[Q] High Capacity Battery! - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom Accessories

Any one know where can i get a High Miliamp ( ex 2500Ma) like battery for my Xda Atom Exec. ? I found one for my previous Imate Jamin worked fine.

hi, i think i found 1 in ebay, 3500mah

might cause problems due to excessive heat
i've read from one of the post that extended battery create much heat and leaves our dear love atoms into unstable state, possible permanent damage. let us know how it turns out...?
it's definitely good bye, to my metal casing/protector, if this extended battery is any good...

sorry double posted somehow.

I use MUGEN type and that has been very good. No over heating and lasts whole day when using GPS software when the normal battery would be dead in 2-3 hours. here is one site that sells on the web.

In fact the same battery and cover fits both the standard atom and the Atom Life.....probably the Atom Exec as well.

50 quid + delivery,u must be joking go to batterytrader much cheaper

I bought one just a month ago and so far cero problems, no heating, no leaking, only longer power...My previous battery (the original) could only mantain energy for 1 day without using the pda, but if I turned on wifi it only lasted 1 hour.
So I use to mantain my atom exec connected at my car and at my work, now since I bought this new battery 3500ma, I havent connected it to my car, and havent dropped charge below 50% in a month! because every day I connect it to my PC at work but after using the device for the weekend in a normal fashion I only reconnect it on Monday.
Only drawback is the battery is bigger double sized so it came with a different back cover.
I have paid 25 dollars at ebay and I am happy with it.

Used and I can recommed....
Hi all,,
I'm using a rechargeable Lithium-Polymer battery from the company Cameron Sino Technology... It has a capacity of 3500mAh and 3,7 V...
I just bought it 3 weeks before and charges only 3 times in very low usage. (a few phone calls, a few e-mail). And app. 7 days I can use it.
But it think, I can use it with my normal usage 3 or 4 days, not more...
I'm very happy
regards

Wow, 3500 mAh? Imagine will it's works on my O2 XDA Atom Black than just 1530 mAh!

How much you paid for that 3500mAh battery ?
I'm interesting too it could be so nice...

I have done some efforts regarding battery capacity measurement
Just lookup this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5558383#post5558383

find it in ebay .....

HI all, is there anyway to combine 2 1500mAh together? assume that we can make a new cover for the battery?

Does anyone know if there are higher capacity batteries available here in the UK, and if so where I can source them from?
Thanks,
David.

I have a xda2s (MDAIII) and i spent absolutely ages searching and asking around trying to find the same product but i've managed to find it, (just testing it out now) the stock one is a 1490 Lithium Polymer battery and this extended one i'm trying out is a 2400 Lithium Polymer battery and it is only slightly larger than the stock one and it still fits inside the cradle! It costs 30 GBP. If you want some i might get some more, let me know
go to http://www.gpsforless.co.uk

i got 2 2400 mAh batteries for my xda iis, both $30 each which ends up being about €15 pounds each in the uk. i got them on ebay and im on my phone right now =).
I want to buy the 2400 mAh battery but I was thinking, does it fit in the original leather case that comes with the Blue Angel?

I've got no problem fitting it into the bundled case... maybe you could try?
I'll get one of those batteries when I arrive to Dubai. Going there soon. Let's hope the battery life increases a lot!
Hi,
If u are going to Dubai, better get 3300 mAh battery. In India it is available at 3300 Rs...around 80-90 USD..It is slightly bulgy..but its performance is wonderful
Wow I never knew it existed. Thanks.

