MaUpgradeUt_noID *AND* Country ID Error 120

I have upgraded my QTEK 9000 German version several times with different ROMs, including WWE versions without any problem. Needless to say that I have used the noID tool.
Now I want to install the new version from Jwrightmcps, but I always get the Country ID Error. I even could not install ROMs which I have installed in the past. Always the Error 120.
Any hints?

How about turning your firewall OFF?
Make sure when you plug-in your Universal, wait a couple of seconds for your computer to recognize the device before running the MaUpgradeNoID Tool.

Firewall is off (now). But the same behavior.
The device is recognized. The proof is that the screen with the old versions (radio etc.) and the new versions, are displayed correctly. After pressing "Upgrade" Active Sync 4.2 is disconnected, the QTEK is going into boot loader mode (USB v. 1.01) and after a few seconds the beloved Country Code Error appears on the PC.

uninstall active sync 4.2 and install version 4.1. that should fix the problem

I am confused. Aren't you supposed to put your device on boot loader mode first, then plug your Universal, then activate the MaUpgrade Tool. It is only after this that you will see the screen with the old and new versions.

thanks for your confusion ;-)
Going manually in the boot loader helped. I havn't done this in the past, because it was not mentioned in the "official" readme.doc of MaUpgradeUt_noID, even it was mentioned in some posts of this forum.
But the disadvantage is that you do not see the version numbers of the current ROMs befor you click on "Upgrade". Correct?

Correct. Glad you sorted it out.

Sorry I advised wrongly, I assumed you were trying this in bootloader mode.

htc p3300 dead and no power

Today i tried to flash my PDA back to amazing artemis 1.0
beacuse i like it
but i had stuck in my computer I stoped flashing but my mobile is not working and not charging
it's not macking boot loade mode
please help me

remove battery during several minutes and try again to enter in boot loader.

Hi bro, hold on the voice-dail button (record button), & hold the power button at the sametime. then wait several seconds, you'll get the multi-color screen.
now it's time to plugin the usb for upgrading or recovering.
I met the problem that it always failed when the progress was 3%. i downloaded several roms from internet. how could i know which rom is correct for my device(p800 in China). Besides, my device could just enter the boot mode, so it's impossible to unlock spl for it.
and The worst thing is that there are several hours(not minutes) between each time to power on it. It means i should wait 1 or 2 or 3 hours (who the hell know) to re-flash it after i was failed to flash previously.
is anybody had the same experience. that's really make me crazy.

you've removed the microSD, right?
If yes, did you try with the original ROM for the P3300?
p800=p3300, but i'm not 100% sure...

Hello Guys,
I have the same problem with my P3300.
The problem is that the phone do not start and I cant put in the cooked rom because I did not make the Uspl when it was still alive.
Is it possible to USPL the rom also if is not connected whit activesync?

yes I'm Italian, thank you for the reply.
I had the original ROM, but now the phone is broken, if I try to switch it on the system go in crash in few seconds.
i tried to put in in bootloader mode (colored screen), but i can not load in ROM because the process crash when is at 3%, can I USPL the ROM from the sd card or when is off?

Are you sure that have you removed the SD card when you flash?
O.T.: me too, if you prefer to speak italian with me you can write in Italian in O.T. but you must wrote also in english

you can try to extract the nbh file from the executable of the original ROM and with SD Flash but I'm not sure ... I'm sorry, now I must run away, see you tomorrow

Dutty's ROM locked my phone?

So...I've been using an older version of Dutty's ROM, but I haven't updated in a few weeks.
Tonight, out of nowhere, my phone will now only show a screen saying:
"This concludes the beta test of this software release. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers.
To obtain a newer release or further information, please revisit the web site that you used to obtain your current beta release."

I tried downloading the most recent version of Dutty's rom and loading it, but the computer says "Cannot connect to your PDA phone..."
What's going on here!?
I have tried resetting the phone via the reset button (under the stylus), and I have tried restarting the phone via soft/hard reset, but nothing works!
Everytime my phone turns on, it goes immediately to this white page saying the "This concludes the beta test of this software release..."
How can I make my Diamond work again?!?
Please help!

i did a hard rest.. didnt fix it.. plus i lost all the stuff i had on there.. but it's ok

step by step instruction would be great

I think you must put your diamond in "bootloader mode". and you will reflash your phone with a new rom, or another rom...
Booloader mode (usb) = Volume down + reset
In the screen (down) = serial, and if you connect with usb you can see "usb" and now you can reflash!

how can i reflash? i'm VERY new with this smartphone stuff my first smartphone so i donno a lot of stuff..
does it need HSPL 1.24? cause if it does i cant seem to run DiamondCustomRUU after my phone went black screen

Same for me on Dutty 2.3, but did hard reset and let phone set up. Do NOT change the date, I left mine as September, and phone will continue to set up and start. Now what I need to know is if I flash with latest rom will that allow me to set current date?

