roms. I flash back to Sprints stock GPS rom all the time. Be careful of flashing from a GPS rom back to a non GPS rom. This could cause some issues.
If you are trying to relock your phone thats a different issue.
EDIT: After rereading. Did you try flashing from a non gps rom to a gps rom or vice versa? Your phone looks to be unlocked with a non-gps unlocker. Is the cricket rom GPS?

When flashing a custom ROM your Vogue needs to be unlock with 2.31 (GPS) or .40 (non GPS). Not too sure about cricket but would assume if you have a radio version of 3.xx.xx would be GPS. Hopefully you have not bricked your Vogue.
You may find more help at ppcgeeks.com or ppchaven.com.
You may have to resort flashing your ROM in the bootloader mode,

SAME PROBLEM with Vogue
I think I have the same problem as the one who started this thread. here is what I did:
I unlocked a Vogue with the non-gps unlocker (SPL-0.41.Coke)
then I loaded a GPS rom onto the phone (OMJ 3.09)
and now it is stuck at the HTC Screen.
I then tried to flash a stock ROM to the phone, but as descreibed above it will not fully load- it stops at 29 percent- tried it a couple times.
I then tried the OMJ 3.09 again and it still stuck in HTC Screen, and says "No radio.'
I am trying to figure out what to do. I was told by someone to load a GPS radio into it and see if it boots. I have the radio to install but not sure if thats best bet.
I was told by someone else to install nongps radio and then install a nongps rom.
One concern I have is that I will brick my phone that way (if i try to downgrade to a nongps radio after installing a gps rom...but im not sure that the gps rom actually installed a gps radio or not cuz my phone was only .41 unlocked)
Also, I cant seem to install a stock rom because it stops at 29 percent.
Any ideas?
Thanks

to anyone else with this problem- I just installed this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357762
and all was well including radio.

Just thought that I would post what happened to my phone and the steps that eventually recovered it in case it helps somebody else:
My phone was stuck with "No Radio" on the boot loader screen and the SPL as "SPL-2.31.CoKe", but none of the 3.x ROMs would flash properly that I tried. So here are the steps that eventually recovered it (mostly...):
1.) I installed the ROM above from the tri-color screen (power+camera+reset). I still had no radio, but it was letting me past this and booting up to WM.
2.) I then re-flashed the 2.31.CoKe boot loader (not sure if this step is necessary but listing what worked...)
3.) I tried to install RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.78_Ship.exe but it failed at 10% restarting to RUUNBH screen and the installer gave me Error [290]: Invalid Command
4.) I then tried to install the latest sprint ROM straight from the HTC site:_Touch by HTC (Sprint)_RUU_PPST_Vogue_SPRINT_WWE_3.03.651.4_2_Radio_3.42.30_AM_NV_2.04_Ship this looked like it was going to fail at the same part the Verizon rom did as it rebooted at 10% to RUUNBH screen, but the Sprint installer did something (I heard the computer lose and gain connection multiple times) and eventually it went right back and continued on from 11% and finished successfully.
5.) Rebooted and I had a radio now! Rather then risking trying to install the Verizon ROM again I went straight to the custom ROM I had originally started out with: NFSFAN 6.5 V6 which is working fine for me, except the GPS which is what started out my adventure of the last 3 days...
Just a note: for all flashes except the final one I simply waited till it was at the "Tap the screen..." stage till flashing. I never let any ROM but the final one run it's customization.

Trouble with Dopod WM6..

can't seem to get this upgrade to work. the updater stops at about 28 percent for me with an error (286? i think) and after that i'm stuck in bootloader. Every time after that, the updater wont even start.. (a different error).
i can flash successfully a cooked ROM, but can't get the official one to work. Could it be a conflict with Des' crash-proof SPL? That's the only thing i can think of at this point..
To me said invalid device id, and got stuck on the boot loader
try back to any old offical ROM
and then copy SSPL to PDA and run it on PDA
when bootloader appear, run WM6 offical updater
I got same problem too and get fix
good luck
update: since i managed to flash PDAVIET's rom, i thought i'd just try going back to Olipro's hard-spl and see what happens.. So i flashed it, entered bootloader and ran the WM6 update again, and SUCCESS!!
very strange though.. anyone have some thoughts as to why it wouldn't work under Des', or if this is just coincidence?
It installs a new bootloader that can't be hacked by the previous hacks I think.... I'm stuck in it too...