Not sure if they ship to the UK, but it gives you an idea of what is out there..
So the 3300 mAh battery fits in the cradle AND the original leather case?
Last I heard the extended battery does fit on the cradle and the case. Oh and it's 3550 mah battery not 3300 mah (that was their older model, this is version 3)
hope this helps
Any charging problem?
Hi! I have purchased ext.battery 2400mah 3 days ago, and met some problem. I can't charge it 100% max - 79% and all my plugins don't understand that it is not its native battery - for example they say (Uptime and other meters also) that it will work for 5-6 hours. In fact it works about 15 hours and more, but I have no actual information as for my battery status.
Has anyone met this problem? And how can I solve it??
Thanks a lot...

so far so good
I purchased a 2400 mah at ebay. It came in yesterday and I had it charge overnight. It did go all the way up to 100%. I'm going to test the hell out of it by watching movies, playing mp3s, wifi, bluetooth, phone, etc.. I'll let you guys know if it's worth it or not. So far I commuted 35 minutes by train this morning and had the phone on and watched an ep of Family Guy on it. When I got to work it was at 98%. I have yet to compare it to my old battery 1490mah. I don't think that it'll be at 98% by the time I get to work. We'll see...
ive been very happy with the 2400mah battery i bought a few weeks ago...got it from here...good price too.

Great news!! The battery is awesome. All day yesterday, Xmas, I shot video, played mp3's, and used the phone. The battery was at 91% when I got home and that's after being on all day long!!

2 weeks earlier bought a 2400mah battery from them, ordered online, arrived in 2 days (on a fast delivery), I have charged it overnight, put it in XDA-IIi on 20 Dec Wednesday 9:00pm still on 51%, I am making 3-4 calls per day of approx 3-4 mins average, Battery came with the back cover because its a bit thicker than the normal 1200/1300mah battery, and it DOES NOT fit in the regular leather pouch. But overall battery is superb.

The Cover is crap!
The 1800mAh isnt easy to find ... i think its the best Batterie in the moment. If HTC make a extanded batterie kit ... buy it! I have a Startrek with new Coverer and the Quality is very high!
Do you have a link or a pic of the battery? why the extanded covers sucks can you explain that?

My friends and I are using the 1800mAh batteries from this seller http://search.stores.ebay.com.au/SO...dgetsQQfsooZ2QQfsopZ2QQsaselZ30323434QQsofpZ0
Comparing to my one year old 1200mAh original battery the results were obvious. I could get more than 90 hours of standby with a few mins of call each day. Something I couldn't have thought of with a PocketPC phone.
It's been about 5 months since my purchase, the battery is still good. I heard from others that non-genuine battery tend to have shortened lifespan in just a few months.
Only about 3 to 5 grams heavier and 1mm thicker (which leaves no space between the back cover and the battery) if you do notice these minute differences. It's crucial that the battery won't make your Prophet any thicker!
My only complain was, if you asked, that it took almost a week for the delivery. Otherwise I'm happy with it.

forgot to say, battery is not heating up at all - I left it on charge for 3 or 4 hours last night and nothing - however, residual charge is actually powering the PDA so there is life in there. Must be the chip that reports on battery condition and charge etc.
Also, I have tried both in 3 different PDA (m600's) and same problem. One phone has an 1800mah battery purchased from ebay and that looks exactly the same but works fine - so it's not as if the PDA can't handle non-standard size.
Hope this helps.

NEED HELP:4800mAh Cameron Sino Battery and original 1620mAh battery problems!