You put "volume down" and, in same time, you put "reset" (you hold these 3 seconds) => and you enter in bootloader, then you connect your diamond to USB and launch installation...
i think you don't need a HSPL if you want flash with the same rom... but you may use another HSPL for another rom...

OK - so i just started in Bootloader mode as suggested...
after that, i plugged it in to my computer vis USB.
then, i opened the most recent rom updater (supplied by dutty...see the thread in this forum).
it is currently updating, and everythign is looking good.
so, why do you have an experation on your rom's dutty??? what's up with that?!?

but let say i want to flash the SwithBL Rom.. it's not the one i used b4.. do i still need HSPL? if yes how do i install so i dont get the black screen and it actually works?

[Q] Flashed CMDA Hard SPL to a GSM Diamond

U guys MUST have HardSPL INSTALLED on ur phones BEFORE trying anything of this out...
I Suggest u use HArdSPL 1.40 Unsigned (Its in the RAR file)
AFTER u have installed HardSPL 1.40 Unsigned
Unrar and go to step 2 folder and run -> DiamonCustomRUU.exe
Just do what it says and update.
After the phone restart copy DiamUnlock.exe from the step3 folder on to your diamond
(Anywhere) and run it.
The DiamUnlock.exe closes itself very fast, i have sucessfully made it by first launching the
program and quickly and several times press up button and touch the screen
if you'r lucky the screen stay and you can sim-unlock your diamond!!
the problem that phone came in step 2 after 100% write , it show error 262

I am not sure you can.
Does it go into bootloader mode? If not, might be JTAG is your only option.

When you say 'totally dead' do you mean you get absolutely nothing when you try plugging in the usb cable ?
Logically as soon as you plug in the cable it'll power on into the tri-colour screen.
It'll do this even if you remove the battery.

Serves you right for using a leaked unlocker program - Should have gone here . thanks to Olipro as the leaked version was buggy.
I do hope you get this fixed though. (I would help if I could really).

Just this **** happened to me too ... because I did not read carefully ROM-destination, but we resolved the issue after a couple, three hours of bloody despair ...
Be sure before you get to work, you already have prepared a full ROM image (....nbh) for your Diamond, that is to contain radio too. If you do not have a full version, download a full version first and make sure that contains both ROM and Radio.
1. Take cover behind the phone
2. USB link cable to the computer and phone
3. Open the phone
4. Enter bootloader mode as follows:
Keep the volume down key and click with the stylus reset button (red button which is located behind the device ) for 3-4 seconds in the same time with the volume down key, then you can get out your stylus, and continued to keep volume down key, until the bootloades screen appears, now you can release the volume key down too.
And now, just simply launch DiamonCustomRUU.exe to start your flash, using a file manager, and is ready ... you have a new phone!

Touch Diamond doesn't boot

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to cook a WM6.5 in Portuguese (I used some files rom WM6.1PTG and I translated some others) with Visual Diamond Kitchen and in the cooking part all went well, I have the .ndh file generated and without errors.
Then I flash the Diamond and after the flashing is concluded the diamond makes itself a reboot and stops after the first boot screen with TouchDiamond and the red information about the versions.
I tried to do a hard restart, soft, remove and out again the batery without success.
Does anybody have the same problem?
I'll appreciate help.

Try to change the rom . Pull out the stylus , Press the reset button and hold the VOLUME DOWN and the right down button . After connect to pc

Try to restore first your original shipped rom and then reflash your own rom.

Hi All,
I have the same problem, I flashed MightygroovyROM, after first boot, it stops, there is only "Touch Diamond" on the screen. I tried hard reset but doesnt work. Since activesync connection couldnt establish, I couldnt do anything.
Anyone know another technique to connect without activesync ? or is there any other way to go back old rom any flaeshing a new rom ?
