Steps before Upgrading wm6.1

Hi I have a Kaiser and I can pimp it fine, however looking briefly on the Artmeis section my friend has asked to upgrad hi windows 5 to windows 6.1.
Do I..a) just install the rom in the upgrades section i.e cube version
or..b) is there something I have to install first before doing a rom upgrade.
i.e on the kaiser I had to install Hard-SPL before upgrading, is there something similar that needs to be done..
If the above 2 steps need to be done or just one step can someone please send me a link to those relavent files....I think the title and question put accross is a worthwhile thread for newbies and they can pick it up easily if all the information is replied to in this thread.

A hard-uspl-like program is included in Meschle's and Toms roms. Just execute step1.bat (which is USPL), reset, then step2.bat (which is the actual flasing of the rom).

Hello everybody!
I tried to search the Wiki and this forum but unfortunately I was unsuccessfull in searching the link for downloading the original russian ROM. I have problems with my Diamond and want to get in official repair (warranty) therefore I think I need the original ROM not even an upgraded one from official site. Maybe this is mistake and I can give them my Diamond flashed with any cooked ROM?
Please help.

Surprisingly for 1.37 ROM you need ... 1.37 SPL.
BTW. I do not think that they will realize the SPL if you'll have original ROM. But just to be sure - flash the SPL - it's 1 min...

Inquiery for a Hermes Rom

I'm posting this up for a friend of mine. She has a Hermes htc 8525 on T-mobile. I need to find a 6.1 Rom for her that is just bare bones. Just plain works. No flashy stuff. She wants to add on to it after the install through cabs. So just something that is tried an true, flash an go. Thank you all. Also, if someone wouldn't mind, I'm used to flashing cdma devices, The process is the same, correct? Fi someone wouldn't also mind pointing me to the Hard spl I need, pretty sure the one I have for my mogul won't work for her hermes.

i have a question about the manila on touch hd.. is there a way to update my touchflo3d to an 2.1 version without install a new rom? like using a cab or something??

no. before asking questions, do a search. If you had done that, you would have found numerous posts on this subject.

As stated there is no way without flashing.
But i encourage you to look into that option you will rediscover your phone and its a lot of fun.
Go to the Rom development forum and start reading.
its no so difficult.
I flashed my first rom a few days ago since then i have flashed quite a few ,so i came from the same place as you.

please i've tryed several times to flush my hd but not possible.it's from europe.i want to install wm6.5 but no succes.the version in bootmode is like this:BLAC100

i think you better wait for an official update from htc
if wana change taste try out spb shell ver 3.5
i believe the cooked roms are not with out errors as because they are beta releases ...

T-Mobile Touch Pro2 stock 6.1 ROM

Is the stock 6.1 ROM available? Is it also possible to downgrade from 6.5 to 6.1? I ask because I just want to try it out, and not be stuck with 6.5 for the rest of the phone's life.

I did vote Rhodium. IMO Best phone 2009
I looked, but couldn't find a stock 6.1 ROM for the T-Mobile version.