first of all im sorry if this issue seems to be redundant to all....
im a bit confused to some of the post on this forum regarding this issue...
(so please bear with me...especially to the mods out there)
i do have this battery and it seems that it wont even last for atleast a day...
is this normal for this brand of battery or 4800mAh battery?
how long is the normal standby time for 4800mAh battery?
i also have an original 1620mAh battery and it even last longer than my 4800mAh battery..
can anyone here help me on what to do?
is there anyone in here can prove that 3200 or 1620 is much much better than 4800?
and one more question...i also have a 2 spare 1620mAh battery....
one of it turns off at 75% the other at 21%....
i've tried resetting them both but no of luck..still the same..
is there any other possible way for me to use them and drain them up to 0% or atleast 10%?
thanks in advance!
3200 will last twice as long as 1620; 4800 three times.
However, this is given they are all the same manufacturer. Some batteries are better than others. Cheap eBay batteries are known to give problems - however I have had good as well as bad one's from eBay.
Also, batteries will wear out after a while - I think suggested time is a year or two.
I have four 1620's which last from 50 minutes to 3 hours (constant useage with backlight on). My 3200 lasts 6 hours.
I find that whichever (fully charged) battery is in Uni when I upgrade ROM, will give accurate reading. The reading becomes inaccuate (turning off a x%) when I swap for different battery.
ROM Upgrade & battery
so your saying that when i upgrade or change rom..
1. the battery should be at 100% charge..?
2. and the battery that i used when upgrading should be the one to be used until it drains to 0%? coz when i replace the battery thats the time it will shut off at X%?
is my understanding correct?
if i may ask...what brand of battery would you recommend for a 4800mAh?
and would you recommend 4800mAh?
ive seen DUKE NUKEM's post..he's selling batteries right?im planning to buy 2 pcs of 4800mAh....but the problem is i dont have a PAYPAL account and im a bit confused coz some say 3200 is much better than 4800..and some say 1620 is the best...
thanks for your help sir jonny....
Yes, you are correct.
I don't have a 4800, so can't comment.
Anyone else got a recommendation?
The main reason that people prefer one battery over another is due to the size. Most people seem to like the 1600 because the Universal is fat enough without having a huge battery sticking out the back! Other people may be biased toward a certain capacity because they bought a duff battery.
Personally I'll use a 1600 and carry a spare sometimes... unless I know I'm going to need juice (for a plane trip etc) and I'll stick in my 3200.
what to do on batteries shutting off at x%?
sir jonny do you know a way on how to correct those batteries that shuts off at x%?
coz what im doing is
1.charge the battery to full
2.put an adhesive tape to cover the second connector of the battery
3.then drain the battery using my UNI or using 3 LEDs...
4.charge the battery again to full
the problem is that it still shuts off at x%...
some claims that this corrects the problem..
am i doing the right way or is there any possible way?
ive seen some threads regarding this issue but in my case it dont work..
ive got 3 pcs of 1620mAh with this problem..
thanks again for your help...
Did you charge it with your original charger? If not, you can't get 4800 mah.

I would suggest stay away from the Sino Cameron batts. They simply suck. I have one 1650 and another 4800. Both not very up to stretch, especially the 4800. By all means it does NOT last three times as the standard batt. I'd say perhaps just about two times in reality. Perhaps not. I just keep seeing the batt level dropping fast. Plus the build quality is a real issue. Somehow the 4800 gets too fat and the batt cover cannot completely fit in the slot. Three times the size but just a little power boost. It's cheap, but now I regret having wasting money on them...
Then I switched to Momax. It's just a standard 1500. But it shines! Battery drains pretty slowly and stably (no sudden dropping). It's a bit more expensive than those crappy Camerons, yet it's worth the extra dollars.
Yes, right
It´s always better to go for the original one

If you want a good battery for your Universal, I will suggest you to buy a 3200 mAh battery from ebay, it's the best
Which brand of 3200 batt do you recommend?
I have 2 similar 3200mah batteries but to speak frankly, I used them mainly at home and when I go out I take 2 1620mah batteries with me. The 3200mah is simply too huge & heavy - since the Uni is a big phone, people may find it funny if they see the overal size especially when you are putting it near your cheek when receiving/making calls! You can check this link - the seller also sells cheap 1620mah:

