Download Instructions:
IMPORTANT! - please read these instructions carefully before updating your device
1. Download the .zip file and extract the .exe file within.
2. Ensure Activesync v4.5 (or higher) is installed on PC/laptop for OS WinXP and below. For Windows Vista and above there is no need to install ActiveSync.
3. Connect P800w to PC/laptop.
4. VERY IMPORTANT! - Ensure your device is connected properly to the PC/laptop.
5. Make sure the battery is charged to at least 50%.
6. Double-click on the .exe file to run the update utility.
7. VERY IMPORTANT! - All files and software on the device will be lost after the update. Please ensure a copy of your important files is backed-up somewhere else.
8. Please close all programs on your PC/laptop when running the update utility.
9. VERY IMPORTANT! - Do not unplug the device when the update process is running, doing so may damage the device.
10. After updating, the device will reboot, this is normal.
Note: HTC just releases a new WM6 Rom upgrade version program. Please note that there is a need to reinstall new MapKing software once you have finished the upgrade to Windows Mobile 6. The MKID of your MapKing map will be changed. Therefore to continue to use the MapKing map, you need to follow the steps below in order to apply a new registration code:
1.Please access, http://www2.mapking.com/UpgradeScheme_Dopod.htm 2.Input your original MapKing product authorization code. After the verification, you can proceed to the next step: Input your new MKID and press the “Submit” button. Then you will get a new registration code.

Try to deactivate HTC's phone skih. The WM6 default skin now have great new options.
Here is the registry change:
Remove operator skin from Phone app
If your device's Phone app is skinned, you can remove by setting:
HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 0 (DWORD decimal)
Similarly, you can restore it with:
HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled = 1 (DWORD decimal)

I dont know how, or if you can uninstall those programs..look in your system folder under program files, but I dont recall ever seeing those programs in there. I think they are in the extended ROM and would have to be removed before you flash...but I dont know how to do it, or if that information is correct.
I do know, however, that SIP has to do with Voice Over IP - Internet, or WiFi calling. Thats all I know on that subject, not a feature I ever got excited about.

First; the calculator can NEVER be removed (it's part of the WM Operating system).
For the Voice speed dial i'm not sure, but you can remove apps that were installed from the EXTended ROM by doing a hard reset, and then immediately do a soft-reset as soon as the 'customisation-process' starts (that's what loads apps from the extended rom to your device, and so you skip that).
HOWEVER: as there may be some customisations in there that are needed for good operation on your network, you do this at your own risk...
But let's talk shop... (on-topic)
I've got a Trinity with an official Dopod WM6 ROM on it, and now i am looking for upgrading my friends Artemis...
So i wondered if there are any issues with this ROM, and how exactly all of you flashed this on a different CID device (my Friend 's got a Dutch (NL) Artemis)... So far i have found out that apparently the Artemis has to be CID unlocked completely before flashing different CID ROM...or are there hacked bootloaders out there that work too...?
Sorry for asking a question that may have been answered before, but an Artemis is just not my native device as you understand...
Search for USPL, its a hacked bootloaded that makes it possible to load any rom onto your device.

I don't understand why you should "upgrade" to radio 1.47, when 02.69.90 is in this ROM..?
Yes! WM6 is on my Orbit - going to remove the horrible green HTC dialpad.
However the SIP/VoIP stuff is missing from the WWE rom
Could somebody please check if this ROM includes Czech regional settings?

About the only way to remove those particular apps would be to cook your own ROM, resetting before customization might get rid of Voice command and Clearvuew PDF, but I am not sure. I have contemplated cooking my own version of the official 3.5 ROM to get rid of Voice Command and ClearVue but it has not been worth the effort yet. Maybe once the official HTC ROM comes out. I install too many programs to make me want to flash regularly.

Im unable to flash this rom.. Everytime i try it gets stuck at 0 %... and then gives an error 262.. Anybody knows what to do ?!?!.. I have hard-spl my device too !!

- 1st boot can be looong depending on version
- If stuck on 1st or second splash screen, then just soft reset
-During 1st boot & post install, screen dimms and goes black.
There is no error ! I adjusted backlight time settings to save battery.
Please push power once to get back to calibration step,
and during post install jog the wheel to keep light on screen, or let it go black for 1 min then push power once.
It can be tricky to get back light on screen, don't think my rOm is bugged, as it isn't !!!
It's just tricky for 1st boot & post install, today's use OK

Lots of cabs in the cabs folder of post_install. I should have really cleaned this - sorry for the mess.
Only one cab is really needed - GoogleMaps,
otherwise it can create errors with Manila if not installed.
The name of the Internet is "Proxy Internet",
if you use automatic set up from Chome tab "getting started".
Please note that some of the other cabs like Titanium Weather might not work for config because of this.
(You can open cab with WinCeCab Manager and edit the Titanium Weather.mscr to change internet settings.)
You can download any version of Titanium Weather here on XDA and try them.
This is rather old pluggin and I don't use it anymore
prefer the black Manila to give you top-class lookin' weather update
Here is what I do :
1°) Flash + hard reset
2°) Auto config, then the device reboots
3°) Tab "Getting started", I set up the Internet connection, then I delete the "getting started" thinggie
4°) I switch from Chome to Manila
5°) PIM restore + Advance Config system filtercache at 4096 sectors (recommended, I have 8 Gb SD)
6°) Soft reset, because after PIM phone is always slow !!!
7°) I start to play with the ROM

O.K. i just found that i can put it on ''vibration'' with CommManager...but no clue for the volume !!!

Sound can be adjusted as usual in a phone talk with the external wheel
For system volume, it's because the new notification page doesn't have a system sound plugin ... I think the HTC volume control can override the inconvenience. I'll try to implement the one from MEGA soon

No idea ! Did you hard reset after flash ? You use FRA version right ?
Have you changed your radio BTW ? I heard some don't work nicely with Bouygues ( the problem you described )
I called myself from home and was able to join the mobile phone perfectly. I think it's not ROM related,
someone else can confirm ?
Hi Nar, got some with cleanRam when used from CleanRam Config, it did freeze my PDA....strange....after a softreset, i tried it but with CleanRam and no problem but after the softreset, i got a screen telling me that i got a problem with MortScript V4.3b5: ''.mscr and .mortrun extensions registred. Please run any .msrc/.mortrun file or resd the manual.''

Yes. The Clean Ram process is now very long to act. You must wait for the ending message or it will freeze your PDA.
The screen you got after soft reset is normal, it's Mortscript and because you installed TitaniumWeather; once done, this message takes place at boot.
You have to erase Mortscript.lnk in Windows\Démarrage to get rid of the message
(it applies only once, unnecessary afterwards.)

ATM no possibility to change ring volume ! Sorry
But you can put on vibrate or silent by comm manager, or increasing ring for example.

I indeed tried a hard reset and I use a french version. Last night I tried with my girl friend's sim card and it works So you might be right I need to intall an other version of my radio. How can I know wich version I have and which one should I install for bouygues?

There are some radios which are not compatible with Bouygues
1.50.08.11 does not work on Bouygues network
try 1.41.00.11 or 1.56.70.11, those only two will work

EDIT : how to get back both system volume control & ringer volume control on my ROM

install Marc Landis SetVolume 0.5.1, here:

use "SetVolumeQVGA0.5.1.zip", unzip cab, then paste to your device and install
Then -> To use, press Start, Settings, Personal, Buttons
then map button 1 ( right button under the Power button ) to "SetVolume" program in the scrolling list, then OK
Done ! from now, you can acces both system volume and ringer volume by using the right hardware button,
tap on top of the screen to change between system or ringer control
