hi guys on the today screen, the 'day' has disappeared from next to the date
i.e. it usually sayd what day it is on ther today screen - monday, tuesday, wednesday etc etc
any ideas on how to get this back?
go to start menu\settings\system\regional settings\date and verify the "long date" is formatted to read dddd, MMMM dd, yyyy (or, whatever it should be depending on which country you are in).
I'm in the US and that format makes the long date on my phone read: Thursday, April 10, 2008 - which is how it reads on the homescreen date plugin.

I've got a Daylight Savings Time problem that's putting me on a path towards alcoholism. Let me set the stage...
I'm running a Sprint Touch Pro 2 with MalRom 6.5.3. Desktop PC is Win XP, Outlook 2003 & ActiveSync 4.5. I keep the PC continually up-to-date with Microsoft Update. All latest updates have been applied. Timezone settings have been double-checked and are correct on both my PC and the TP2. On the TP2, I've installed the Daylight Savings Time fix from Microsoft.
Off a hard reset when I sync the TP2 with my PC via ActiveSync, all of my appointments on the TP2 during the 2010 DST period (March 14 thru November 7) are off 1 hour (i.e. an appointment that shows correctly starting at 2pm in Outlook on my PC shows a start time of 1pm on my TP2). Note that this ONLY happens during the DST period. My meeting on March 13, 2010 displays the correct times on the TP2. My daughter's piano recital the next day on March 14th does not. My appointment on October 31st displays one hour early. My next appointment on November 13th (after the time change) displays correctly.
This doesn't seem to be a widespread problem for folks like the 2016 text message bug. Searching for a solution here on xda-developers, only a handful of folks seem to be having the same problem and a chunk of those are having a problem with birthdays displaying on the wrong days, not appointments with incorrect start times. No one seems to have found a fix though.
SOMEBODY out there has had to have experienced this same problem and solved it. I've tried every update and reset suggested in the searches I've found, and to-date, nothing has worked. I'm at wits end and am running out of booze to make the problem go away!
Please help me.
Hi, Had to hard reset my desire this AM due to the sense going into a loop of force closing, think it may have been something to do with updating one of my apps. Got everything back to normal now except that any entries in the calendar appear seem to be 1 hour ahead of where they should be...On the PC the app't may start at 18:00 & finish at 20:00 but on the Desire, it says 19:00 & 21:00...this is for ALL entries (being 1 hour ahead of the actual app't). I have the time zone set for London / Dublin +1:00 as I'm in the UK...any ideas you braniacs?
Summer time maybe?
Thought about that & checked everything on my pc but that's all set up as it ought to be...I notice somebody else on here is having the same issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=669718
ta for looking in though.
Anyone resolved this?
Time shifted back an hour in UK at weekend. My phone is configured to 'use network time'.
Looking at it now, at 15:12pm, the phone shows 15:12pm accurately, my PC shows 15:12pm, but calendar items synced from my PC to my phone are showing the wrong time in my phone.
For example, I have a recurring appointment at 4pm every Monday, but at 2:55pm today, my phone gave me my '5 minute reminder'. That appointment is still showing correctly at 4pm on my PC.
As far as I can tell, Google Calendar items are displaying accurately, and calendar entries created SINCE the time change on my PC sync to the correct time fine.
Any ideas on how to resolve this, I surely *can't* be having to remove and re-add all my meetings everytime the time changes??
Is it possible to see your google calendar subscribtions? I use weeknumbers often, and on my previous Android phone I was able to see the week number subscribtion.
Or is there any otherway to show week number?
Another thing that annoys me a bit is that the day is not written in the calendar in the day viewing, only the date ex: 1.december 2010 not, monday 1.december 2010.
haven't spotted anything for this yet. if you think these changes should be done, twitting windowsphone could be a good place to start.
Had the long awaited message pop up on my HD7 and Zune last night about the new update.
Proceeded to update on Zune then had an error message come up saying not enough space on my C drive on PC, needed MB but cleared 6GB. Restarted phone & PC but wouldn't continue.
Downloaded a fresh copy of Zune to another PC thats never had it. Ran it, found the update then Zune wanted to update itself after only downloading a new copy minutes ago.
Fine, started the update - 10 steps.
Got stuck on step 6 (i think, was phone reboot) and had message on phone saying connect to PC but was already connected.
OK, unplugged phone and started the whole process again. I have used around MB of space on phone so backup took some time.
Worked well through all steps, about 1+ hour.
Restarted phone, looked OK briefly but was very VERY slow and apps wouldn't open. Ages to go from one screen to another.
Got really frustrated as tiles weren't working either. Total [email protected] up.
Tried soft resets, no joy.
2am in the morning and need phone for work the next day.
SIM & battery out, no good.
Then, I noticed it had changed the time / date to 1980 (all my contacts / emails / content was all intact after update and didn't need to restore from backup).
Changed date manually to todays date and autodate didn't work.
Restarted phone and hey presto, all works fine now.
- Cut & Paste OK.
- Haven't noticed any speed improvements
- Feature on calendar - click on appointment and there is a button called LATE. Give you the option to SMS / Email organiser or attendees if you are running late. Nice touch.
- Changes in wi-fi
Anyone came across the above or any new features?

