I'm still with WM 5.0 since i've heard some complains about 6.0 and apparently it's hard to downgrade. Would you guys suggest i switch to 6.0?
Also, any nice applications out there that deserve a download? I'm trying to get the nes/snes/gen games working with little success. We'll see how it goes.
Anyways, you guys have any suggestions and tips in general about this phone?
6.0 is better than 5.0
6.1 Friggin MONSTERS 6.0.
Pocketnester is a nice NES emu. A little searching (not here) and you can find all the games you will ever need for it.
Thanks
I found a gen emulator working perfectly with all the games i might ever need.
I guess i'll upgrade to 6.1 tomorrow unless someone advices against it.
Thanks for the advice.

I just recently got the ip-830 and have searched high and low for an upgrade but i can't find one? Anyone know where one is or give me 1st grade, step by step instructions? LOL.... i'm new to xda, rom altering, phone discombobulating so i have to take it to the store to get it fixed or replaced because i was doing something i wasn't supposed to... lol.. but don't worry, i do know how to sync my phone and save all the stuff i wanna save... lol..
anyway... i would like to upgrade the phone to a WM6 OS, so if any of ya'll can help me, I would love ya for life!
thanks!
Upgrade please!!!
Yes I agree! Please someone (Football HELP...) develop an upgrade for this WM device, hopefully WM6.1, it's really cool but WM5 is so outdated since WM7 is in development now.
Hiya everybody!
I would love if someone could give me directions on where I can get good ROMs for flashing my brand new Artemis...
I'm brazilian, but I'm looking for a ROM in english with the best functions that people could get together....
I'm totally new to modding in here, tho I'm sorta pro in modding Motorola's MotoMING phone (my last one)
So if anyone could help me with directions of a newbie guide, I'd be glad....
I could write a newbie guide myself later on....when I lose the newbie status LOL
Check here for tips http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=362
There are also quite a number or ROMs in there too.
Although I would definately recommend this one.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365312 .. great speed, very light so you can add all your own apps and customize it how you like. Generally speakingm, after flashing alot of ROMs to my Orbit, I tend to stick with Meschle's ROMs and usually stick to his latest Vanilla. Although as I say there are alot of others, depends what your looking for from the ROM.
Any other questions Id be glad to help. I also have quite a collection of prgrams n customiations n stuff if your looking anything.
Thanks a lot for the hand!
It surely will come handy! I got the USPL to go over the CID locking system....
The carrier problem can be solved by the carrier itself, at least nowadays.....
To tell the truth, I'm in need of some tutorials on the best programs to have, what kind of stuff fits well in it...
I work with game design, and I'm starting to develop on python....I was wondering if there is anyway to run python programs in it too...
Last but not least, how much knowledge is necessary to work with Artemis?!?!!? LOL
Hmm unfortunately I dont do programming n such, i think you probably be better off asking those questions in the artemis developement / hacking section
If you were to develop Pocket PC applications, you may use eVC (free) or VS2005/8 (more expensive)
No idea about pythons.
How much knowledge? Probably nothing or as much as it is needed to read english. All you need is to experience and experiment to learn.

Carty..
@fubofo
Thanks for answering again, man! I know that not everyone is a fan of programming stuff....
I got the ROM you said you were using and I'm gonna flash it today...hope it works and I don't end with a 15 hundred bucks brick....
@Carty
When I said knowledge, I ment time spent studying stuff made for it and etc...but still the ability to read english is way too complex for some people in my country....
I'll take a look at the eVC and see what can be done in it....
I have Eclipse's SDK and Visual Studio 2008 here....any of them is good for it?

I have been stuffing around with all different files that have been posted from all the different HTC devices and have managed to get it to boot every time.
Unfortunately only the end button seems to work and nothing else.
If you need help with this I am happy to do so and give you feedback.
Is this still a going concern? I am thinking about selling my 8502 but may hold off if this is still in the works.
Any progress!!!!!

i-mate 8502: Anybody sells display or phone? /alguién vende pantalla o teléfono?
Good afternoon, folks
I was relatively happy with my i-mate ultimate 8502 till I dropped it and the display broke.
As I'm against buying new stuff if you can at a reasonable price fix something, I'm asking if anybody is willing to sell almost altrusistically a display or even the whole phone? We could do it through the normal channels (paypal, google, ebay, whatever). Or in person, I'me based in Spain.
Warm regards,
Manuel

Thanks. i hit google last night and didnt go to bed till i found the info i needed. and i came across all of those pages except for the android one.
by the way. are you using a rom? if you are which one are you using and is there another that you recoomend me to use?
Thank you. Hope your next few days are filled with joy. God Bless.
Well generally what say is what most will say, after you have used the Hard sPL unlocker, i would recommend a simple Rom that has been stripped of all the bloat ware, to get a feel for the speed and responsiveness , then after you get bored with it, then try the other Roms that the fine chef have cooked.
Here is what i have been using, its simple and fast
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811121
Kwbr is getting ready to update the Rom shortly with a newer version.
thanks i was getting stuff ready for when i my parents got me my phone this chirstmas. turns out the got me a unlocked HD2. so im guessing it works the same, since they both run windows 6.5 right?
I would head over to the HD forum and start reading, some may be the same but there will be differences ...i would still set up both phones with stock stripped Roms and compare them both...i still favor the Tilt 2 Pro... because of the keyboard
http://www.infosyncworld.com/review...Tilt+2&name2=&name3=&name4=HTC+HD2+(T-Mobile)
Read this thread then decide....tilt 2 has 3g the HD2 uses edge..

Please don't flame me, but I just don't see what all the hype is about Android. I have recently loaded Myn's Warm Donut onto my Kaiser (on the SD card); it works OK and it's got lots of nice eye candy, but so far I haven't found it terribly useful. I get more out of WM 6.1 (heresy!?) But I'm willing to stick with it on the belief that I may not have discovered the secrets of 'droid yet. With that in mind, I'm wondering if there's a good tutorial out there somewhere to help me get the most out of Android. Any suggestions?
BTW, I admire the work that goes into adapting Android to run on the Kaiser; having a dual boot phone is really cool. Kudos to all you hard working developers.
