Otterbox switch on? - P3300, MDA Compact III General

Thanks

Another Tomtom 7 question

Hi there,
I have TT7 installed and working fine.
I would like to use it in my pocket with headphones when riding my motorbike however for this to work reliably, I need to disable the touch screen.
So my question is, is it possible to blank/lock/disable the screen and keep TT running so I can hear the directions via my headphones?
Regards,
Richard
Pocket Shield might be able to do this. You'll probably have to live with the backlight being on but it'll protect it from accidental presses. The problem is that TomTom is far too aggressive at keeping itself on top so this might not even do it.
I have exactly the same question so any solutions would be greatly appreciated!
Can't you just swith of the screen using the power button?

Nope. That disables TT7 as does a long press on the Call hang-up button.
R.
how about s2u2 ..
Nope, S2U2 doesn't work any better than the builtin screen lock.

Volume down toggle hangs in Focus S?

Is there anyway to disable or remap the hardware volume toggle on the Focus S, when I go workout with my Belkin armband the down rocker sometimes engages when I expand my arm. But the kicker is even when I take it out it does the same thing until I reset..... I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this or has a fix but I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or advice.

Not sure of a way to disable it but would one of the hard rubberized cases work? The one's that don't cover the volume controls so that they are actually in farther from the edge. Ebay has a lot of them if you want to try one for cheap.

[Q] Anybody know how to fix power button?

When I was trying to swap out my phones screen something came loose, and after looking around I found out it was the power button mechanism. I can't figure out how it fits back in. I tried searching for other people having problems with their power buttons, but they have different problems and that did not help.
So if anybody knows how to put the power button mechanism back together that would help a lot
thanks

[Q] Silicon case that overlaps Home and Touch buttons

Since i activated On-Screen buttons in Temaseks Rom and disabled the hardware buttons I will never miss them.
Further I don't wanna see the hardware home button anymore
Has anybody a link for a silicon case (preferred in white) that overlaps the Home, Menu und Back buttons? Searched a lot in internet, but found not that much. Perhaps someone knows a case for another phone that fits?
Thanks for answers!
Going off topic here but I'm curious
If you've disabled the buttons how do you wake up the phone? :s

lock key i guess?
ontopic: I doubt there'd be any case with such a weird form on the market, if it's silicone you'd still be able to push the home button through the case XD

Wonderfoo PX5 - How to turn off?

Hi,
New to this forum so apologies if this a regular discussion point ( i did search before posting)..
Bought a 2006 Mercedes CLS recently that has a Wonderfoo PX5 android head unit and for the life of me I cant find a way to either reboot it or turn it off completely. When I long press the volume button it says "shutting down", however i think it must just be going into a deep sleep state as when I turn it on again it is back exactly where i left it in under 1sec.
I know that it probably uses very little power in deep sleep state however I would like to know how to turn off plus the car came with a dodgy battery, which i replaced, which suggests perhaps something was draining it previously.
Thanks
Rory
What did the reseller suggest when contacted for support?

Do you mean I should contact Wonderfoo?
I have checked in the factory settings section and the only thing I can see that is semi relevant is this...
"Default power status : off"
Is there any other setting I should be looking for?
Are there any apps you can install that will turn off the head unit without needing to root?
