How to save my current rom ? - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

Greetings its a while since i posted..
Could someone please post a link to a thread that will detail, how i save my current rom.
Before i flash to a cooked rom many thanks

You cannot save you're ROM. What you can do is save the information and setting stored on you ROM, but not the ROM itself.
to make a backup you can use, SPB backup or one of many other programs that are able to make a backup.

Thankyou very much for your quick reply
I managed to download an official 02 orbit rom from 02 website.
So am going to have a go at flashing a few different cooked roms ..
any suggestions ?

try whatever is near the top or middle of the front page of your forum. Those are usually the newest

First post here so hi everyone !

How to make a backup of yer ROM?

Hi all,
I've red a lot in this forum, got lots of info on how to fix things (i really have!), but despite all the usefull info I got confused...so here's the thing:
I have a HTC Touch Dual (Dutch + Vodafone) where the language is ofcourse Dutch. To cut the long story short...I really like to have an English version of my WM 6.0. I know this can be fixed by upgrading yer ROM, but it's always recommended by ppl in this forum to backup yer ROM first before you replace yer ROM. The question is: How (with what tool) can I make a backup of my current ROM?
Somebody please help me out, I can't find any instruction in this forum how to do that, or at least paste a link where it's explained?
Thank you very much in advance!
cheers,
a guy with a cup of chai

Can you please put the link here for how to back up the ROM for the benefit of others...

CAN ANYONE FIND THIS ROM 1.12.404.1 NLD?
iv been helping a friend for a week now and still no luck, its like it doesnt exist, although, i did find the rom on one site but gotta pay for the download.
he also mentioned ''Gold Card'' im not sure what this is but if anyone knows what to do and wouldnt mind giving me a link or step by step tutorial, this would be a great help.lol
any help will be appreciated.. thank you in advance..
as far as i know, a goldcard is nothing more then the correct rom stored on a SD-card.. it was a way for a lot of commercial people to generate money for bricked devices.
i dont have the image u want though, so im sorry, cant help
you already have helped, lol i read a post this mornin, basicly what you just told me but was unsure because the post was about a differant phone, model etc..
so the only chance to get my friends artemis back to life is with the official rom..
theres plenty of people on this site, (most helpfull, some not lol) but someone out there must have the official nld rom!
cheers..
bricked phone
You can unbrick the phone using a sd card of max. 2 Gb. Search on the formum, i don't remember the exact steps. Basicly, put the rom you want to use on the root of the card, enter the flashmode with the rainbow collored screen and choose the card. Then the flash starts. You can enter the flashmode using the software tool, or use the buttons on your device. For step by step see http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_SD_Card_Flashing
Good Luck.
Did you already searched the wiki? All links are there, although they are outdated.

Downgrade TMO US TP2 to 6.1 original?

Hello all,
Sorry for such a noob question but I have been searching a while and haven't found anything. I am having problems with some of the applications on a TP2 since I have upgraded to the standard 6.5 rom from T-Mobile. Does anyone know where I can download and revert it back to 6.1 T-Mo shipping rom as the programs given to the user for their job won't run on the newer and would like to go back. Thank you for any help or direction you could provide on this.
Please, next time look in the ROM thread there is downloads to get you your stock ROM back but, I give you the link .

Original HTC Touch Diamond ROM

Hey guys,
I have Flash my Rom to upgrade version which i downloaded here. but currently i would like to flash back to my Originl ROM which from the factory.. but i did not backup my ROM.. may i know the followings:
1) where can i find original ROM ( any chances?)
2) may i know how to backup the Original ROM? ( for future)
thanks in advances for your help!
Unbranded, original HTC ROMs can be found on the HTC homepage. Otherwise you have to check with your provider for the branded version.
So, it depends on which version of the Diamond you've got.
Actually, you might find some original shipped ROMs at the wiki as well:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Diamond_Upgrades
For "backup" the ROM look for "dumping the ROM" - if this is what you want, but I guess you won't need it once you got the ROM file from above sources and save it.
Good luck!
Thanks for your information.. will try and let you know. yes.. i mean shipped original HTC Diamond ROM.... Thanks again!
