Lost in Crossbow

Hi guys,
I am a newbie about Crossbow but I would like to upgrade to Crossbow but I am not sure which version would be the more stable? I am using my phone mainly for Phone, Email push, Agenda, Sync with Outlook, will it be fine?
Also, after upgrading to crossbow can I go back to my initial O2 image without too much trouble?
Thank you for your help.
All of your questions can be answered by reading the wiki, and threads.
Everyone will probably say the ROM they are using is the best thing ever, it's a highly personal choice as to what suits you best.
All will do what you want, and yes you can go back, but please, read, and understand what you are going to be doing first BEFORE you flash it. If you mess it up, it's your own fault, and although people will try to help, sometimes inexperience, and lack of understanding can make people do something really stupid.
Thank you Alan.
Indeed with the Wiki I manage to update to crossbow Image.
I give a try at PDAviet latest ROM I will see how it goes.
Thanks for your help.
My dear friend,
There is no need for user feed back.
If I flash a ROM and find it to be bad and recommend to you as good one, u will flash it and find it unsuitable
If I flash a ROM and find it to be good and tell u that its not good, then u lose the advantage of getting a good ROM
So it is better for you to flash and find for yourself which ROM is better. To find out whether it suits your needs
Note : Please read all the instructions for flashing before you start

I finally flash my universal with Crossbow.
It's great so far. I didn't use the push email and other data functionality since I am abroad but I found the speed of the O/S really fantastic.
Thanks guys for your help.

Newbie question

I have a dutch Diamond and i'd like to update my rom version to 1.37.707, but I don't know how to safely do this
Can anybody tell my how I should do this step-by-step?
What softare do I need and where can I find it?
Is this update permanent or can I return to the old rom version?
Thanks,
Henk Jan
read the forums so you'll learn that you will first need to install HardSPL (developer edition) before updating the ROM. It is semi-permanent, you'll need to flash your original ROM to go back. Backing up your current ROM is not straightforward. Search these forums for more information on that.
Could you mind to tell me how to backup my current rom??
thanks!

How to save my current rom ?

Greetings its a while since i posted..
Could someone please post a link to a thread that will detail, how i save my current rom.
Before i flash to a cooked rom many thanks
You cannot save you're ROM. What you can do is save the information and setting stored on you ROM, but not the ROM itself.
to make a backup you can use, SPB backup or one of many other programs that are able to make a backup.
Thankyou very much for your quick reply
I managed to download an official 02 orbit rom from 02 website.
So am going to have a go at flashing a few different cooked roms ..
any suggestions ?
try whatever is near the top or middle of the front page of your forum. Those are usually the newest
First post here so hi everyone !

P.s. I already managed to upgrade my xda mini to Black Diamond, but this one is my main phone

Rom not suitable for your device!!!!!

Hlep please someone,
I am currently running rom 1.34 on my touch, but i went to the HTC website to discover they have a newer rom, version 1.93, when i enter my details on the site to download the newer rom, it say's the rom is not suitable for my device,
what can happen if i install it anyway, or does anybody know of a rom that is suitable for my device,
I like to think i'm a risk taker, and this is a risk i don't mind taking.

Just go to development thread for available custom ROM's. Each ROM's has instructions on how to flash it there too.
1. root ur phone link
2. install clock work recovery via odin link
3. flash custom rom u like link
Just don't forget to back-up your important files like contacts, messages, etc. You can also do a nandroid back-up if you want.