Which is a good or recommended battery for wildfire S

Hi Folks,
I recently purchased a HTC Wildfire S. I am quite disappointed by the battery performance. The dialer and android system always shows 49 % usage. Is it a bug in GB or is this normal behavior ?
I feel my battery drains out very fast in a day. I usually do a 20-30 mins of call/day. About 10-20 Mb of internet data via 2G. But at the end of the day around 8-8.30 PM my battery is almost at 25-30% or sometimes less than that. I have disabled all the vibrating notifications. Wi-Fi and bluetooth OFF, I have installed juice defender which shuts the data off when the phone is idle. Though there is some improvement after this, i still feel the battery is going down.
When googled about this, everyone had almost the same complaint. And the only suggestion was to have an extra 1500 or 1900 mAh battery. Now which is the recommended battery without making any change to the hardware etc
coz i see lot of them taking a 3500 mAh battery with extra cover and changing the contacts and all. I dont want to do all those but just to improve my battery performance. Can you help me out ?
I use this battery :
http://www.batterychampion.fr/produ...rtmentProductId/76703263/shopGroupId/95658473
I can use my device almost during 3 days without any charge : calls, sms, internet and games.
Its very large. I wanted a small phone...
The 1500mAh Replacement Battery For HTC HD7 fits the Wildfire S and gives you an approximate 20-30% boost in battery capacity.
Edit: Nvm, never bought a new battery lol
and what about 1900? any suggestion?
and btw, 1500 and 1900 battery has same sizes as the original? only the 2200 and 3500 needs a new back cover ,right?
the only extended battery worth getting is the Cameron Sino 2200mah version. Yes, it does make you phone quite a bit thicker...but it's the only one i've found that does what it's supposed to do.
I tried first a 3500mah version, but after a couple of weeks it lost it's ability to hold charge almost completely, so it was actually worse than the stock battery.
Next was the eCell 2350mah version (Gold), this didn't last much longer than the stock battery either, although it did give a litte extra, but no where near the 2x capacity of the stock, as it should have been. (i think i got like an extra hour or two oout of it)
and finally....the CS 2200mah version.....where I usually get around 8 hours tops on the stock battery (i leave things syncing every hour, quite alot of texts every day, a fair bit of internt use too), I can now use my phone for 2 full days straight, and by night-time on the second day it's finally down to around 10-15% battery left, so go mad playing games for an hour or two to really run it down to nothing, then leave it on charge over-night.
I would highly reccommend this battery, it's the only one you'll ever need, and you can actually make use of the "smart" features of your phone....I can actually use programs that need GPS without having to worry if my battery will die, leaving me stranded
it only costs around £10 on ebay.....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150696338487
the thickness is something you get used to, and some people even find it a bit more comfortable to hold....so it's not necessarily a bad thing.
A review of the Cameron Sino.
It comes as advertised.

From my personal experiences the HD7 replacement doesn't give that boost. Maybe I got a weak unit... Soon I will order another one just to make sure.
I suggest you check this thread for comparisons between different batteries and results:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1419930
On page 3 of that thread I show my tests and comparisons of:
HTC Stock 1230mAh
HD7 1500mAh replacement
ECell Gold 2430mAh
Thanks to d33ps1x for his great public service testing several batteries and showing us what we can expect from them. If he didn't open that thread (and others) I probably wouldn't have shared my results.
I suggest everybody take a good luck before spending their cash.

3500... i rly hope it will be that much, but it will more likely be 1700 to 2000 MAX
I thought that too but a friend bought it and told me that his phone stays on for a least 2 days without charging it.
When it arrives my home I'll post my results with pics of the difference.

I got the Cameron Sino Tech 2200 mAh about a week ago.
I cant give an accurate review of the battery but I've found that its well worth the extra size for the extended life, i get a couple of days out of it now.
Its cheap as well and now I have a spare battery so if I know i'm gonna be away from a charger I can take the original battery with me.

Like other people have seen (d33ps1x for example), the Cameron Sino 2200 mAh is the best bang for the buck. Even if it makes your phone "fat" it is a real power improvement.
The ECell Gold 2430mAh has barely 1600mAh inside so it's obviously false advertising when they say that they use Li-Polymer. I have one and ordered the second unit because even if it doesn't correspond to what's promised, it still gives a nice boost comparing to stock.
I'm also curious how different the two batteries can be. The second one will arrive this week. I will prepare it and test it as soon as I get it in the mail.
All those 1500mAh you can find on eBay are only marginal improvement when comparing to the stock battery. If they can provide 1300-1350mAh then you are a very lucky owner.
There are some amazing batteries out there, but they are too expensive.
I'm talking about Mugen Power Batteries:
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/
I had one of their batteries on my HTC Desire and it was something out of other world. If you follow their instructions (that come with the battery) you won't regret buying one. Right now the Wildfire S 1500 mAh is out of stock and will be ready for shipment on the 17th February. This means they're being produced now and who buys them will get brand new batteries, that haven't stayed for months in a warehouse. If they were cheaper I would definitely order one. If Mugen Power announces 1500mAh, they're definitely inside.
I want to buy the Cameron sino 2200 may, but will it fit a metro pcs wildfire s???
I get one or two days? I think that's good? It's longer when wifi is off.