Running HD7, O2 unlocked to Orange.
Yeah, I had that weird time and date problem, it seemed to push my date a week forward and set the time completely wrong. I also had to set these manually to fix it. Not sure why this happened but now some of my texts are out of order after sending and receiving a few message before noticing the wrong date, really annoying. But it is only a small problem so I suppose its not too bad.
I had the same issue when I applied the update via the Hungarian PPTP thing. Today I tried to do a rollback which sadly ****ed up my entire device. So I had to flash a stock ROM. After that was completed, I immediately recieved the update messages for february and march. Date worked fine and even the gradient issue was gone.
Hello,
I just started using Zooper so I don't know yet every command and parameter.
On my widget I have 3 lines that display the next 3 calendar events in the format "TUE 8 18:00 EVENT", but "next event" may be coming way far in the future. I'd like to limit events to those of the next 2 weeks (I don't need to know about things that are months away), how can I do that?
Thank you

I'm rather new to Zooper Widget myself, but I would think that you could make a conditional statement that takes the difference of the date of the event and the current date and if that is < 14, then do the following. Note that I have not tested any of the following, so you would probably have to debug and troubleshoot any issues if some arise.
$#C0SMMdd#-#DMMdd#<=14? #C0TITLE#$
To my understanding, this would say
If (First Calendar event month and Day) - (Current Month and Day) <= 14, then display the name of the first event.
However, there is one flaw with this formula, since it the values would be incorrect the following month (For example the 29th of April would yield the value "0429" and the first of May would be "0501", but the difference is well over 14, but they are within 2 weeks of one another).
Since the difference in months should be the 100s place, you might be able to just do another if statement that says
$[#C0SMMdd#-#DMMdd#>=73] && [#C0SMMdd#-#DMMdd#<=86] [&& #C0SMMdd#-#DMMdd#<-1000]? #C0TITLE#$
I didn't spend a whole lot of time on these numbers, so there may be a few errors. I thought of the worse scenario (Being the last day of February and an event on the next day (0301-0228=73)) and the other scenario being a cap so that you don't get events in the long distant future. The last is for the change of December to January.
As a said, I am rather new to using zooper, so there may be an easier way to do this. If not I hope this helped get you started.
That's definitely a good starting point, I went for
Code:
$#C0yDDD#-#DyDDD#<15?#C0TITLE#$
yDDD gives the date in the format 2014170 (year + day in year with leading zeros, from 001 to 365), so it should be ok in every case
Now I just have to fight with text jumping up and down whether the contain tall letters or not
Thank you very much!
(btw is there a way to stop the configuration window from closing and forgetting what I wrote, if the screen turns off while I'm changing something?)

Sadly, I'm not aware of a way to do that. Although, a lot of people use pushbullet and write the code on their computer and then send it to their phone to test.
