Would this simply work with SDHC supported ROMs?

Theoretically yes. As far as i remember, the SDHC standard can achieve 32Gb. I suppose the drivers are already including this possibility. (6Gb and 8Gb are working well)

I knew about this problem but now that I have my 4gb sd I got also the problem. I know I should fill my SD to 2gb to let cam app recognize it, but I was asking if there is any patch that can solve the problem.
THX in advance.
That would be cool yes, i suffer the same problem
so did i until i filled up 1/2 of the card with several movies. now it doesn't matter. besides... the camera is pretty crappy even when it does save to the SD Card (and it's slower too).
Upgrade your rom - this problem is fixed on the newer roms.

What versin should I use, plus the Camera app is so slow, how can we fix that????
For the decision of this problem, it is necessary "to break" SD4Gb into two Partitions on 2Gb.

On PC in BIOS has disconnected all IDE, except for that on which PCMCIA/CF, has inserted there 5in1 with SD, loading with loading diskettes WIN'98, fdisk, support of the big partitions - YES... 2 disks, a format... All.

I have last AKU3.2
My rom : beta 10,4g sd: transcend
Everything is OK
Hi.
I think I'm going to install this rom on my HTC Wildfire S. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1314430 (unless someone can suggest a better stable alternative)?
I have a 16GB sd card - how should I partition it (ie - what sizes)?
Im using mindhaxor's Rom. Its good for me.
Size depends on the amount of apps u r going to install.
If link2sd not more than 2 GB.
If data2sd. Generally no limitations.

Thanks but having looked at it, it still appears there are some bugs. I'll wait for a stable release.

Can you provide more detail or instructions?
Does any developer know of a way to substitute the stock kernel in a note 2 with one that allows the app2sd init,d script.
my note 2 is rooted and has CWM but other than that no other changes. i am a very heavy user of apps due to the field that i work in, and 16gb internal mem is not good enough, i have a 64gb class 10 sd card fully working, but very underused.
as per the below threads

I would like the answer for this one too.
So, anyone knows how to implement the init.d on rooted stock kernel/rom with CWM recovery?

I am currently running "ICS-"FLEX-A100-REAPER-RELIX_Rev2" with a 32GB FAT card. What is the best procedure to set this up to support files over 4GB? Can I convert to extFAT, ext3, ext4 without any issues? I have the current version of TWRP installed.

Depends on the kernel supporting it or not. Ex fat is generally the more compatible for android between those 2 though.

exfat is full supported in twrp just not in android except via some oem app for paragon so i can't use the exfat in android at all. Maybe ill test ntfs and see if it's supported in twrp but from what u guys said it isn't but that would fix my issue since i need it to work in android/ windows/ and twrp...
Again depends on the kernel supporting it or not. If the kernel has support for exfat then android does and vice versa. Same with recoveries. I think the godmachine kernel may support it already.

I'm on the Galaxy Note 2 so im not sure but paragon says it only give exfat support to oem user so i don't know how to get that app but otherwise recovery for twrp supports exfat... ill test ntfs in twrp and see since im on CM10 Jellybeer at the moment which i like a lot more than stock modded roms.

yeah i tested it on my sgh-i317 note 2 and exfat works in twrp just haven't tested ntfs since android doesn't work with exfat at all

Exfat works fine in android, my thrive roms and kernels support it. As I said, its about being supported, not being on android. Twrp is built against android source as well.

You could try renaming ex fat to fat32 it worked on old GPS units to go higher than the 32 gig cap or do a command line format on windows to force it. I don't know if it would work but worth a try.

But fat32 has the 4gb size limit, the point to this thread was a filesystem without that limit. Or did I miss the trick there?

Hi guys.
In terms of battery life what is the best rom in the newest build?
Are you just wanting to know about CM builds? Because I've tried all and liked most of them, but as far as battery life, none come close to stock, Which is why I'm running this stock based custom Rom..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462453
As far as CM builds I had the best battery life on carbon.... Still no where's close to the aforementioned Stock based Rom...
Just my humble opinion....

I've been using a 64gb card in every phone I've owned and it work perfectly on carbon. If you don't wanna go through the hassle of enabling exfat support, then use a PC program to format the 64gb card to fat32.
Did not see any

I tried a few ways to get the ExFat to work, CM does see my 64GB ExFat without any "jumping thru hoops" just not as "cool" as Carbon IMHO.
How did you get your ExFat to work on Carbon?
Tx's....

I have my 64gb card formatted in fat32. Natively, Windows and Android can't format anything higher than 32gb to fat32 but a program like this: http://tokiwa.qee.jp/EN/Fat32Formatter will do it. Only downside is that you can't have a single file over 4gb on the card. But really, who is going to have 1 file over 4gb on their phone? This will also allow your 64gb card to work on ALL ROMs without having to do anything lol.

i don't have too much of a battery issue with carbon rom. i love having the customization capability. i hate bloatware, locked features, no wifi tethering.
