Touch screen problem - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi guys.
I just had a problem with my XDAIIs. After I sync it with my PC and restored the back up files, the touch screen suddenly doesn't work. I reset it to scratch, now I couldn't even proceed with the reinstallation of the OS as I can no longer proceed with the touchscreen alignment..
Im stucked with nothing on my XDAIIs.. any help?
THanks

There is a program called "Remote screen alignment" from Code factory (http://www.codefactory.es/en/products.asp?id=244) which will allow you to skip the alighnment process. This can, however, result in an incorrectly alligned screen (Don't count on entering your pin from the touch screen, use the keyboard instead.)
My touch screen was unable to sense some of the screen which made it useless, after it broke (don't drop it on rocks) I completely replaced the touch screen. This requires some expertese in the use of a soldering iron and how to dismantle your device (Tx-6 required).

I cannot get screen taps to work

My Artemis Orbit on O2 froze so I did a soft reset - no luck so I did a hard reset. The phone boots to the green screen which says 'Tap the screen to set up your Windows Mobile-based device etc'
However there is no cross to tap and screen taps do nothing.
I've flashed the ROM via the Bootloader screen (followed instructions to load the correct O2 Operator NBH file to the root of a Micro SD card) a few times but no luck.
I cannot find anything on this problem on the site but I can miss things!
Can anyone advise what I need to do?
Thanks,
Stew
Seems nobody knows what I should do here.
I can get to Bootloader and see ActiveSync but it won't go past the 'setup screen' where it asks for screen taps to align the screen. There is no 'cross' on display.
Which part of the software controls this?
On the inital screen there is no cross, but a screen tap anywhere should start the setup proceedure.
I cannot get a screen tap to be accepted anywhere. The Green Setup screen appears asking for a tap but that does nothing - I'm thinking a tap with a large hammer is coming to it soon! Only joking!
Is this a hardware fault I've got rather than a software problem?
There is no screen cover on it as I've read than can hamper screen taps.

Touch Screen Not Working

I just received my Z1C and I've been having lots of touch screen problems.
When I get to the unlock screen, a lot of times nothing will register on the touch screen. I have to push the power button to turn the screen on and off to get the touch screen to register, and a lot of the time I have to turn the screen on and off more than once to get it to work.
Another issue I'm having is in the settings menu. The top portion of the screen doesn't register any touches. For example, when I tap on the Wifi settings, nothing happens. I have to pull down the screen like half a centimeter, then tapping Wifi will work. This is so frustrating...
Is there any way to fix this without rooting, unlocking bootloaders, or installing a custom rom?

already tried a hard reset ?
Yes. I've done a factory reset, and nothing has changed. Nothing registers on the unlock screen when I touch it. I have to turn the screen on and off multiple times to get it to work.
I am using the free screen protector that came with the phone. I doubt that's the issue though.
This can't be normal. I'm thinking I just got a lemon...

if youre done a factory reset and the problem persist im pretty much sure its a hardware problem...
anyway, go to about -> diagnostic and make the touchscreen test.
any issues there?
if i were you, i would reinstall the firmware using SUS to be 100% sure its HW problem.
Already you try a hard reset. I think it is your harware problem. If you have a warranty you can go customer care. I am sure they solve your problems.
not working at all
Hi guys, my diplay is also down - broken - and i have a gesture lock on. I can not unlock the screen. How can I perform a hard reset without touching a display? I was searching whole internet for two days and nothing helped.
If I connect phone to the PC, it must be unlocked.
I need some files from internal storage :/

[Q] Unresponsive screen? Stylus works though

Hi!
3 days ago my Note II started acting weird: About 50% of the time my note didn't respond to my touch (finger), which only increased as time passed by; it's unresponsive 99% of the time now. Funny thing is that the stylus (probably due to the wacom digitizer) still works.
I tried a factory reset and erased the cache. A hard reset is not possible for me, as the "hard buttoned home button" doesn't work (for months...I destroyed it when I repaired my screen and glue got stuck). U use a soft home button now, which works fine (except for hard resetting of course).
When my phone's screen is black and I want to turn it on, the ripples on the 'lock' screen show up spontaneously in the center of the screen (those ripples that normally follow your finger motion). This led me to believe that it might be a hardware, rather than a software problem (something with a slightly bend screen, causing a pressure focus on site?). I tried manipulating/bending the screen (to an extend ofcourse) without effect.
Further info:
-I dropped it about 4-5 days ago; worked fine after that
-I use extra batteries for a quick change if one's depleted (dunno if that's relevant): using the original battery doesn't fix it
-Didn't recently install new software (well..unless you count reinstalling important software after factory reset)
-I feel like the time it takes my note to 'turn on' after being idle for a while (you know; the black screen that turns into the 'locked screen') is slightly longer, even after the factory reset.
My question is: Does this sound familiar to you? Is this a fixable problem (and how )?
Thanks!

encrypted andriod phone with a broken screen

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4, I have the phone encrypted and accidentally broke the screen. The screen is black and when I reboot the phone I can't see the keyboard to type in the encrypted password to unlock phone and boot it.
I need to find a way to retrieve my data on my computer, in other words to get the phone recognized by the computer.
Screen replacement - Will restore the phone to factory mode "Samsung Policy" Which is ridiculous.
Kies/Smart Switch won't work, phone needs to be rebooted with a password to have USB recognized on computer.
Any advice?
In the old days, when an LCD screen lamp went out, you could shine a flash light onto the screen and see stuff. I don't know if it'll work for you, but you might try it. Other than that I have no ideas except a screen replacement.

I was able to backup my data by doing the following:
Buy a OTG USB, power on your phone wait for a couple of minutes to make sure the phone is steady. Connect the OTG to the phone and keyboard.
Entered the encrypt password, phone was unlokced.
Second part to completely unlock it was by using finger print, if you have to re-enter password use the keyboard. Make sure you have a working phone to see the sequence and which part to press on the screen if it is working.

I did this a few phones ago with the same issue. Buy a film screen protector(not glass), put it on a display unit at best buy or a friends phone of the same type, trace the keyboard with a ball point pen. Place the screen protector as close as possible to the way it was traced. Then cross your fingers. Worked pretty easily when I did it.

[Digitizer / Touchscreen] First unresponsive areas, now full screen no touch register

Hi all,
I have had a strange problem occur to me since yesterday. At first I could no longer pull down the notification menu. After enabling `show touch` in the developer options I could see that my touch would no longer register on the top ~1cm of the screen.
Then it became worse and now the touch screen does not work around 98% of the time across the entire screen. So doing anything on this phone is either impossible or it takes for ever. I have to press and press and press and sometimes it registers, but mostly it doesn't.
I took it apart and made sure all the contacts were still attached, put it back together again and for a few minutes the touch worked perfectly again, apart from the top 1cm. But now it has gone back to being nearly completely unresponsive.
I also tried a factory reset, going back a few nightly builds of CM13 and so forth ... nothing has helped.
Is there a fix for this, or is my digitizer broken, meaning I'll have to either replace the entire screen, the digitizer if possible or just get a new phone and bin this G3?
It hasn't had any tumbles or falls, nor any water contact.
Thanks.