Hi racerx,
I've encountered the same problem as your, stuck at 28% ERROR [286] while flashing, and couldn't go over it even after recovery process following the instruction.
Could you please explain a bit more details about how to go back to Olipro's hard-spl and enter into bootloader?
Thanks, eager to flash the new ROM...
Well I was able to get out of it by running Pof's CID RUU Unlocker, however, it errors after 7%, and resets. It gets past the bootloader, however, it hardreset the phone...eh.
IT happened to me too - Update Error.
So should i go back to Official WM5 then update to WM6 (i had AX3L installed before and i just had to reflash back to AX3L coz of the error from WM6).
Kinda scared me.....LoL
well, to start with i had Des' Crash-Proof SPL on my phone... so after the updater hung at 28%, i remained in Des' bootloader. I then ran the RUU for pdaviet's ROM, which flashed successfully. After that was on and my trinity was up and running, i flashed Olipro's hard-spl. Then manually put it in bootloader again, and flashed the official ROM.
Let me say this, though. At this point, i think you should be content to get your device out of bootloader mode. This Dopod WM6 doesn't have so much to be desired in it compared to cooked ROM's on this forum, plus your bootloader will be stuck at version 3.xxxx which i don't know if anyone is sure how to deal with yet. I'm regretting flashing mine to official version. Should have waited for a chef to pack it up for me.
what does your bootloader say?
You need to actually have a device that this release is supported by. It flashes a new SPL but you can flash Olipros HARD SPL 1.20 straight over that once WM6 has flashed.
It replaces any HARD SPL before flashing, probably to ensure only official devices get this update. Those having issues are probably out of this.
The official rom is fine, not as finished or customised as some chef ones, but good none the less. Also, the new 3.0??? SPL is no issue at all and easily removed once flashed.
yeah saw your post on the other thread.. thanks for the tip! talk about a stressful morning haha..
i was waiting for this ROM cause my activesync has mysteriously stopped working for a couple of weeks. so i was going to flash and take it to the service center. The miracle of it, was after my device hung and i reflashed pdaviet's rom, my activesync mysteriously works now even though i reflashed a million times before trying to get it going haha..
new spl is needed for flashing new radio rom with cid locked device.
So that's why RUU reflashes SPL at first.
U could simply reflash HArd spl back by using sspl
mUn, when can we expect your much anticipated "Indigo" rom using this offical WM6 base??
Genius! thanks for the tip mun...
all i can say is one word....
INDIGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
I also got Invalid vendor ID when I tried to flash for the first time. But it flashed just fine after I put it into bootloader mode. Give it a try..
Flashed my mine in a breeze from LSVW version 27/05/07.

Stuck In BootLoader After Trying To Install D810 Official ROM

Hi All,
My P3600 is stuck in bootloader after trying to install the official D810 ROM. I used the CID unlock install first, which seemed to work fine, I then tried to install the D810 ROM and it looked like it was working, but stopped at 28% with some kind of communications problem. Recovery does not work... it displays the progress bar, but then goes straight back to the rainbow bootloader screen.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
Rael
Phew... got it working. I removed the battery and replaced, boot loader was still displayed, and then ran the old official WM5 update which seemed to progress from 0 to 100% sucessfully.
Thanks
Rael
Your phone was relocked by the update, and I'm guessing you don't have an actual D810 that's supposed to get this update. The best method to flash this is to follow my post here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316410
oops, you can use hard SPL in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299659
i got the problem like you when i upgrade my device to wm6 officiel.
After you flash hard SPL Olipro, you can use PC to flash again another rom you like.
(sorry for my worth english)...
People just do NOT know how to read...sigh.

Forgot to set activesync to not sync when loading unlocker

I am trying to flash a sprint touch to the new 6.5WM roms. The tutorial i used didnt tell me not to "disallow usb connections in activesync". Not knowing that i did anything wrong, i continued to load the new rom. And now my phone is stuck at the "HTC Smart Mobility" black screen *the red numbers appeared and went away".
When i do the power+camera+stylus reset it brings me to the tri colored screen and reads
vogu100 MFG
spl-2.31 CoKe
CPLD-3
What can i do to correct this issue and upgrade my phone or atleast put a OEM rom back on?
Its fine. At the tri-color screen, flash the ROM of your choice.

