Is there a way to bring up a contact on my phone and then forward that using SMS? I have searched everything I can think of and haven't been able to find an answer. My wife uses me as her personal 411 and I can't tell you how much it would mean to me if I could bring up a contact she's asking about then choose and option to SMS send it to her.
Help please, if you have any suggestions.

This is a feature in WM 6.5 (or maybe it's 6.5.x) anyway - I know I can send a contact (or part of a contact, you get to select what exactly) by SMS or Beam (infra-red if you still have an irda port)
I can't screen shot (don't have the app installed) but have tested it - it works great between WM devices, however sending info to an iPhone results in absolutely nothing happening - so must be a WM native thing?

Im also lookin for something like this i guess i got into the habot after i used a nokia when my old phone was on the fritz i could send a contacts details to anybody and they would recieve it no problem. While my TP2 which is supposed to be such a "smart" phone cant send a contacts details??

Reading around in the net I found the review of a new phone: E-TEN M600, follow the link: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/E-TEN_M600.htm. They talk about a new software called INDEX DIAL. Since you still haven't received any answers let me at least try to point you in the right direction.
ETEN M600 is not a new phone. It's been around for over a year and despite looking good on paper it had a ton of problems and needed constant ROM updates. I considered buying it my self when it first came out, but now I am glad I didn't.
The app you are talking about is a feature unique to this phone (ETEN bought / wrote the app and stuck it in ROM) and is not available for other phones. (At leas I haven't heard of a 3rd party app that does this)
Hoeven, programs have been extracted from the eten ROM. You should look in the ETEN specific forum (this board is mainly about HTC manufactured devices) maybe someone extracted the index dial.

how to create a link to this program?
YES!! I love this program: I installed it on my MDA (T-Mobile USA) and it works fine. My problem is how to create a link so that I can activate it fast. It doesn't show in the Programs, it doesn't show in the Items setting, nor in the Menus setting, nor can it be associated to any button. Any suggestion?

Could someone help me with getting my dialer to work?
I've installed 'GTX Dialer' which seriously f***d up my phone. After installation I couldn't use the Dialer at all. All the graphics in phone canvas were displaced or absent. After uninstalling the skin the issues remain. Just look at my dialer:

The dialer is pretty much unusable. I have to use the hardware keys to answer/end a call.
I was told to install a different dialer for Rhodium to repair the damage, but after installing NP_EvO_Dialer_TOPAZ_RHODIUM_S2 I had the same issues. I tried with Rotastain's Rhodium Dialer but it also didn't fix the problem.
ANY help highly appreciated. I'm using Touch Pro2 with AF Rhodium ROM (6.5.x, Sense 2.5 2012). I can't find Rhodium's official Dialer on XDA but even if I would I'm not sure would it fix the problem. Is hard reset the only option? Overall Touch Pro2 is suppose to be a PHONE.
I would like to note, that the issues appear only when making/answering a call (that's when the screen gets so mixed up). The first window you see when opening "Phone" works file (in portrait and landscape).
Since you installed other dialers and had no luck you have only one option as far as I can see..... Hardreset.
Back up all your contacts and whatever else you want either with outlook, microsoft myphone or pim back up then do a hard reset... reinstall all your programs and resync everything you backed up and it will be fine..
screwing up your phone is the name of the game when doing customizations.

No Idea, I'm a Google Voice user, but once in a while a friend wants me to send a picture so I use the stock app, and she's on Sprint with an iPhone4, and she NEVER receives my mms (i'm on T-Mobile), or, I'd have to send it 2-4 times before she receives.

The way I made it work was to go into the T-Mo web site and set my phone to one of their phones. Just pick something like Amaze.
If i remember correctly, this happens because T-Mo thinks your phone is not capable of displaying the MMS.
If you search around there is a detailed explanation in the forum... Anyway, change the phone on the web page and it will work...

The only thing I can think that this is a problem with your service provider.
Cause this is the first time a see something about our smartphone.
Call them and try to see if they know something about.

hmmmm Okey
Okay so after several yrs i'm BACK to where it all started for me first smart phone HTC Hero so my question when i am looking to make a call wrather then scrooling through all my contact's to find the person i'm looking for where is the box to type in someones name and it pop's up , trivial question but i just can't seem to find out how , istead again of searching through all contacts kind of like a search bar ...? I'm Extreemly Happy with my decision coming from the samsung galaxy's Edge Plus , and to be honest i loved that phone and will probably by it back when i find a good one on craigs list , any advise would be greatly appreciated , and one last thing when are Us T Mobile guy's going to get there own thread...? Tap on the magnifying glass then a box appears at the top of the screen which will allow you to search for the chosen contact.

You can also use the phone dialer.
Start spelling the name on the dialer keypad. My most recent call match seems to come up first, touch picture to dial that number. The # of matches are shown on left side, tap that to open the list of all matching contacts. Matches are narrowed by adding more letters. Use enough letters to narrow to a reasonable number.
