The only way i know is thru 3rd party software such as SKTOOLS that give you the option of deleting all pim data.
I think I read of a solution on howards forum or here quite a while back.Connect your device up to active sync. After the synch has stopped,go to explore device via activesync. Under my device (if I remember correctly) you will see a file called pim.vol. This contains the contact info. Rename this to something like pim1.vol and close.Softreset device.Go back into active synch thru explore device.During the soft reset windows automatically creates another contacts file called pim.vol which will now be empty. Next step is to delete the original but now renamed pim1.vol. file. All the old contacts would have been deleted at the touch of a stylus.
Any step wrong please feel free to correct me but I believe the steps are correct.
I stumbled upon an even easier solution
In activesynch v4.5click tools>options and un-check contacts.
a box pops up which reads
"to proceed, activesynch must remove all contacts on your pocket pc. do you want to continue?
click yes.
easy peasy!
ContactsManager
or you can use PPCContactsMgr....

Just bought new trinity, copy my contacts from mini SD & then inserted my SIM...but my contacts display all contacts in SIM & phone...
FYI....my phone runs WM6 official
Now I have all contacts "double".....my questions:
1. any idea how to display phone contacts only, without SIM contacts
2. one stupid question...how can I delete all contacts? seems there is no "select all" option in order help me select all contacts then delete them all.
Thanks
Wid
That happened to me too I had both, so what I did with this small tool I picked the feature I didn´t want SIMcontacts" or "Phonecontacts" and I deleted all, after that I selected the choice I wanted.

yes dta....downloading now....will post the result here...thanks a lot!
an error occurred when I tried to apply the software to my phone
any idea why?
I don´t know what to say it´s the first time I see that.Is your device P3600I or P3600?I use it for my P3600 and it works great, try again after a softreset, you don´t have to install it,it´s just a executable file.
I am using Dopod 810, I guess its 3600.
Yeah, its executable in pc...the error message appeared on the pc screen.
Tried HTC custom as well.....installed well, but when I tried applying the changes....error message appeared on my phone...
Any idea why? or how can I delete all contacts instead of deleting them one by one
No,no it´s and executable that you should put in your memorycard,it´s not a pc executable.

Heya
you can use pimbackup 2.7 to back up & restore pim (messages, contacts, call history, emails, ...etc). run a search to get it in xda devs
you can delete your messages all at once
you can delete your call log all at once
you can delete your CONTACTS all at once
basically i would say its a must for ppc users!
best wishes
hard reset ?!

I'd prefer some software that does it as i don't want to lose all my programs and settings. Thanks for the comment anyway
i am posting this in 2011, for those with newer android phones, try here:

Yeah, thanks for reviving a 3 year old thread.
Just wanted to check to see if there were any updates either through Froyo or developer to deleting multiple emails at once. It is soooo annoying to click one by one. Even when I delete them directly from hotmail on my computer and refresh my phone, they still stay there (on phone). Am I missing something?

Yes I too suffered this frustration but figured out how to do it last night. Go to your email client and then hit Tue menu button then select the delete option now just tap all the messAges that you want deleted Nd then hit delete and presto your all done works very well and fast. Go luck....
Pure genius...thanks
This has been bugging me for over a year. You sir, are a genius. Thanks!!
in the gmail app all you have to do is check the ones you dont want (the check box is directly to the left of the subjects in your and it will autmatically bring up option at the bottom to either archive, labels, or delete.
see where i circled in green

Is there a way to bring up a contact on my phone and then forward that using SMS? I have searched everything I can think of and haven't been able to find an answer. My wife uses me as her personal 411 and I can't tell you how much it would mean to me if I could bring up a contact she's asking about then choose and option to SMS send it to her.
Help please, if you have any suggestions.
you mean send phone number (contact) with sms ?
Yes.. exactly!
Andy... Where is the app for that screenshot?
Major warning guys
Do not click on the picture above as it sends you to a site that is nastily infected... just in case this only happened for me, please do not hesitate to delete this message... anyrate, just a friendly warning...
Also, yes please, tell me where we can get this extension!
This is a feature in WM 6.5 (or maybe it's 6.5.x) anyway - I know I can send a contact (or part of a contact, you get to select what exactly) by SMS or Beam (infra-red if you still have an irda port)
I can't screen shot (don't have the app installed) but have tested it - it works great between WM devices, however sending info to an iPhone results in absolutely nothing happening - so must be a WM native thing?
Aj
Im also lookin for something like this i guess i got into the habot after i used a nokia when my old phone was on the fritz i could send a contacts details to anybody and they would recieve it no problem. While my TP2 which is supposed to be such a "smart" phone cant send a contacts details??
try this, it's not perfect though:

Hey! Don't know if you've tried this method yet but I'll post it anyway:
Transferring your contacts
The first step in this rather easy process would be to create a Gmail account if you don’t already have one. Why do you need to do this? Android requires -- note how we put that in bold italics -- a Google account in order to activate the phone. Once your new account is created add it to your device, then download Google Sync on your BlackBerry, which syncs your contacts and calendar into Gmail. The backup process can take some time, depending on the size of your phone book. But once you sync that new Gmail account to your Android phone, it will now pull all of your contacts, e-mail and calendar to the device. Rather simple, huh?
Did a quick Google search on this topic and got that info from here: http://www.androidcentral.com/jumping-blackberry-android-heres-what-you-need-know
