Ok, so I have the eFrost 1.4.1, which is great except I can't exclude programs (such as notes). The cube with touchflo lets you do this, but I don't use the cube and it just eats up program memory. Is there a straight up touchflo with program exclusions?
*bump* I doubt there is but just wondering if someone has come across something like it...

The one I downloaded from Efrost has a config.txt file in the program folder where if you edit it you can add exclusions.. Or at least I have... Works great!!
I use FTouchFlo like joshkoss suggested, which does have the exclusions.. works great with no problems. I've attacted the FTouchFlo config tool usually found in Schap's roms so you dont have to edit the config file manually..

Hi everyone,
I have an XDA Exec and my current project is to customise my extended rom to install resco, magic button, some ringtones into the windows folder, batti and not have O2 Active (just dingo's connections cab). I have sorted the above, but now I would like to export my whole registry with just these applications installed, along with all my settings 9owner information, MSN, camera settings etc...) If I export the whole registry through Resco, can I then convert that into a CAB using WinCE CAB Manager or soething similar? Is it a good idea? How do I imprt a registry file successfully into WinCE, as I have tried it in the past with previous devices and never got anywhere. I would be extremely grateful for any help, even if its just someone telling me not to bother wasting my time if it won't work!
Cheers,
Fin
WinCE CAB Manager will allow you to make a cab from a reg. However, there are limitations I think, and whether it's wise to do the whole reg is another question. Some of it is volatile. If you pick and choose relevant user settings, you should be safe.

D'oh! I just found out the hard way that importing your whole registry doesn't work for quite a few reasons! Thanks for your reply, I still can't work out CAB manager though. Is there anything particular you have to remember when importing a REG file into a CAB?
There's some issue I read somewhere that it breaks some lines or something in the imported reg. Not sure how or why...
I'd suggest just get the relevant sections, control panel, software, gwes etc... you'll have to glance through your whole reg, try it in individual sections, then compile the lot into one functional bunch.
V
i have been using WinCE cab manager a lot and i have found that importing small sections of 'code' is more reliable than huge chunks, and i have used this methood succesfully to create customised cab file settings (see my theme+ringtone+dialler post) where i extracted parts of the registry and posted into WinCE cab.
thanks
Anyone got a link to one that runs on XP?
Thanks.

Thanks. I should have specified I would prefer a free one. I used one a couple of years back, but I forget what it was called, and couldn't turn it up with Google.
Workaround
I use PHM Regedit on the PPC and MyMobiler on XP http://www.mtux.com/ . MyMobiler is kind of a scaled-back (and freeware) version of (overpriced)SOTI PocketController, but has a lot of cool features that SOTI doesn't. For example, you can drag-and-drop cabs from the PC to the mobile screen and it will auto-install them.

Looks nice. Just installed it. However, the one I used before let you view/search/edit the PocketPC registry using a PC-based GUI rather than just remote controlling the PPC in a window.
Sorry for the confusion.
I also use PHM Regedit on my PDA but I use Mobile Registry Editor to access my PDA's registry from my laptop.
Not perfect but badass none the less.
Cheers Doc. I use PHM too but Mobile Registry Editor by Breaksoft is the one I was looking for.
Thx.
Hi guys, I found MRE thx to you guys but when I use it on my Trinity and try to delete some keys it always gives me access denied...

See if changing HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001 = 1 (RAPI) and
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001005 = 40 (Cert) help
The MRE FAQ has more info regarding this.
PS (Sept 23, 2007) I had to setup a WM5 Samsung i830 the other day and created this security settings cab... enjoy!
If you download CorePro or UltimateCore they have some great remote regedit software included - saves hunting about.
There's a tool to run a complete dump (to .txt file) of your PPCs registry and one to edit it as if you were using PHM, Resco or even Regedit on your desktop - but in WinXP.
Just found this one. It is quick and looks to have more options than Mobile Registry Editor

This looks like it installs its own custom interface and doesn't use the touch cube. Is this correct?
There's a Hermes thread on this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=327846
Guys this program is a memory whore, takes like 4 megs of ram, not ideal at all for anyone getting email from an exchange server or people using active sync.
It works. The config can be a bit tedious and you'll need to get some better icons (see the hermes thread referenced above), but it pretty smooth. It does seem to slow down over time though and your screen gets fingerprinty but it works as advertised.
Can this work on the hermes?
How to install and make it work?
Is it touchflo or button flo?
PLEASE REPLY THANKS IN ADVANCE

I would call it: FlashFlo
Olioaglio
where can i download it?
Loving TouchFLO, testing!
This will be the closest we get to TouchFLO with the Hermes. Its a decent project, excited to see the final version...
not touchflo
I
Just to clarify some aspects.
the application is not the touchflo inself
the touchflo is finger scroll in all applications , so you dont use stylus, touchflo substitute the scroll bars.
see you
If this flashflo is just for the Cube, it is not the real touchflo because it can't finger scroll in wm6 anywhere
Good application, sadly isnt touchFLO, but none the less I see more of this kind of application spawning. HTC have created a monster with touchFLO.
Will anyone be porting Internet Explorer Mobile 6 and getting it into a ROM for hermes? is it even possible?
I woul;d like to know that too, thanks.
me!!! =D. perhaps CRC?

It appears to be baked into [NEW] 19/12/08 [Release] 20940/build 20931 Manila2D Black FULL - Very Fast and Stable.
Really I hate Manila2D it take up so much memory, it make the phone run slow.

You Sure? is there a non-manila version of this ROM?
Yes, pls see thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=458456. I don't know if IE6 is in that version. Perhaps you can pm the developer and ask for a cab???
See also: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=461680, just posted.
Anyone have the components to add into my kitchen?? chefs out there?
http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2008/11/11/internet-explorer-mobile-6.aspx
just read a few comments u'l see it is crap
i have it coocked in rom 20755 somwhere on hermes there was it working the first time
on kaiser its on newer builds standart but nobody uses it for its lasyness the opera builds are all much faster . youtube is working only in desktop mode not mobile mode so u can not really use it.
Here you go chefs, Enjoy, But i do agree with anryl

add into sys folder of your kitchen and kook a rom.
it's actually cooked inside the already linked rom, but it doesn't work so good. You can't open sites like m.facebook.com or m.youtube.com... It says they don't exist.
Nice finger scrolling, but it is not breaking news...
I think MS was right in not making this available as an update and only integrated with new phones. Really is a POS running on a Hermes... previous version works much better for these units.
so it's more bloatware =(

Sorry man! i don't.
TAI_Sw already built it in his manila roms.
better then old IE, consume less RAM than opera but a little bit buggy. As for me - very similar to opera, but whithout nice interface and whithout multitabs.
As for me - Netfront is the best browser.
I think that you need to taste the Skyfire...
It runs well but it dont have sound for flv player on usb activesync conn.
Over 3g GPRS edge or WIFI works very very nice!!!!

just deselect touchflo 3d from items in today settings. that disables the manila UI and gives you winmo std. if you select windows default that usually brings up titanium home screen! you can add all the items you want without windows default and touchflo 3D ticked.