I did, and it says it completed successfully, but when it restarts after 100% it never gets past the black HTC logo.
I tried flashing NFSFAN's 6.5 21501 V7 GENERIC CARRIER ROM
and
NFSFAN's Custom Sprint WM6.1 ROM 1.12
m03 P acaaaam-4070
b01 R 2.13.00
D 3nfs
Those are the red readouts when the phone first boots, it soon freezes after the red disappears.
Wait, you have a Tilt? If so, this is a CDMA Vogue ROM. It's not compatible with the Tilt.

Okay well in that case, you have the wrong radio version on your phone. You need to upgrade the radio first. Try running Sprint, or Bell's 6.1 stock ROM, Then re-flash NFSFAN's ROM.

can someone point me to where i can download a stock rom for sprint
I was able to located one, flash it, and i can now access the phone. Gonna try reflashing with a 6.5
I tried loading 6.5 again and once again after it flashes, reboots, and i do a hard reset, it wont get past the HTC mobility screen. Maybe i am doing something wrong in the flash process....
1) entered bootloader mode
2) ran ruu.exe from the 6.5 rom
3) let it complete the setup, reboot
4) Immediately do hard reset
Am i missing something?
No. Give it some time. I know mine is slow on first boot. Its much faster after the customizations run and it resets.

may have bricked my vogue

ive tried several ways to unbrick my vogue
here is how i started:
i downloaded cokemans unlocker 2.31
after i unlocked it i downloaded omj's manila clean rom
i ran the RUU for omj's m2d
the phone is reset....it is stuck on the verizon wireless screen and will go no further i left it on all night because i was told it was loading...that didnt work
but i heard it is still cureable if i can get to the bootloader screen, which i can.
any ideas
ive tried the storage card method for unbricking, and just plain old re running the unlockers/updaters
any help would be appreciated greatly
i found out i probably went in the rong because i didnt upgrade the radio to 3.xx
have you tried hard resetting
red and green buttons(send/end)
and placing your stylus in the hole under the buttons at the bottom
i did the same thing last week,
go to the htc.com site and download the rom for your phone. then go into the bootlader screen ... i think its was the camera and reset button that got me in it. then load up the default rom wich will upgrade your radio and unbrick your phone. then jsut go ahead and unlock again and upgrade to 6.5
sprint htc vogue wanting to go to cricket
i was just reading the thread and was wanting to know if someone might have the stuff i need for a sprint htc touch to unlock and flash for cricket. thanks in advance for any advice.
got it
i just kept doing the stuff over and over and i randomly ran the unlocker again in the bootloader screen and heh it worked...but the power button would actually turn off the phone and i needed to hard reset it to turn it back on...the solution to that was the alltel rom and an upgraded radio
i think i can now begin on getting gps
if you need help
just send me a message im a noob too but i can try to get you out of the trouble going missing a phone for a week feels terrible

[Q] Flashing Original Stock Rom

Hi Guys I need your help.
I have a tilt 2 that I hard SPLed and installed Energy Titanium.
I wanted to put the original Stock att rom back in it since most of the roms I've put into it is still under development and missing a lot of stuff.
So i dled "Stock_SPL_Restore_087.zip".
I Task29 it first.
Then I got customRUU.exe with the RUU_Signed.nbh (from the Stock_SPL_Restore_087.zip) and put it into a folder. Then ran customRUU.exe from the bootloader.
Now on the bootloader screen I see SPL-0.87.0000
When I let it boot It just goes to a white screen with " ATT and World Phone" on it, and after a few seconds it reboots by itself again.
So my questions are:
Can I reflash HardSPL from the bootloader?
Can I still load a stock or any other rom to it?
Is this what it means to be bricked?
How to fix this issue?
I did read the FAQs
And yes I do get the 260 error.
Thank you for all your help!
Wow noone knows? : (
Can anyone help?
You should have flashed the stock ROM BEFORE the SPL. You could try extracting the NBH from the stock ROM and flashing that from the bootloader. I'm not guaranteeing anything, though. You should have followed the directions.
