LOL... I think this could be possible, of course... but as far as I know there is nobody in the world trying to make a hardware specific emulator... but if, "if" there exist some emulator like that, somebody will need a very very powerfull computer to run it! There is a lot of electronic parts (very state of art kind of) to be emulated.
The WM5 or WM6 emulators are for software test purpose, and you can browse for microsoft visual studio and download a trial. Works great, and runs a lot of applications just like phones (even sync with ActiveSync), but not so fast as the "high end" ones.
thx
okay, thanks...

just curious if this will happen it seems to already have for other phones just seein if anyone is working on this?
i second this suggestion too bad there is not alot of attention to vogue users only kaiser or herald or titan etc..
exatcly im almost regreting getting this phone i have even less help because im verizon everything is sprint
the diamond interface wont work out on vogue. the base OS will be ported, but its really no more of a big deal than any other OS port.

because i've dumped it, looked at it, ported it, and played with it.
its "interface" is called manilla, if you search you will find that it is a graphic intensive replacement for todays htc home, and your vogue does not have graphics support to handle it.
most other OEM apps are portable with a few exceptions, since you wont need connectionsetup or advancednetwork etc etc on a cdma device.
again, its really not exciting. its a new OS build like you have seen in the past. the OEM apps that will work on your device are not new, just new versions.
ok thanks for cleaaring that up i was really only intrested in it for touchflo3d
ummm touchflo 3d is HUGELY memory intensive and is virtually impossible on any vogue.....
We dont have 3d drivers
just a little update unless vetvito beats me to it vetvito is currently working on direct draw drivers. he is having a bit of a difficult time with it from the sound of it but he is working on it.

DCD, I do not think this guy knows who you are.
Hello everyone, i'm looking for and app who could do what spotlight for iphone do. the default searh of 6.5 is limited resco one too.
So i would like to know if winmo have equivalent of spotlight. For those who oesn't know, spotlight is a powerful search fonction, very fast which allow you to search every kind of files in your phone, it can be your contacts, mail, appointements... but also MP3, videos, games... EVERYTHING.
how it works ? you enter the word of what you want and it did the rest.
hope winmo have this kind of soft, it very useful, according to me
thx
Windows mobile already has a search function which works fine for me when i used it. i keep my files organised using this amazing microsoft technology called "folders". Im not so sure about the name but it works fine for me.
Seriously, the iphone has spotlight because it needs it. Winmo gives you everything you need to stay organised and then also gives you a search app.

Wow Man !
Folders seems to be an extreme application ? Can you make a CAB of it ? Do I need to install SDKCerts before ?
Hahaha

Are you sure? i mean this is a heavy duty application. I suggest you read up on them here and if you think you can handle it, ill post up a .cab, but make sure you disable touch flow before you install it.
btw: i realised that ive probably killed the joke by now...
any updates on something like this
Is it possible yet to port or somehow run an Android app for PPC?
I'd love to be able to use Zombie, Run and my Touch Pro 2.
It's a free game currently under developement.
Here's a link to the open source project, and I've attached the program itself in a zip.
Thanks

nope. on Android you use the DalvikVM and program in java syntax, using the Android APIs.
games like these are so easily done on Android because google provides GPS, compass, maps, etc. APIs that are very easy to use.
IF you will see something like this for WM it would be much more work and had to be done from scratch.
Are there any similar games available for windows mobile?
What about this?

It´s very, very similar... Try it and report!

It's great, though it would be awesome if it would use internal GPS on phone/laptop
Edit:
I would love to see this on windows mobile, i can even donate some money to make effort worthy
So, no one to do this right for the money? Not only lacking of devs but they're lazy as hell too..

WTF! It doesn't work on my Xperia X1 :-(
Hey folks! What are the chances that anyone could write an emulator that would allow us to run WinMo Apps in WinPhone?
here you go
http://www.gsmarena.com/windows_phone_7_emulator_now_available_we_give_it_a_spin-news-1529.php
I think he means backwards compatibility.
Would Microsoft even allow it in the Marketplace?
And I don't even know if it's possible... I don't know the limitations of C# and Silverlight, but I would expect it to be extremely difficult (at least if the devices aren't rooted at some point). Speed is another issue; emulation isn't exactly the least taxing thing on the CPU.

Why? ?
I think it's possible.
But WP7S must be unlocked for this. (Ability to execute native code...)
I have handhelds at work that run Windows 6.5 mobile embedded. eSOMS from ventyx is what we use. I would like to 1. have better hardware meaning faster CPU and bigger screen. 2. Android functionality for additional things like google glasses etc. 3. some kind of reader program to be able to have procedures etc.
Is there ANY way to do something like this. I have been searching on here and google searching and have come up with bumpkiss.
I can't believe with the money we spend on tech we are stuck with these pieces of garbage.
I believe an emulator that runs on android will do everything I want but don't see any.
Not one reply? Someone must know how to do this...

How much money would it be worth to have something like this made?
