I think I accidentally posted this in the wrong section earlier. I installed the HTC Home Plugin 6 and cant find a way to get it to auto-refresh/update. Does anyone know a way to make it do this on wake or every so many hours or something? Or can someone recommend another today plugin that will auto refresh?

I think this issue has been addressed before but I can't seem to find a good solution. Anyway here is my problem...
Some applications prevent the device going into standby. For instance a gps application (and others). Is there a way to manage which programs do this?
I would like that when Total commander runs in foreground the device stays on.
This way I can just leave it lying around when it is copying files over wifi.
I found an application which comes close to what i want. Yishins powercheck today plugin allows you to quickly turn off the power save mode. The problem is that it is a today plugin and i'm already using TouchFlo 3D. So they aren't combinable.
I'm looking forward to hearing your suggestions on this topic...

I turn to you asking for help to solve the problem occurred on my HTC Artemis.
I would be grateful if you give me any opinions, advice and recommendations to resolve it.
Recently I bought a new HTC P3300. After two weeks use I had to do hard reset.
After Windows loaded I went to check my sms but I could not do it because "Display crazy".
What I want to say. Example: I want to hit with the stylus Start menu, but the calendar is displayed, press SMS but it shows everything is quick GPS, everything is "stirred". I can not log in the start menu and everything else that requires a touch display.
I thought that if I change the ROM with new things will get better. I put the new ROM version 6, but the wrong things are not stitching, and I stayed in his old.
I would be very grateful if you help me solve my problem.

You could try and re-align your screen its in start>settings>screen if I remember rightly if you can't do that on your phone, there is some software that allows you to control your phone remotely from your pc, I forget what Its called have a search or maybe someone can point you in the right direction.

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has run into these issues, I mentioned them in a thread but decided to make a new post. this happens in both roms
1) Is anyone having issues that some contacts in the messaging client (HTC) lose their pix and you see a sim card instead of their photo? If so anyone know how to stop this?
2) Sometimes when hitting send after writing a txt msg, the screen right away goes black where you have to hit the power button to bring the screen back on.
3) Anyone notice that with this rom, the home weather screen is slower then the stock eu 6.5 with 2.1 manila? Seems it has something to do with the clock, because if you slide the clock up and show only the clock in the bar the weather animation plays just as the demo does (Especially the rain and wiper blade). Can someone check to see if the home page possibly has a memory leak or bad coding? And is there a way to change the flip clock easily to not flip or to a different clock on these roms?
4) Anyone notice during a call there is no way to get to the call history from the dial pad or anywhere? if you know please enlighten me.
5)Anyone figure out how to make the htc sms program bump up the writing section instead of it taking its time?
6) I tried using the SDKCert cab, and it seems to me that it messed up my Sea rom install. Anyone know of another way to re-map the keyboard for an ATT Tilt 2?
Any help or guidenance would be greatly appreciated. And any help I can give I will, I have a spare HTC tilt 2 phone and can test anything out. right now trying to figure out why MSVC doesnt read back txt msgs with another senior member. Hopefully we can get this to work I need that!

Okay here is another one, anyone figure out how when you get a txt msg and hit the msg tab it goes to the first msg and not be stuck on the last msg you read on the msg tab?

I am having issues with mine also.....
i am actually having a bit of a hard time with the new HTC 2.5 ROM.
I have read through the threads and it seems other people are having the same problems.
i.e.- sms very slow-
speakerphone bug- once activated the other person cannot hear you, you have to turn off speakerph and turn on again for them to hear you.
I hard reset but still get the same problems.
I think after I try a few more tweaks I will be able to post a good assessment so others will "hopefully" not have to deal with the same problems.
I hard reset to clear everything and then flashed the ROM again. Took care of some problems.
I installed your Volume Settings cab from another post to take care of the low vol prob.
After flashing the ROM the speakerphone is working. ..
1) I have not had a problem with the contacts
2) I am still having this problem with the text msg
3)To fix the Home screen issues- I installed Cookies Home Tab and his editor
4) Haven't noticed the during call problem but will check it out
5) I installed SMS chat cab to help with the text problems and also disabled the HTC msgng. it is still slow but not as slow
6)I used the Tilt 2 Keyboard fix....

My phone is not working properly. I've had some bugs most people seem to be having, but now I have something which is quite annoying. I can't find it on these forums or anywhere on the internet.

Hardware defects. Eg. Dust under screen, device not going into standby properly. Most of us don't experience these. Contact your retailer to exchange the unit or HTC to claim warranty.
So, I seem to have this problem. The phone wakes up with whatever button I press, and I don't have to unlock the phone. I have a unlock pattern set. It also doesn't ask me for this.
I couldn't find a proper topic about this problem, but I assume I'm not the only one. Is there a fix, or is it a hardware problem?
It wouldn't make sense to me if it's a hardware problem since the screen does turn off when I press the 'power' button.
Any info would be appreciated.

Which Lock?
are you using the built in lock or a third party lock app? I had the same problem when I used LockBot. If it's the standard lock, have you tried Powering the phone off then back on?
I am just using the built in application. I haven't used any other lock app.
I have tried turning the phone off twice, and both times it came back (might have been after charging it, but I don't know at all if that's the reason).
edit: I'm gonna try to recreate the problem with restarting and trying to find out when it stops working properly.
edit2: I restarted now... and it hadn't saved the new background I set... strange... :/
edit3: Ok, it still locks itself... I guess I'll just need to wait and see when it doesn't work anymore... maybe it's just a matter of time for it to stop working...
The problem that you quote in your opening post is probably the problem concerning the Desire (or rather an application running on the Desire) not properly releasing a wake lock which causes severe battery drain, e.g. the calendar app about which another thread exists.
Your problem seems to be quite strange. You do not happen to have an application called 'No lock' installed, right?
No, I don't have 'No lock' installed.
I use 2 calander widgets though... (the little one on my home screen, and an more advanced one on another screen.)
I've got quite some applications installed though... I'll just type them here, maybe someone can see something wrong...

First off: sorry for the double post, but I have some new information which will also mean the end of this topic.
This morning it didn't work anymore, and the only application that did it's thing this night was the kaloer clock (night clock).
I looked at the settings, and there are some settings about screen lock.
It's not clear at all, but I changed some settings, and it locks again.
So, I guess it was just me using an app which I didn't fully understand. I'm glad you guys helped me though. And I'm definitely glad that my problem is solved!

aaaaand i have a couple of questions.
1. Trebuchet stops working. but i've only come across this issure when im in the menu, browsing thru my apps, then i reach the widget section, and it is now 30/30 times it stops working when i reach the widget page. so my question is: anyone who knows how to work out this issure or knows what curses it or anything ?
2. am i completely wrong when i say that the battery drains even faster now ? any thoughts about that ?
3. any of you guys knows if its possible to disable the volume keys on the side of the phone when its up and running (not when starting up, cuz then i cant get into the Hboot)
