I found that the slingplayer ppc (1.6) is not compatable with Samsung i780
After streaming the video, it only playback in a small size windows and it can not scaler to fullscreen, at that moment i found the fullscreen button on slingplayer taskbar was gray.
I think the problem is cause by the player didn't support 320x320 resolution.
I tried 96dpi and 128dpi but some problem was occue.
I would like to know if there any software can force to set the i780 to 240x320 or 320x240.

Hey Guys, i have two excaliburs one with the Rogers Rom and one with the Spanish Htc rom, when i play the same video which is 320X240 pixels on windows media player, the Spanish Rom Phone Rotates the video and i can not see it on full screen.... But i don't have that problem with the rogers excalibur...

I found th reg key and solved it!!
Try Core Media Player. (TCPMP) With that program you can manually rotate the screen in 90 degree intervals anyway you like it
As i have searched on internet there is hack for Htc Athena for Vga mode.(640x480)
can this be done with some software hack for Htc Artemis someway (even virtually, only to have smaller icons on screen, and when opening Web browser to have virtual 640x480 resolution) ???
VGA = 640x480 pixels
QVGA = 320x240 pixels
You cannot make a QVGA device sudenly into VGA not possible - Mike
Athena is a vga device and the hack is to make old non vga aware programs run fullscreen
making every pixel fill out 4 pixels
artemis is a qvga device only hack it could do with vga would be to omit every other pixel
resulting it well still beig a qvga device
lcd's pixels are a spc size unlike old crt where the size of the phosper being bomb'd by the electron beam and be adjusted
lcd's cant ever make it's 320x240 display more info then 320 rows and 240 columns of colours
There is a program called ozVGA that was used for that purpose I think. I used it on my old HP Ipaq rx3715 and it worked partially. It made the fonts smaller, harder to read and a little blurry. I think in IE I could see more and that was the reason I was using it. But since there are Browsers with zoom functions I had no use for this program any more.
Be sure to make a backup before you use this tool. It messes heavily with the registry. If you aren't an expert you won't get around a hard reset if you fail.

Thanks for the cab, but I'm not sure what do you mean about the modification to the formulation of visualization. You are correct, the display is a bit off and need some adjustment but I don't know how.
Another thing is, a lot of configurable settings are not there any more, for example, not to set Opera as default browser. I have applications rely on IE as the backend for information retrieval from internet and display them. Opera kind of breaks the normal display of these applications. I need a way to set IE as the default browser.
BTW, does the trick to put Opera 8 cache on Storage Card work for Opera 9 too? Thanks.

But I think it's too much hassle to get the display straight. I uninstalled Opera 9 for now. And yes, I had to go through all those registry settings to get it back to make pie the default browser after uninstall. What a pain...

I just tryed my pda software to see all my video security cam in my house and my office.
And the bad news is the screen on the Touch HD because is in WVGA
Before i used it on diamond and it worked realy fine.
Did you know if is it possible to change that ?

search in this forum for wvgafix3, it will change the resolution of your display to standard VGA. You will have an additional black bar on bottom (it will still be larger than the diamond's one, though)

Swype v3.19.20.20.6343 FOR QVGA, finally, but i need some help
PLEASE DON'T REQUEST THE WORKING Swype CAB, IT'S AGAINST THE RULES AND THE THREAD WILL BE CLOSED pmme!
So, i found out that if i change all the images to qvga and wqvga resolutions, and all other images to half the resolution, AND change the swypescreen.ini file to fit the screen, the swype will work on both qvga and wqvga portrait mode...
Bugs:
.- qvga screens will be readed as wqvga on landscape mode (part of the keyboard will be out of bounds)
.- i can't select quertz and azerty keyboards (it doesn't show in the input settings, maybe there's another way?)
.- The background of the word selection is missing - won't show...
So, there are two questions now:
1.- What is the difference between 2.0 and 3.19? (besides the looks?) i've been using the v2 because it was the only version for qvga and i don't see many diferences besides the good looks of 3.19 and vibration
2.- and if there anyone willing to help me fine tune the app for qvga and wqvga screens?
