Can someone with a slide and handcent 3.0.4 test something for me?
Can you try and send yourself a MMS PICTURE and see if handcent will display it?
I'm currently having the follwing issue when the following happens
Send a MMS picture using handcent to another phone using handcent the MMS comes through blank with a <Subject:> only bubble.
HOWEVER if I open the thread in the default messaging the picture is there as a picture (not a slideshow).
If I send a MMS with the default app to another phone using handcent it displays fine. (viewing the same thread in default messaging shows the image as a "slideshow")
If I receive a MMS from a phone using handcent handcent displays it empty (but the default app shows the picture, again as a "image" not slideshow)
I tried this on two slides tonight with the same results. Mine and my sisters. My sisters' had NO other apps installed, just handcent.
I'd really like someone else with a slide to try to send yourself a MMS and post what happens here. (compose a new message, hit menu, hit attach, hit picture, add a picture, hit send)
And maybe try to send another handcent user a MMS the same way and another slide user if possible.
MMS works perfectly as long as its not from another handcent user
I'll check it out in the morning.
My mms won't even go thru on my phone with handcent
I don't do alot of MMS on my phone, but I just tried this for the first time today, and you're correct sir.
Messages just show up blank with the <Subject: no subject> line in there. I also can't seem to send MMS to other people (wife's g1) at all, they just don't make it to her.
Everything works correctly with the stock messaging app, but I really don't like the stock messaging app. Anyone think we could get the apk for the messaging app from a g1 or something?
handcent might need to update the app in order to send the mms properly

Thanks, I'm glad it's not my slides.
Also, can you try to attach from the camera and see if it sends out a pic?
(menu -> attach -> camera, take picture, click send)
It doesn't send anything for me, it just saves a picture on the card.

Same thing. Saves the pic on the card but doesn't actually attach it.
http://bbs.handcent.com might be good to start a thread there, although I asked a question a while back and nobody ever got back to me on it.
yeah I have a long thread going there with a guy.
It's probaby something with the slide and/or sense
It came through 40 min later and was blank. couldn't view it in handcent. i'm gonna send them an email
Has anybody been getting app updates in the market with their MTS with T-Mobile?

Yes. A few days ago I couldn't see Handcent, now I can.
There is an article on phandroid about google fixing something with the market in the past few days.
Handcent is back up and running good
I'm using Arcsoft MMS 5.2.8.45 on MightRom's Full Force Rom.
Something's going funny with my picturemail.
When someone sends one, I can enter the message and click download.
It used to be that after I clicked download the picture would come up, now all that happens is the "download" button grays out.
Can I make it auto-open? Where does Arcsoft download the pictures to?
I'm sorry, but what does this have to do with Android?
When I get an MMS and click it, it plays as blank audio file and I can't see the picture unless I tap-hold and save-as. Before the picture would show up in that actual text...
Anyone?
Is this done when anyone sends you a MMS? I know when my brother sends me a MMS on his blackberry I get it like that.
I'm on most recent firmware and most recent CM10.1 nightly and suddenly MMS pics will no longer send. It tries to send but then fails with messages "message not sent" and "service not activated on network"
This has never happened before and happened all the sudden yesterday. I had sent one pic that did work, then a few minutes later I tried another and it failed in this manner, as have all further attempts. I even deleted all of my sms/mms messages thinking there was something wrong with the messaging program. No help. What it APPEARS is happening is that instead of the program sizing the images down to an attachment-friendly size, it is trying to send the full ~2MB jpegs and it would seem that is too big for MMS. But if this is the case, I have no idea why it would have started doing this all the sudden.
Is there anything in the messaging or gallery programs that I can reset or refresh that might help this?
Thanks

If you can send a SMS (simple text message) then all you need to do is have your provider take you out, and then reinsert you into the network. SOMETIMES, sending a picture to yourself after a battery removal boot can get things going too.....
You also could try the basic and use app manager and clean out the cache of whatever app you're using to send the MMS msg, and retry it. Remember, the MMS takes a while longer to send vice the SMS transmission.
Good Luck!
Hi i recently installed the Jedi X ROM and it has been working great.
The problem I'm running into now is that I can't view group text and photos. I also can't send photos as text message.
The grp text shows up as a download button but when I push it it shows downloading and then it stops and this message pops up "Currently unable to download please try again later"
When I send a photo text it shows as it's uploading but never finish.
I was able to recieve grp text and photos and also send out photo until recently. What could be the problem?
I look up this problem all I found was just remove you battery and put it back in for a reset. This don't work. It also said if it don't work reset you phone to factory but I don't wanna do that.
bump
No one knows how to fix this?
I'm on tweaked and my Mms won't download. It'll send but not dl.. It just started happening recently.