I got the battery, it fits, but it's BIG! I got a soft silicone case and it works. It stretches and fits fine, it protects the phone without a back cover.
The battery is a definite improvement over the original.

Will a new original Samsung battery improve battery life after 2 years?

I've own the SGS3 almost since launch day. Soon it will be 2 years old.
I'm getting 3 hours SOT and 24 hours total.
I'm thinking of buying a new original 2100 battery to see if it improves battery life. Would it?
Anyone has tried this?
Thanks.

I haven't tried it yet since I'm hopefully getting a new phone soon but I do believe it would help, maybe an extra hour SOT because I know my battery was amazing back 2 years ago and now I get the same times you do if not worse.
After a year on mine I was only getting 1700mah, So now I get a new Anker 2200mah battery every 6 months because they are just as good as original but do last longer.
Theoretically yes! battery life should improve, as you will be having a new battery.
My battery is just over a year old and i get around a 1d12h worth of battery time and roughly 3.5 to 4 hours SOT.
I recently bought a Pisen 2100mah battery off the internet and for the same SOT i got more usage. maybe 1d 20h nearing the 2d use.
n.b; wifi is always on. i use 3G for like 30 mins during a day
from what I've heard, newer generations of batteries, like ones that ship with SGS3, should not be drained to 0% with phone shutting down. it was advised to charge at low percents like 1% to 5% while phone is still on

Of course it would and if you dont have problem with size and weight i recomend you to get samsung's 3000mhA battery. Why not getting a bigger battery
It depends how old the battery is though. All Li-ion batteries degrade over time, even if they aren't used. So if you get a 2 year old battery, that has been sitting on a shelf somewhere, it won't help as much as you'd hoped. Depending on the temperature and charge level it was stored at, it could have lost a lot of its capacity.
So the trick is to get a newly manufactured battery, which isn't so easy since most sellers don't write this information.

Since a bigger battery means the battery is thicker, the original back cover wouldn't fit, then you need to use a specific cover which would make your phone heavier.
Right now I am in this trouble,I got a Onite 4500mAh extended battery with a blue cover, hopefully it's a great product, shipping as listed and battery performs exactly as listed,I just don't like the cover,it made my phone looked heavier.I was wondering maybe I should choose a power bank and put back my OEM one on.

This is true. You also need to account for your usage. If you do a lot of activity that heats your battery up (games, navigation, etc.) Then even a shelf stored battery will help since heat is another Li-ion killer.
My S3 was 2 years old in May of this year. I have been having issues with the battery and charging. My USB charging port has the classic loose connection issue as does the headphone jack. I see the fix and YouTube videos to repair but have not yet done that. I last week got my new OEM Samsung battery and the external charging kit. I just upgraded to Kitkat 4.4.2 NDA8 despite being eligible for a new phone discount from Sprint. My S3 is a 32gb unit and I will not buy a S5 with only 16gb, no way no how.
The new battery is performing very well. It is so close on updating to 4.4.2 that I can not be certain that there were not issues with my rooted 4.1.2 build after so many months. For sure the new battery is lasting longer. I think it was worth the $42.03 spent on the charger and battery as my USB port is in question and I can always swap batteries and charge with the external charger.
My S3 has a new lease on life and I can wait for new tech before upgrading. xda developers forum - root - and the desire for liberty is a powerful combination.
why not try using wireless charging? the qi reciever + charger should not cost you mote than 35 bucks. and you can still use your current battery, battery cover, & nfc, unlike powermat.

A 2 year battery will definitely be worn-out. Depending on the charging cycle count, could be only a 20%,but maybe a 50 or 70%.
I bought a Zerolemon 7000mAh battery few months a go, I'm usually getting 4-5 days on normal usage, and 11-13h of screen on.
Best bought I have ever made.
