T-Mobile Touch Pro2 stock 6.1 ROM - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Is the stock 6.1 ROM available? Is it also possible to downgrade from 6.5 to 6.1? I ask because I just want to try it out, and not be stuck with 6.5 for the rest of the phone's life.

Wrong section
Have a look here, and as long as you have hardspl you can downgrade and upgrade as many time you want

And don´t forget to vote for Rhodium!

I looked, but couldn't find a stock 6.1 ROM for the T-Mobile version.
Thanks for the information though

Here you can find 6.1 ROM´s

Here's how I flashed the stock Rom. You then get the original radio (3.45.25.14) here.

HI.
What is best version of WM6 for this model???
thanks
This question, I have already asked me. The selection of roms at the moment is huge!
How it actually looks with the new official WM6.1?

Go with one of the Schaps Roms
Schaps has made great Roms for both 6.0 and now 6.1. His 6.1 is still a beta, I'm running it with no issues. Great Rom. You may want to hang on until he posts the final version of it (should be any day now, maybe over the weekend).
Just my two cents worth.
Installation instructions you'll find all over this forum. just search for it.
\MIG
Hard to say which ROM is best as it depends on what software you want installed, reliability, performance etc
I have always been an admirer of Schaps, Pays, Black Satin to name a few
All this info can be found if you search these forums
Personally I am using Schaps 6.1 Beta, and looking forward to his full release which is due soon (been waiting now for a few weeks).
Check out the wiki pages for more info
i have found Schaps 4.31 Lite is the best so far just straight up WM6 no 6.1
Thats exactly my point, each person has their own favourite, and this question has been asked 1000's of times in this forum
spartan THIs is a n00b question but if I try Schaps beta 6.1 can I flash back down to lets just say his 4.31??

well, before posting, please look at the second post of this forum (Diamond rom developpment)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
6.5 is a completely new OS so your going to have to install Hard SPL (link in post above)
after that your free to download any chef Roms (don't Ask which one is best because people REALLLY don't like those kind of questions here)
just try a few out see how you like them, or if your feeling up to the challenge download a kitchen and create your own custom 6.5 rom
(PS. Rom = the OS + any programs/tweaks added
kitchen = the tools needed to create a Rom
cooking = the act of using the tools from the kitchen to create a custom rom)

Yeap Look around the forum before you post. THERES NO SUCH THING AS WHICH ROM IS THE BEST - ITS WHAT SUITS YOU.
AND no need to be modest "makeveral" Your BSB 6.5 Rom is clearly ahead of the game
However, There seems to be some competition coming up for you with the new AZTOR 6.5 rom about to be released in the next few weeks.

How to prevent T-Mob US bloatware?

Is there a way to prevent the installation of bloatware on a T-Mobile USA TP2 6.5 ROM? On the ATT Tilt you could reset when it was applying customizations. I tried on the TP2 and searched the forum to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Alternatively a suggestion for a solid lite WM6.5 ROM would work.
Welcome to forums
Why not installing a cooked 6.5 witout all the garbage from t-mob

Sorry; already loaded some programs. Links that are down are:
MSVC (Cab)
WindowsLive (Cab)
New build (09090401) NBH+RUU
New build (09082803) NBH (Mirror is up)
New build (09082803) NBH+RUU (Mirror is up)
New build (09082803) Kitchen & Mirror
I'm liking it so far- thanks!
The trick on the old Tilt of hard-resetting and stopping the loading of "customizations" does not work on the ATT version of the Tilt2/TP2. And I'm betting the same is true on any other carrier-customized versions of 6.5.
You have to either manually remove the bloatwares, or use a cooked ROM.
You COULD always go with the EU WWE ROM from HTC, this will allow you to avoid all the carrier bloat and still maintain a stock ROM if that is what you are looking for.
I'm still sorta new and may be ignorant but how do I identify what "bloatware" is? i have a T-Mobile TP2 and was wondering if there is a tool or app for removal? And when u guys say rom do u mean flashing? I don't want to high- jack the thread but is there a flash faq?

ROM Flash FAQ is in the TP2 ROM forum- xda-developers > HTC Rhodium: Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 >Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 ROM Development
Third sticky titled [Resources] Flashing your First GSM Rhodium Rom (For Noobs)
I'm too new to post links I guess
'Bloatware' is slang for programs that typically have no real utility except to waste space/processor speed. There is probably no hard and fast rule as to what is bloatware and what isn't- one man's garbage is another's treasure. Mostly what goes in the category on the T-Mob TP2 would be TeleNav (better free alternatives, far better paid apps) the app/ringtone store(seems like it's aimed at pre-pay phones) trial-games that are crap anyways, etc. On my T-Mob TP2 the original ROM had a bunch of stuff that didn't even work right. YMMV

Where to find WM 6.1?

Following a long discussion thread about the (awful) new menus in WM6.5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=669828&goto=newpost
I have now made the decision that I want to downgrade back to 6.1. Can anyone please tell me where I can get a copy of this? I'm in the UK on Vodafone, and of course their official site is only now offering 6.5. Thanks.

i myself might go back to 6.1 for the sake of the old school TF3D 2.1 and less RAM usage

Many thanks for the link.
