Hey Guys, i have two excaliburs one with the Rogers Rom and one with the Spanish Htc rom, when i play the same video which is 320X240 pixels on windows media player, the Spanish Rom Phone Rotates the video and i can not see it on full screen.... But i don't have that problem with the rogers excalibur...
Whtat's Wrong?? Please help me fix this...
download the oldSAP Lanscape cab to fix the rotated screen.
Worked wonderfully for me when I was using Tmo software, as I didnt want to get into reg hacks
You fix this with one registry key!
I think that this Landscape cab would do the work ... if not, i'll send it to you the registry key.
Thanks
I found th reg key and solved it!!
Try Core Media Player. (TCPMP) With that program you can manually rotate the screen in 90 degree intervals anyway you like it

screen orientation is only a minor detail since xml file is easily changed to fit any screen orientation or size, the only time its a problem is if you want it to work for both portrait and landscape in a single xml.
so then how cud we go about porting the version available for the Shadow on the Dash?

I would start by asking shadowmike about it, but its probably not much different. I would then follow install instructions and cabs he has posted on his forum. His cabs were taken/modified from the port for all devices located in Development and Hacking forum here at xda. I know he changes the dpi, but you can do this with dash as well. The main deal would be someone taking the time to adjust the htchomesettings.xml file to properly display the pages and tabs on the dash screen. It wouldn't work on my blackjack, but then again, neither would the htc sliding panels from rose rom.

Sure, you can add registry keys manually for the exe files you want to autorotate. I think the application must support it natively though.
it supports it becuase when i slide out the keyboard it goes into landscape mode
You could try G-Config (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487991). Worked for most applications for me and is way easier than hacking around in the registry.
Any way to enable the GSensor to work with the albums? I came from the Diamond and I liked how I could change the orientation of the picture by rotating the phone. Or was that functionality just taken out of the newer Manilla?

well, if it's the album in manilla 2.5+ it will not rotate.,. but if you open the album application directly from start menu and look at the pics in there it should auto rotate..
Google an app called Gyrator, it will allow you to select which programs you want to autorotate and you can make Albums one
How do I get the images inside slideshow to auto-rotate based on the orientation of the phone? I mean, when I rotate the phone, the image inside a slideshow does not rotate? I want to rotate it to landscape/portrait.
I have tried changescreen and have created exception for htcalbum. Although thumbnails of images inside a album do rotate as I move the phone, but when I start slideshow then the images will not rotate. Any way to do this?
Also I tried Dotfred's Taskmanager and applied GSensor.reg file. It also rotates most of the apps, but htcalbum still has the same problem. I could not figure out how to do this.
I will also like to know if there is a way to undo changes made by importing GSensor.reg file?
Thanks
theres been alot of talk about this. theres just no rotation support in album 3. if your looking at the album itself and not a photo, it does rotate. so the program knows its rotating and ignores the command to do it. i dont know why htc did this, it was a key feature on the original touch pro. ask for the registry edits, you can go into hkcu\software\htc\htcsensor (doing it from memory, my phone is too far away to check this) and delete what you dont want up.
