Hello,
I was wondering if there was a way to delete all my contacts stored on the phone memory.
All advice/tips/suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance, Uzzy

PPC ContactsManager
I think PPCContactsMgr can do the job for you ?

Heya
you can use pimbackup 2.7 to back up & restore pim (messages, contacts, call history, emails, ...etc). run a search to get it in xda devs
you can delete your messages all at once
you can delete your call log all at once
you can delete your CONTACTS all at once
basically i would say its a must for ppc users!
best wishes

hard reset ?!

I'd prefer some software that does it as i don't want to lose all my programs and settings. Thanks for the comment anyway

i am posting this in 2011, for those with newer android phones, try here:

The only way i know is thru 3rd party software such as SKTOOLS that give you the option of deleting all pim data.
I think I read of a solution on howards forum or here quite a while back.Connect your device up to active sync. After the synch has stopped,go to explore device via activesync. Under my device (if I remember correctly) you will see a file called pim.vol. This contains the contact info. Rename this to something like pim1.vol and close.Softreset device.Go back into active synch thru explore device.During the soft reset windows automatically creates another contacts file called pim.vol which will now be empty. Next step is to delete the original but now renamed pim1.vol. file. All the old contacts would have been deleted at the touch of a stylus.
Any step wrong please feel free to correct me but I believe the steps are correct.
I stumbled upon an even easier solution
In activesynch v4.5click tools>options and un-check contacts.
a box pops up which reads
"to proceed, activesynch must remove all contacts on your pocket pc. do you want to continue?
click yes.
easy peasy!
ContactsManager
or you can use PPCContactsMgr....

it just adds the number/letter bar on top of the screen when you are dialing out or in a call. it is used for when you need to call a number like 1800-tmobile.

That's strange, I've never had it do anything like that. I'd let the author know, it may be a bug.

What's up with "vCalendar?"

I was looking though my gf's calendar (she has a Dash as well) and I found some appointments in her calendar. I was thinking that it'd help me if I knew these things so I hit Menu. I found "Send as vCalendar" and used that. It created a new MMS message. After receiving it I have just a ".txt" file that I do not know what to do with.
Is it possible to use that file on the phone to auto-populate those entries into my calendar? Or is that not what vCalendar is for?
Nows.
The message I entered was too short.
u cant be trusted!!
Really? REALLY? Come on now. Do better than that. I know you can.
to the top and beyond!

Sending contacts using SMS

Is there a way to bring up a contact on my phone and then forward that using SMS? I have searched everything I can think of and haven't been able to find an answer. My wife uses me as her personal 411 and I can't tell you how much it would mean to me if I could bring up a contact she's asking about then choose and option to SMS send it to her.
Help please, if you have any suggestions.
you mean send phone number (contact) with sms ?
Yes.. exactly!
Andy... Where is the app for that screenshot?
Major warning guys
Do not click on the picture above as it sends you to a site that is nastily infected... just in case this only happened for me, please do not hesitate to delete this message... anyrate, just a friendly warning...
Also, yes please, tell me where we can get this extension!
This is a feature in WM 6.5 (or maybe it's 6.5.x) anyway - I know I can send a contact (or part of a contact, you get to select what exactly) by SMS or Beam (infra-red if you still have an irda port)
I can't screen shot (don't have the app installed) but have tested it - it works great between WM devices, however sending info to an iPhone results in absolutely nothing happening - so must be a WM native thing?
Aj
Im also lookin for something like this i guess i got into the habot after i used a nokia when my old phone was on the fritz i could send a contacts details to anybody and they would recieve it no problem. While my TP2 which is supposed to be such a "smart" phone cant send a contacts details??
